Partway up the mountain, clear out of the view of the ninja trio, were the same two cloaked beastkin from before. They both looked at one another, nodded, and turned to look at the mountain wall behind them. Both spread out their arms and blue lightning bolts suddenly flew out from their hands, striking the mountain and sending several large chunks of rock down towards the group below. As the large stones and boulders fell, they crashed into the mounain repeatedly, breaking more parts off and sending an even larger group of stone onto the heroes.

"Hah... superstition? Really, it's not anything to do with being simple or not. To people like us, what else do we believe in?" Sael gave a quiet smile as he looked back at Franz. Truly, he wasn't a fanatical believer in superstition, but he was open enough not to dismiss it altogether. Unproved superstition was just superstition. Proven superstition was magic. Whatever line separated them was blurred out, hard to define, and harder to prove.
As they continued walking, Sael's legs jauntily moving up the mountain path, following Franz' brisk pace, the beastkin looked upwards at the mountain they were trekking, wondering who's bright idea it was to put an HQ at the top of a mountain. Surely there was a more practical location to put such an important base, maybe it was easier to defend, but it was rather a inconvenient place to traverse to all in all.
"...so what does that mean to you? You're not worried about someone, are you?"
Franz's words snapped the beastkin's attention back to the carefree ninja, Sael's eyes softening, the beastkin looking away from Franz as his mind quickly imagined the image of a cheerful, beaming elf with long chestnut brown hair, staring straight at the beastkin...
"I..." Sael suddenly stopped in the middle of his answer, before completely stopping his movement, his eyes widening as he sprinted forward, tackling Franz and him to the ground as a huge boulder crashed into the spot where Franz used to stand. Quickly pulling his companion back to his feet, the beastkin sprinted forward, narrowly avoiding death as a wave of rocks crashed around the trio. Damn it, a rockslide? He assumed Kageru would be fine behind them, the stealth leader wouldn't be taken out by a few rocks.

Judging from the pace and tension of their trek, the lion man thought that everyone would cooperate just fine. Although, tensions began to spike as soon as he saw boulders rushing toward the trio. "Ngh, what the...!?"
Before the giant rock was even at a point that could scathe his feline ears, he dodged it without a problem. The only problem of the outcome was that he dodged in the opposite direction where Sael had tackled Franz in an effort to keep the cybernetic assassin from getting crushed. As a result, Kageru was left completely separated from the other two ninja because of the stacks of fallen rocks.
Assuming responsibility as the leader of the ragtag squad, he rushed to the boulder and yelled, "Is everyone all right!?"

Mt. Yama East Side ~ 6:16 PM
As the dust slowly cleared a white-cloaked female beastkin became visible. Only the lower half of her face was visible, which showed she was fairly cat-like. The shape of her feline ears were also visible through the top of her hood. She stood silently in front of Sael and Franz, several yards up the mountain.
West Side ~ 6:16 PM
A wolf-like beastkin became visible as the dust cleared from the rock slide. He wore a bright white cloak which shadowed the upper half of his face, leaving his snout fully visible. He was actually only about four yards away from Kageru, closer than the female was to Sael and Franz. Just who were these two?

Sael coughed violently, the sudden dust and debris in the air covering the area around him as he covered his eyes and nose, trying not to breath it in. Tch... an ambush. Sael and Kageru had expected it, but the ferocity of the attack caught them off guard, and now, they were separated. And in an ironic twist of fate, it was because of falling rocks... he was honestly tired of falling rocks by now, the beastkin thought dryly to himself as he glanced ahead, his eyes widening as he saw a beastkin ahead in front of the two. Damn it... so it was these two?
Franz was doing a bit better next to Sael, who had pushed him narrowly out of death's embrace at the last second... he had saved the beastkin's life in the mines, and now he owed Sael his, the ninja thought ironically, covering his mouth as the dust around them swirled about.
"Thanks man... almost got me back there." Franz called out to Sael in front of him, his mouth forming a carefree smile in spite of the situation they were in, spotting the beastkin assassin ahead. Oh man... Kageru was behind them, wasn't he? This would be a little harder then usual then... ah well. What's done was done, right? With Sael's help like before, they probably could handle one beastkin or two without any problems, he thought to himself, his gauntlets coming out in front of him as he spotted Sael pull out his swallow, the double bladed staff gleaming wickedly in the sunlight. That lad was really an interesting guy... curiously, he wondered what he was going to say before the rocks interrupted them....

Mt. Yama ~ West Side - 6:16 PM
Apparently, nobody on the other side could hear him. Kageru tried to call out to them again, but to no avail. "Argh, this is ridiculous." Before the lion ninja had the time to contemplate his next move, he could spot a heavy set figure in another direction a few yards away from him. He began to focus all of his attention on the new life form.
"What do we have here? Yet another uninvited guest?" He placed his hands over and behind his back and rested his palms on the back of his head in a relaxed carefree manner. His pair of kodachi could be unsheathed from this position in an instant in case he was getting himself into a fight.

Mt. Yama East Side ~ 6:17 PM
The cloaked bestkin continued to stare silently at Sael and Franz. Its cloak suddenly opened and its hood fell down as its body changed shape. In mere seconds the beastkin had completely changed its appearance. She now had a white, feminine, human-like face. Her eye were black and there were several tribal markings of the same color on her forehead and cheeks. Her white body was thin yet had noticeable muscles along with small form-fitting pieces of armor on the arms, legs, and stomach area. Her chest and pelvis area were both completely exposed and unarmored. These two areas had markings similar to the ones upon her face. The armor itself was mainly white, but had black areas on it as well.
The mysterious woman flipped her hair out of her dark cloak, revealing long black hair. However, the hair began moving and floating on its own and the image of stars and the void of space could be seen within it. She took out a metal bar from within her cloak and pressed a small button on it. A four foot beam of black energy burst from the handle and the glowing woman grasped it with both hands, keeping her eyes upon Sael and Franz the whole time.
West Side ~ 6:17 PM
A burst of bright energy erupted from the male beastkin, ripping his cloak and flesh to shreds. Standing in his place was a humanoid creature of pure black energy. It had a masculine body and could be assumed to be male. He had only bright white eyes and a row of small spikes starting at the base of his chin and going in a straight line, curving onto the top of his head and stopping just at the back of it. Black samurai-like armor covered this man's body with white "cloth" covering the unarmored joint areas and pelvis area. This same white cloth was used in the cape attached to the shoulder armor.
His white eyes seemed to glow brighter as he swiftly took a metallic handle from the cloth belt around his waist, activating it and revealing the blade of white energy within. He pointed the beam saber at Kageru, signaling for a duel.

[[Sorry guys... I know its been a while. I'll take over Franz until SRK is back/wants me to stop.]]
"Oh wow... I think I've seen that in a movie somewhere." Franz lightly joked around in a carefree tone as the beastkin drew its weapon, the black beam saber ominously omitting a dim obsidian light, pointed directed at his heart... that wouldn't be good. If their weapons touched that thing, they probably wouldn't last very long, but it felt like keeping a distance on this assassin would be the worst possible thing to do for some reason. Franz's right arm glove began to morph quickly, the human ninja smirking as a set of long, black steel claws known as Tekko-kagi emerged. Now, it was probably best to make a plan before the assassin-
Sael bursted off before Franz could complete his thought, the ninja's eyes widening as the beastkin, with light, almost silent footsteps, sprinted towards the assassin ahead of them with almost reckless abandon. Tch... they needed to hurry up here, so that they could regroup with Kageru, Sael thought silently, his cobalt blue eyes staring straight into the beastkin assassin's ahead of them. His double bladed staff held straight in front of him, the beastkin dashed to the assassin's side at a distance, slashing at her midsection with the front of his blade. Her weapon was long, but not longer then his. It wasn't quite like anything he had seen before... a weapon made of a material... no, that wasn't it. It wasn't made out of any material, and somehow, Sael got the impression that his swallow wouldn't last very long against it. But he still had the range advantage, and if Franz gave him some support, and Sael kept his distance, then they could finish up quickly and get out of this place.

Mt. Yama ~ West Side - 6:17 PM
He extended an ear toward the pile of rubble that separated him from his allies. He expected for either of the two groups to notice each others' prescience beyond the border, but he decided to not focus on that to prevent himself from further delineating himself from the situation at hand; his next opponent.
Taking note of how the creature's sword was pointed toward him, Kageru knew full well it was itching for a fight. "So, you wanna go at it? Very well, I'll play your little game." The bold combatant knelt his torso forward and pointed at his own chin. "I'm feeling generous and I'm in a rush, so feel free to take the first hit. Don't worry, I won't budge!" It seemed rather arrogant for him to just give himself away like that, but the swordsman before him most likely knew nothing about his speed and ability to blindingly counter any attack that comes his way at the very last minute. If this monster were smart, he wouldn't dare try to fall for Kageru's little ploy.

Mt. Yama East Side ~ 6:18 PM
The mysterious woman easily blocked Sael's strike with her beamsaber. The white-hot energy of the blade quickly caused steam to slowly rise from the beastkin's weapon. She cocked her head at him, as if saying "What are you doing?". The woman quickly poured strength into her arm, easily pushing Sael away from her with one hard push. It was apparent she was physically stronger than Sael.
West Side ~ 6:18 PM
The lightsaber-wielding samurai pulled back its blade, getting into a battle stance. It should have been obvious from his appearance alone that he was not a novice in combat. He knew that an experienced fighter would never leave themself open in such a way unless they were planning something. This ninja beastkin was the leader of one of Rellinis's three villages and, therefore, could not be anything close to a novice in combat either. The black samurai jumped into the air towards Kageru, raising his blade as if ready to strike.
However, for the briefest of moments he seemed to float in the air. Within that instant azure lightning covered his beamsaber, crackling loudly as if demonstrating its destructive power. The samurai moved his blade in a horizontal motion, sending the bolts towards Kageru. If he did not move this instant, he would be severely electrocuted as well as blown back by whatever stray bolts hit the ground and exploded.

Mt. Yama East Side ~ 6:18 PM
"Ugh...!" Sael grunted as his assailant blocked his slash, pushing him back almost effortlessly with her spare hand. The beastkin stumbled back further then he thought he would, his eyes widening as he dangerously teetered near the edge. Regaining his composure, he pushed forward, attempting to flank around the assassin's back as his weapon flashed in front of him, Sael swinging the swallow in a horizontal slash at her waist. Ahead of him, Sael caught a glimpse of Franz's claw, the human ninja deftly dashing in front of the two and lunging forward with his claw aimed at the assassin's head in an attempt to catch her in a pincer attack.

Mt. Yama ~ West Side - 6:18 PM
The ninja was able to see the lightning coming from a distance. He didn't move from the spot as he'd said, but in response, he kicked a boulder into the lightning that came down to him as the other sparks went flying by him. "Tch, ah well," he mumbled under his breath.
Once the attack halted as the boulder was suspended into the air, he hopped on i and used the rock as a, literally speaking, stepping stone, to reach the samurai in midair and charged at him with both kodachi in tow. He immediately followed up with a vertical slash of one of the blades. If blocked upon contact, he'd use the enemy's force to help him quickly maneuver in mid air beside him for a followup slash to his side using his other blade.

Mt. Yama East Side ~ 6:19 PM
The female swordsman reacted quickly to this double assault, jumping straight into the air and fully avoiding both attacks. She hovered in the air for a brief moment as she waved her beam saber in an arc, lightning beginning to trail after it. She then pointed it down towards her two enemies, sending several blue bolts towards them. She fell from the sky after firing, taking out a second saber and slashing down at them as a follow-up. One saber slased at Franz, and the other slashed at Sael.

Mt. Yama West Side ~ 6:19 PM
The black samurai-esque creature blocked Kageru's veritcal strike by holding his beam saber horizonally, blocking the strike jove above his head. He then filled the saber with the same blue lightning he had used as a projectile one minute ago.

Mt. Yama ~ West Side - 6:19 PM
Fortunately before the lightning could take a hold of his kodachi, the force of the strike repelled him hard enough to maneuver to the side and attempted to slash the creature's ribcage.
