Unbeknownst to Hilda, there was another voice in the room... no, that isn't quite right. It was more like a voice inside his head. Actually, that doesn't do it the sort of justice I need either. It was as though the heart of Kyril was speaking, inside his head. Well, the literal heart, anyways.
"Gurren... why do you still ignore me?" The entity, the sentient mind of the eternity crystal tried to get Raiga's attention once more. It had been trying to get his attention for the entire day after he had spoken with Yuro, and even all throughout the night. And for years before that, as well. All the being wished for was to talk.

Grand Divide City The House of William Green ~ 6:54 PM
Amura averted her eyes from the small android. There was a sense of shame witghin her heart. Part of her felt guilty for that kiss she forced upon her. The succubus forcefully pushed this out of her mind with more thoughts of kittens. She looked back at Peppermint.
"...when I was little?"
Amura tried to think of games she played as a child, but only remembered the feeling of delicate arms and hands on her body and the scent of sweat and intercourse. She did not smile when going through her memories. In fact, she seemed to be frowning. There were no "games" from her childhood that would interest Peppermint.
"I'm sorry, Peppermint. My childhood was...not quite so innocent. I didn't really get an opportunity to play games that would be fun for you." The succubus's expression saddened. "...I suppose I didn't really enjoy them either. At least not back then." She quietly sighed and moved towards a window, looking at the view outside. Her mind wandered back to her time with the Grimlocke Corps. and seemed to compleely forget the small android was still in te room.
"...I miss that."

Peppermint looked at Amura with a look of saddened shock. "You... didn't play fun games when you were little? But games are supposed to be fun. If it isn't fun, then how can it be a game?" Peppermint slowly approached Amura. "Amu... What kind of awful things did people make you do, and then call them "games"?"

The masked man rolled his head as he heard the child-like voice again. He detested the naivete of the Eternity Crystal. In the end though, he gave in to his other source of nuisance.
"What is it? I am in an uncharacteristically good mood."

Amura absentmindedly placed a finger on her collarbone, bringing it down between her breasts, down her stomach, and stopping at her pelvis. "...Games." She looked towards Peppermint, turning away from the window. "They were fun for my body. But not my heart." Her expression retuned to its usual calm look.
"I suppose that's what happens when you're born a succubus. Everyone expects a certain something of you."
New section of Amura's history unlocked.

The frown upon Peppermint's face deepened and deepened until it was clear that had she had any tears they would have streamed down her face. "Oh Amu!" Peppermint threw herself at Amura and hugged the poor succubus. "Amu! That's just so unfair! Why would they be so mean to you? How could anyone hurt you like that?" Peppermint sobbed into the demon's shoulder, hugging her tightly. "Peppermint promises to never be mean to you like that. Never ever! You're my super special friend, and friends don't hurt friends. I'll never make you play games you don't like, I promise!" Peppermint continued to hold onto the demon, hailing over Amura's horrid revelation.

It took a few moments for Amura to return the android's embrace. She gently rubbed the back of her head, a smile growing on her face. "I know you'd never treat me like that, Peppermint." Her smile briefly turned into a frown. "No matter how much I'd want you to..."
"That's actually one of the reasons I joined the Corps. in the first place... Just because I'm a succubus doesn't mean I'm completely obsessed with sex and don't care about anything else. But it's so difficult to not do exactly that because of how early i started doing it. It seems like muscle reflex now...also doesn't help I need the energy from it to live." Amura laughed quietly as she finished.

"I just wanted to talk, Gurren... there's no reason you need to take that tone with me." The crystal's voice rang in Raiga's head, and the being's tone was none too happy; it was more like it was dejected. However, to Raiga, it would be simply dealing with more children; that was the way the eternity crystal's voice sounded after all... child-like.
"I have no eyes, no ears in this world... that boy got such a small fragment of my being that I don't know if I'll ever be able to communicate with him properly." A hint of desperation was let through, but it was something more than that. What that something was though, was hard to say.

"What of Alex? I thought the two of you were as thick as thieves," questioned the masked man. "Why have your attempts to converse with me intensified so greatly? Unless..." A terrible thought flashed across his mind, a thought he couldn't hide from the crystal. "...Is Alex dead?"
Grand Divide City ~ The House of William Green - 6:54 AM
As Peppermint wailed into Amura's shoulder, Winter finally stepped out of the room, unable to sleep a wink. He was wearing his camouflaged parachute pants and black tanktop. Peppermint looked at Winter, and then hung her head in shame. "I'm sorry, Winter. I know you said you wanted to sleep more..."
"It's alright. I doubt I could have slept if I wanted to anyway."
"Winter... Amu-"
"I know. I heard, and I knew."
"You... You did?"
"Yes. From Grimlocke. Peppermint, can I ask you a favor?"
"Y-yes?"
"Please make some breakfast for the both of us. I need to talk to Amura."
"O-okay... Sure!" With that Peppermint got up and disappeared in the direction of the kitchen, and no sooner had she done so, Winter sat in a recliner across from Amura.
"...Amura, I know you kissed Peppermint. I observed it. I know why you did. I don't hold that part of you against you. That being said, we both know that Peppermint can't give you what you need. Even being an android, she is a powerful, motivating friend, but she is still an android. You can get her to please you all you want, but you can't survive off of her." Winter then leaned forward, planting his elbows on his knees. "Amura, this most recent incident has left me particularly concerned. I must ask you to better restrain yourself around Peppermint."

Amura was quite surprised to see Winter up so soon. However, as soon as he asked Peppermint to go make some breakfast she knew that he knew about her little kiss. She listened to him intently as he spoke to her, slowly nodding and closing her eyes when he finished.
"I know...Peppermint can't satisfy me like that. Sometimes I forget that though. She's so human-like after all...personality-wise I meant." The succubus wrapped her arms around herself and looked down towards the ground, ashamed with what she was about to say. "It's been a while though... It's been a while since I've had some of the energy I need. Sure, food is nice and all, but as you know, it's not something that can keep me alive. I think I'll probably head out later and go do what I need to do with some random person...unless..." Amura's red eyes shifted towards Winter, the look within them finishing her sentence for her.
This sultry look suddenly vanished though. She had just remembered something else Winter had said. "However, I need to ask you something now. When did Grimlocke tell you? Why did he tell you? It's not exactly something I'm comfortable with other people knowing." There was a hint of anger in the succubus' voice, which was quite uncommon for her.

Winter let out a brief sigh as she questioned him on his knowledge.
"It was about forty years ago, back when I was still a shade of green. That was back when you had fun flirting with me because I was still "the new guy." Grimlocke told me so that I understood a little more about you. So I wasn't so cold to you." Winter looked down at the floor, thinking back to all the years he had spent in the Grimlocke Corps. The friends he made, the jobs he did, how much it had changed him.
"...Amura," he finally spoke. "I don't want Peppermint to lose her innocence. You know how much she means to me, and how much I cherish her. At the same time, I don't want you to prey on an unsuspecting citizen. Even if it sustains you, it won't do you any good. Otherwise, you wouldn't have tried to seduce Peppermint." With that, Winter stood up, and sat beside his dear comrade. "You're looking for more than just a fling. You're looking for a memory you can cherish. Even if Peppermint couldn't nourish you, at least an act with her would mean something to you, correct? If so, then I will try to give you such a moment. However, I want you to understand something. I'm not doing this because I love you more than I love Peppermint. I'm doing this because you are my friend, and I know that you need this, both physically and psychologically."

The silver-haired demon looked back towards the floor, her shame returning as she realized what she almost did with Peppermint. She knew that Winter loved her innocence, yet she went ahead and tried seducing her anyways. The realization of this made her feel as if a nail was just hammered into her heart. The succubus was so plagued with sudden guilt that the vibration from Winter sitting next to her startled her, making her quickly look at him with deer-in-a-headlight eyes.
Her brain took a few moments to process what her friend had just said and a look of genuine surprise came over her. "...This is weird. You've always denied me in the past, whether I was serious or joking. On top of that, I always viewed yours and dear Peppermint's relationship as something akin to a father and daughter. In that regard, even if you did love me it would be in a different way. Not that I love you like that at all. No offense, Winter."
Amura's expression softened as she continued looking at him. "But you may be right...maybe what I'm looking for is something meaningful. With someone that actually does love me...if that's the case though, then I won't really be satisfied with you. I suppose if I had figured this out myself a little while ago, I wouldn't have tried to seduce Peppermint. However, I will take you up on the nourishment part." Her beautiful face moved closer to Winter's, stopping at a mere gap of two inches an whispering one final thing. "All I need is some sort of fluid exchange to start feeding. Saliva will be fine for this. Plus, I honestly don't think Peppermint would react well to us having sex."
Amura then placed her right hand on Winter's cheek and pressed her lips to his.

"Alex is dead." The crystal spoke quickly and sharply, "And he did not let me see much of the world... while he was more talkative than you, he spoke to me directly, coming straight to center of Kyril to do so. He blocked me from seeing through his eyes somehow... I've been blind for longer than I care to recall."
The crystal paused for a moment, in a strangely audible way, even though it was speaking straight into Raiga's mind, ".... No others are left. I don't want to ... I don't like being locked out from the world. You can understand this, right? I need eyes in the world."

Raiga froze as the Eternity Crystal confirmed the masked man's fear. It was... so hard to believe for him. Alexander Grimlocke, like Raiga, was one of the exceedingly few people left from before Kyril ascended all those eons ago. While it had been a long time since he and Grimlocke had seen eye-to-eye on many things, he still held a good deal of respect for his old, old friend.
"Raiga? What's the matter?" Hilda had watched as Raiga stood still in shock. Refocused, he resumed cooking.
"It is nothing," he told the ave. "...Alex is dead." After a few moments, he returned his attention to the artificial god that spoke to him. "So, why are you asking me? You know I cannot provide you the eyes you want. I sacrificed my sight in penance for my crimes when I left Devoid all those eons ago. Even without this mask, my eyes are blind and useless from millennia of disuse. You know this. Why then are you seeking such service in me? If you are offering me the chance to see again, then I refuse. I threw my eyes away. I have no desire to have them back."

Winter kissed her back, lightly sucking on her lips. "Hhhmm... That is entirely up to you, Amura. Knowing Peppermint, she'll likely amuse herself with the waffle iron for a good while. On top of that, you said it yourself that it has been a long time since you last fed. And knowing your track record of longterm relationships, I have the feeling that a little spit won't be enough to hold you over. I won't be offended if you decline my offer, though I want you to know that as your friend, I do care. I know I often seem objective and cold, but I do care. And I promise that should you accept, I will not treat you with any less respect and concern than you deserve, as a senior operative above me, as a friend in need, and as a woman."

Amura pulled back from Winter as she thought about what he said. Her eyes moved away from him, yet her arms remained wrapped around his neck. Despite all the times she's flirted with this man she had never truly actually envisioned in her mind how it would be to actually sleep with him. Mainly because she had assumed he would always say no unless he, somehow, was ridiculously drunk or high on something. Basically, she never thought this situation had the slightest chance of actually happening. Therefore, she felt rather unsure about this. She wasn't sure how to act towards him during this time. Usually when she did this with other people she was able to make herself look and talk like her partner desired. But Winter...he knew her. He knew how she looked. He knew how she acted. He actually knew her name and that she was a succubus. This was the first time she was going to do this with someone she actually knew.
Amura laughed quietly, still unsure if this situation was even real. Some part of her mind expected for this all to fade away and to find herself sleeping next to some random person she seduced. She was tempted on speaking her mind about this, but decided it wasn't the time.
"...Thank you." This was all the gorgeous succubus said as she kissed Winter again, this time moving herself onto his lap. Her black cloak came to life in response to this and quickly wrapped itself around the two, encasing them within a black cocoon of magical energy.

It had been the first time he had ever been inside Amura's cloak. It was dark, warm, and had a distinct scent. He closed his eyes, relaxed, and awaited the hands of his comrade to undress him. When his shirt was off, he wrapped his arms around her, assuring her, encouraging her. He gently felt her every curve, rubbed her back and caressed her neck and face. He felt her welcome him and her arms embrace him, and he rubbed her back and her thigh as they lightly collided. It was hard to tell how much time had passed, but it was clear how important she was to him. He tried his hardest to give her a taste of what she really wanted. An act with someone close to her, a memory with someone who cared for her. He demonstrated to her as much love as close friend could, not out of his own lust, but because she needed it, truly and utterly.
