Name: Himura Kenshin Nickname: Hitokiri Battousai (Battousai the Manslayer) Age: 28 Gender: Male Race: Human Source: Rurouni Kenshin (Post Samurai-X) Appearance: Personality: The soft-spoken, humble and gentle young man is easily regarded to most as a pushover to everyone he meets, Kenshin doesn't seek a good fight, and most of the time he'd rather prefer a hot tea rather than a clash of swords. In addition, the rurouni has a propensity to put everyone else before himself, and won't hesitate to save his loved ones and allies from danger. Although his clueless, kind and serene personality usually win him over with everyone he meets, his enemies often confuse his gentle nature with meekness. Those who meet the man once known as the "Hitokiri Battousai", or Battousai the Manslayer, in battle, usually know the truth. Kenshin fights with a calculated efficiency that almost somehow almost seems like recklessness with his propensity to take risks few others would take. This is in some part, aided by his tragic past, shrouded in mystery to all but Kenshin and a select few. Due to this, Kenshin has both an appreciation and understanding of life that surpasses most people. It is this understanding that led to his vow never to take another human life again, which is symbolized in his trademark reverse-blade sword. When heavily provoked, Kenshin can revert to his Hitokiri form. As a killer, his normally gentle violet eyes revert into cold yellow eyes staring into an enemy like vicious dagger points, and his personality turns cold and distant. It is in this state of mentality that Kenshin truly begins to consider killing his hated enemies with all of his abilities. Although he fears one day permanently turning back into the Battousai, Kenshin realizes that by trusting and relying on his friends and allies, he can hopefully prevent such a thing from occuring... Stats: Strength: B- Magic/Energy: E Speed: A Defense: C- Combat Skill: B/A+ (Rurouni/Hitokiri) Abilities: Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu: The trademark sword style that Kenshin has inherited, Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu emphasizes near impossible levels of agility and speed to overwhelm the opponent completely. The style also emphasizes battojutsu, or quickdraw, the act of quickly drawing and sheathing the blade forward, and acute mental observations able to consider every facet of the battlefield. While Kenshin is not the most durable of fighters, his vision of the entire field during the battle enables him to notice incoming attacks, and use his impressive speed to dodge impending threats. -Doryusen (Earth Dragon Strike): One of Kenshin's more basic attacks, Doryusen merely strikes the ground with Kenshin's blade, sending a shockwave of rocks and debris up to strike the enemy. While this is never fatal, the attack is useful for opening up a gap in the opponents defences. -Ryutsuisen(Dragon Hammer Strike): One of Kenshin's signature attacks, using his speed and athletic ability, Kenshin leaps up extremely high in the air above a foe with lightning fast speed. Dropping down as quickly as he came up, Kenshin uses the momentum from his drop down to launch a devastating slash or swing at the unsuspecting opponent. -Ryukansen(Dragon Spiral Strike): A useful counter to charging foes, Kenshin can smoothly evade a straightforward charge with a quick side step, followed by a pivot to get to the opponents back side. Moving forward with his blade, Kenshin completes the movement with a full spin to add momentum to his slash, which can then be aimed at the opponents back or neck. -Soryusen(Twin Dragon Spark): Kenshin's most basic battojutsu technique, the rurouni places a hand on his sheathed blade in a traditional quick draw stance. Although it seems like a traditional attack, any foe that manages to avoid or guard the first initial slash will have to deal with an unexpected thrust with his sword sheath, which can devastate an opponent that is hit by potentially breaking their ribs. Zantetsu: In Kenshin's time, the most skilled swordsman were said to be able to cut through pure iron and steel. Although Kenshin used to be able to easily slice through these metals, his years of not practicing, combined with his reverse-blade sword, has rendered him unable to cut through metal as he once could. However, with his reverse-blade sword turned the other direction, Kenshin can slice through weaker metals with ease against opposing swordsman unsuspecting of the rurouni's skill. Story: Formally known as a "Manslayer", a key event in Kenshin's life ironically gave the rurouni an appreciation for life that culminated into his greatest vow: that the Manslayer would never again take a single life. To that purpose, his blade is a reverse-blade sword, a sword with the blade turned the opposite direction to effectively make the sword blunt. Going through a wild amalgam of experiences and trials have made the former manslayer wary of any future battles, settling down in search of peace... but fate has other plans in store for the great samurai. Name: Subject A Age: 6 years, 10 months since creation... roughly. I might have missed something. Gender: Female Race: Subject is cloned from a female vampire I know personally, and in fused with demonic blood. Strange mutations occurred that I didn't forsee. At the core, she's some sort of amalgam. Height: 5’11 Weight: 139 lbs. Likes: Quiet places. Dislikes: A appears to react negatively to most forms of testing, no matter how gentle I am. This seems to be more related to her arm, rather than how she actually feels. Rank: Subject displays Master level ability in terms of physical strengths, but hardly ever utilizes it under her own will. Hopefully this will remain the case. Alignment: No Alignment as of yet Class: Science Experiment Distinctive Traits: Demonic left arm which exhibits flawless regeneration and shapeshifting abilities, and I am still confused as to why it formed that way. Perhaps it was tampering from someone else in the research sector... One eye is red, and the other turned yellow. Appearance (P.S disregard sad Kross stuff, i need to redraw her now) Personality: Subject A has developed a personality since creation, which surprised me greatly... and wasn't something I had wished for. Forming any sort of attachment for her would be a great hinderance for me, but... she grasped speech quickly, and is so soft spoken that she doesn't even vaguely remind me of the girl I cloned her from. History: Ah, what a strange event it was that led to her creation. Was it the fact that I was lonely, or that I really did want to achieve something great? I found a strand of hair in the old diary.... And with Artura's technology and resources, I knew what I could do. I remade that girl for one purpose, and though I felt like it was a noble cause on one hand, I felt that nothing could ever redeem me of it... no, if this paid off, I would need to do no more testing. But nothing ever paid off. I'm beginning to question whether or not this is actually a disease at all. It was foolish, honestly, thinking I needed a second opinion when testing on myself proved pointless. It seems... ingrained into the being of every vampire, as though every trace of their biological humanity has been wiped out, and built back up as something else. Even stranger still, transmutative magic seems ineffective... I'm at a loss. The point is, this experiment was... just as much of a dead end as Hate was. At least it didn't end up tearing apart a country. That's always a good thing. ... I don't know why I even bothered, I already got a little sentimental for the girl. I taught her how to speak, hell, she's nice company while I'm working, even if all she does is stare at the floor quietly. I honestly wonder if she's questioning her existence, and silently cursing my name with her every waking breath. I wouldn't be surprised. I really don't know.... Attributes: 25 Might - 10 Swiftness - 9 Will - 0 Endurance - 6 Weapon: Devil Arm(?) – The shapeshifting arm wthat as grafted to Subject A’s shoulder is truly unique. It can create, and consume organic material, and its rate of healing and durability seem to far exceed the subject’s normal body. It has no bones naturally, but it seems to be able to somehow form them. Once, A tore her own arm off in desperation, only for the arm to reattach itself by force. Rank: B Attacks -Organic Gatling: I swear, that mutated arm f hers has a mind of its own... during one of her little episodes, it formed a gatling gun, not dissimilar to -Organic Blade: Observed when the arm got defensive with me and pumped adrenaline into A's circulatory system, the arm formed a massive blade, and A tried to gut me. -Organic Tentacles: The arm transformed into this on another occasion to attack. Strategy: Subject A refused adamantly when I suggested she undergo private combat tests. I haven't brought it up since, and haven't attempted to force her to undergo them. However, when in danger, her arm pumps her with adrenaline, making her irritable, and almost forcing her to defend herself. Weakness: Zero combat training, and refusal to undergo combat... however, that blasted arm of hers like to pump her adrenaline up to dangerous level at seemingly random times. I've gotten complaints about the noise in my lab on several occasions because of this. Relations to other characters: Altair - +? ? ? Theme Song: When the Grief Lets you Go

Name: Lili Leerhart Age: 12…? Gender: Female Race: Revenant/Lamia Height: Indeterminate Weight: ? ? ? Likes: Small cute animals, sweets, junk food, Aire, Altair Dislikes: Mosharu Rank: Adept Alignment: Neutral Good Class: Grappler Distinctive Traits: -Snake-like body; Lili constantly fools around with it to figure out how it works -Rather large appetite Appearance Personality: Lili has a childish persona, and as one could expect, one of a young girl. As she has no idea what happened to herself over 300 years ago, she absolutely adores Aire, and has one of those very rare good mutual relationships between a younger and older sister with her. In the past, any arguments they had had were superficial, and Lili often accompanied her older sister on errands when her parents were out. History: There’s not much to say that hasn’t been said about Lili, Aire’s younger sister. She was born seven years after Aire, who is physically nineteen, making Lili roughly twelve. Like already mentioned, Lili and Aire had a more rare good relationship between each other, and Aire absolutely adored her. It came as no small shock that Aire’s personality drastically changed after she slaughtered her own family out of pure bloodlust… Lili, having been dead for hundreds of years, has no recollection of actually being killed, and as such, her relationship to her sister seems mostly unchanged. Attributes: 16 Might - 8 Swiftness - 5 Will - 0 Endurance – 3 Weapon: Snake Body – Lili’s large, snake-like body is pretty much her best offense and defense. Being made of tightly corded muscles and bones, and covered by thick scales on top, it provides a useful way of moving, attacking, and defending. Rank: B+ Attacks -Violent Constrictor: A signature of boas, anacondas, and pythons in real life, this is an attack that binds and crushes the opponent. Like most of Lili’s skills, this raises her stats for the duration of the skill. Each post that the opponent is caught by the young girl’s snake body, the strength with which she crushes the opponent is raised by 1.5 times. Currently, the first turn is 8, the second turn is 12, the third is 18, and so forth. Opponents that do not escape quickly will find every bone in their body broken, and the air crushed from their lungs. Lili’s low pain endurance, however, makes this (hopefully) easy to escape from before serious damage is done. As this ability is highly likely to break a character’s arms, it can lower their Might stat for the rest of the battle by a fourth for each arm broken, and another fourth for each leg. -Innocent Venom Fang: Like a snake, Lili gained small, poisonous fangs in her mouth. The venom can be delivered through a striking bite, or during Violent Constrictor for severe overkill. The venom is of a paralytic sort, the kind which certain types of normal snakes use to immobilize their prey. The enemy will find their speed stat drop by 1 each turn until it hits 0, at which point the enemy will freeze up, and fall to the ground like a limp rag doll; Speed functions as resistance to the venom. Currently, Alen is the most resistant. -Acid Spit: This should be obvious. Pretty nasty stuff, and can ruin a person’s eyes permanently without medical treatment. It is fairly short range, and can eat away at both skin and metal. It drops the Endurance stat for a single point for the rest of the battle whenever it hits. It should be obvious that Lili is themed around debuffs by now. Abilities: -Coiled Strike: Requiring a turn of preparation, Lili can strike with twice her current speed by coiling up, and striking… you know, like snakes do. It is blindly fast, and usually straight forwards, though she can curve her path to strike from either of the opponent’s sides. Strategy: Despite her lethal debuff themed abilities, Lili is a gentle and hesitant girl; she’s never the one to start a fight, and Aire would prefer she didn’t period. Hurt her sister, though, and you bring yourself and your AP into extreme danger. Weakness: Somewhat slow, and there’s a lot of her to hit with that snake body of hers… Relations to other characters: Aire lvl 10 Theme Song: HeavenBattle Theme: Weak Executioner ~ Leave My Big Sister Alone.... please?

Name: Lucii Ferris Age: 18 Gender: Female Race: Fire Elemental, formerly human Height: 5’7 Weight: Cup Size: B Likes: Fire, heat, deserts, ice cream, tacos, hot sauce, burgers, burning down Xipe Totec’s buildings, playing guitar.. Dislikes: Xipe Totec jackasses, other people who aren’t named Lucii burning shit down Rank: Master Alignment: Chaotic Good Class: Fire Witch Distinctive Traits: Setting herself on fire just to shock people Appearance: PersonalityLucii could be said to be a party girl. This would be an accurate statement, if it were not a gross understatement. The girl would rather perform on stage while drinking a beer and belching out fire than just talk. She’s wild, unusually happy, and, if you hate Xipe as much as she does, your new best friend. History Lucii has had, how do you say ….. a rather bad childhood. She grew up as a normal human girl in the southern part of Jardin del Vicio. For clarification, the southern part is where a bunch of supernatural creeps live. As such, she and her father were constantly harassed by these bastards, not to mention the ever present Xipe Totec. Her father was neither brilliant, nor that smart, but the man cared after her the best any father in del Vicio could care after their kid, scrounging for food, and kissing anyone’s ass if they were willing to pay… even if they were only paying in food. Eventually, like so many people before them, her father fell prey to the city. A bunch of thugs, under the pretense of Lucii’s father wronging them, busted into their house. Her father only told her to get away while she still could, hefting up a two by four. There was nowhere to run however, so she simply hid herself the best she could. She heard every bit of of her father’s beating, and every laugh of the men who did it. She did exactly as her father said however; without even looking back at his beaten body, she ran away, hiding inside an old metalworks factory, huddling within an ashen furnace. For several days, she did nothing but cry; she had no way to fend for herself, no family, and nothing further than a deathwish. She was starving to death, no food, those thugs constantly searching for her, and certainly no food. One day, she thought she had found it; a way to die. It came in the form of a rather jagged red crystal she found under the ash and soot of the furnace. Thoughtlessly, she swallowed the crystal…. And her body burned. It was like dying. Over. And over. And over and over again, constantly on fire, pain beyond human thought. Her mind broke after an hour. It felt as if her insides were being shredded and roasted by the crystal…. And somehow, by some chance, it eventually lessened. And she … felt better than ever. Her body felt warm, but not like before. It was comforting… it was… fire? Someone, one of the thugs perhaps, had fired up the furnace with her inside. But, somehow… it felt good. It felt natural. The white hot flames that could have melted steel did nothing to her. She burned her way out of the furnace, and tortured the thugs… they were the same thugs that had beaten her father to death, and they had been looking to do the same to her. Lucii stepped out of the building as it burned to the ground in an inferno that consumed even the metal constructing the building… Lucii had been reborn that day. Something inside of her heart ignited as her humanity burned away… The flame girl became known as the Fire Dancer of Jardin del Vicio… she put on performances in the streets for people, magnificent dances fueled by the flames of her existence. Xipe Totec could never catch her; anytime they would chase her, another of their buildings would burn to the ground, in fires so hot that the water boiled out of their sprinkler systems. In the end, another renegade had been created to rampage in the streets…. Another thorn in Xipe’s side. It was their own fault, after all. But perhaps… their goal was such a thing? No one knew, as Lucii continued her free existence, helping the people out whenever she could, with a fiery gusto that no man could match. Attributes: 24 Might - 4 Swiftness - 8 Will - 10 Endurance - 2 Weapon: Burning Bangles– The rings on her wrist, for some reason , have been infused with so much fire energy that they’ve come to generate it at Lucii’s back and command, are are one of the parts of her performances. They can be used like flamethrowers that Lucii can swing around and aim at will. Since there are two of them, she can use them at will to amplify her fire powers. Essentially, they make large tongues of flame that Lucii can swing to burn things. Rank: B+ Subweapon: Inferno, Diablo, Ifrit, Hell Yeah, Awesome!- The guitar that Lucii infused with her flaming passion of love and justice! This guitar has seen battle, performances, blood, cookin like pro, and awesome shredding. By playing a chord, Lucii can summon fire beneath the feet of enemies, and even make sweet pyrotechnics. Damn thing can’t take a hit though. Lucii can easily fix it outside of battle, though. Rank: C Armor: Heat Aura – In battle, Lucii creates an oppressive heat force around herself that can burn opponents naturally. It’s a natural ability that comes with the territory and only activates after the opponent has been exposed a very long time, sapping their strength. In short, doesn’t become an issue unless a fight goes on for way too goddamn long. Rank: E (its not really armor....) Attacks - Phoenix Punch: Not Falcon Punch. Phoenix Punch. Its a big punch that uses her Will plus her Strength as the attack strength. Do not underestimate or you will hurt. Lucii loves calling this one out like the giant ham she is. - Face Melter: Lucii starts shredding away on her guitar, creating a flaming aura around herself. Shortly, the guitar’s strings start sparking, and a wave of fire emanating out from her as she finishes her solo with a powerful chord. This attack with burn anyone caught in it to the bone, but its fairly ease to avoid in large spaces for those who are quick to catch on. Physical attacks cannot knock her out of this attack; only magic can. Anything physical can in her flaming aura will be burned away Abilities- Fire Dancer of Jardin del Vicio: Lucii has the ability to control fire. Self explanatory. She can swirl it around herself, shoot basic fireballs, breathe fire, etc. She can also use it to fly short distances. Hell, her bodily fluids are as scaldingly hot as her fire is. Her rate of healing is generally proportional to the heat in the area, and in the middle of a building fire, she's pretty much already won. Strategy: Burning things is a strategy. It seems to work. Weakness: She has to cool down sometimes after using up too much energy, and extreme amounts of cold and ice can revert her back to a normal human temporarily. Turning back is a bitch. Relations to other characters: N/A so far Theme Song: Final Revenge ~ Extend AshBattle Theme: Parental Advisory, Explicit Guitar

Name: Miriam Darksoul Age: 16 Gender: Female Race: Succubus (Subset of Demon) Height: 5’6 Weight: 123 lbs. Cup Size: C Likes: Men, video games, pizza, loose/baggy clothes, cooking Dislikes: Flamboyantly gay men, cleaning, school Rank: Adept+ Class: Reaper Distinctive Traits: latching onto men she meets for the first time, playing with her own powers from time to time out of boredom, fixing her glasses. AppearancePersonality: Miriam is a rather casual individual; she tends to make a point of being nice, and as a succubus, flirting with pretty much any man she can, if just jokingly. Miriam normally likes to let people decide their own business for themselves, and will tell them so if they ask her for an opinion. Despite her friendly demeanor, getting her to actually trust someone is incredibly hard; she is very distru****l of anyone who is not Eleris and Cael. Most people don’t seem to realize how deep this distrust runs. History: Attributes: 16 Might - 4 Swiftness - 5 Will - 4 Endurance - 3 Weapon: Matriarch ScytheA massive scythe that Miriam can materialize and dematerialize at will. She has never talked about its origin. If somehow broken, the scythe will eventually regenerate itself. Rank: B+ Subweapon: Violet EnergyThe strange energy that seems attached to Miriam's body, and forms various lower body garments, like skirts of various size, pants, etc. Seems to erratically grow and shrink in size according to Miriam's will. This energy is a secondary and very useful form of attack and defense. This energy is incredibly versatile, and can form everything from clawed arms to tentacles to giant spikes. If seperated from her body, it reveals that she's actually wearing... Rank: B Attacks- Matriarch’s Wrath – A simple projectile attack fired by swinging the scythe in a full crescent. This projectile takes the form of a large, curved shockwave. This energy crescent is a powerful projectile, as it can not only cover a large vertical, diagonal, or horizontal range, but it will cut into the target and explode on impact. It can only be used every other post. - Gaze’s Scorn – Miriam jams the tail end of the scythe into the ground, and summons up a column of dark energy underneath the opponent. This takes the form of the ground breaking beneath the opponent’s feet, then erupting, blowing them into the air. Can only be used every three posts. - Succubi’s Pleasure – The special use of Miriam’s violet energy. A large portion of energy is sent into the ground, and burrows underneath the opponent. At that point, tendrils spring up, surrounding and potentially ensnaring the opponent. If ensnared, the enemy loses power at a staggering rate; one AP out of each stat for every post any character takes an action. The name is derived for the fact that Miriam has full leave to do anything she wants with the opponent during this time... The technique temporarily leaves Miriam without her secondary defense during its duration, and the energy from the attack must be withdrawn to use the attack again. Abilities: Strategy: Miriam is a powerful fighter for her comparatively low AP score, due mainly to her powerful weapon and inherent sub weapon. Taking just one of these away will get her in trouble. Weakness: Lack of non weapon based abilities. Relations to other characters: Eleris level 4 Theme Song: Beautiful Riverside ViewBattle Theme: Scythe of Hell

Name: Eleris Wallen Age: 16 Gender: Female Race: Enhanced Human Height: 5'6 Weight: 136 lbs. (mostly from muscle) Likes: Pizza, headphones, her friends Dislikes: Not many, actually.... she's pretty easy going. Rank: Master Alignment: Neutral Good Class: Pugilist AppearancePersonalityEleris is an incredibly laid back girl, and often what many would say is "out of it". She often doesn't pay attention to people, and keeps her headphones in. Most of the time she's borderline halfway asleep, and sometimes she's completely dozed off. Despite the fact that she looks like a very energetic person, most of her movements outside of a fight seem to be slowed down to most people, as Eleris believes in taking her time... regardless of how much it inconveniences others. However, Eleris is also very kind. She will often help people out without being asked, or saying a word if she's sure the person needs help. Eleris tends to see situations others see as dire as minor, and will often set them right if it is at all within her ability to do so. Attributes: 24 Might - 14 Swiftness - 6 Will - 1 Endurance - 3 Weapon: N/A Rank: Subweapon: Handgun A standard issue handgun. Eleris' mother forced her to take it with her. Is pretty much a highly accurate ranged weapon that can blow through flesh quite easily. Eleris is decent with it, but there's nothing truly special about it. Rank: C Armor: N/A Attacks: - Iron Grapple: Eleris's giant strength means her grip is pretty much... well, unbreakable if you're not as strong as her. If Eleris grabs hold of an opponent with a lower strength score, she can pretty much do whatever she pleases until she throws the opponent away.... or breaks them to pieces. Among the absolutely closest ranged techniques. - Sonic Punch: A punch fueled by raw strength. Eleris kicks off from the ground with ALL of her considerable strength, fist first. With such strength, Eleris flies at the opponent at over sixty miles per hour. If said punch actually connects, much pain, hurt, and some broken bones shall result. Eleris make as many passes as she likes with this attack, possibly catching the opponent from behind if they dodge the first punch. Abilities: - Giant Strength: The amount of strength at this level of physical ability is what most would describe as superhuman. At this level of strength, Eleris is capable of ripping smaller trees, and large boulders out of the ground, and using virtually any part of the environment as a weapon. Eleris is quite capable of tearing buildings down with her bare hands, and flipping vehicles the size of SUVs over. Strategy: Eleris is an intelligent hand to hand fighter, and won't hesitate to pull out her hand gun if she can't get near her opponent. In close quarters, she is a lethal force that can one shot anyone with sub par, or hell, average endurance. Weakness: Long range combat. Durr. Relations to other character: Darien lvl 2 - A young man from the country Eleris met while travelling. She not only saved him, but helped him out with his sister. Claire lvl 1 - Darien's sister; while sometimes unfriendly and sarcastic, Eleris at least gets along with her better than Cael... Seline - Eleris's feeling about her mother are wholly unclear at this point.... History: Sixteen years ago, Seline Wallen, the current director and president of Artura was in her early thirties. Under unknown circumstances, she bore a daughter. And like that, the president of Artura began to rely heavily on the council of Artura to run things for her. This job that she merely found taxing was nearly impossible for the council, who normally only discussed advancements and idea, deciding what to do, and what not to do. About during this time, it came to happen... when Eleris Wallen was two years old, it came to light she had a weak heart.... Seline became distressed, and panicked. Immediately she ordered that virtually all of Artura's resources be put into curing this genetic disorder, and making her daughter healthy. The council of Artura, however, had other idea. After two years of being forced to do a job they had not originally been assigned to, they shut out Seline out of spite, and as punishment for not following protocol. Her daughter's life slowly sapped away due to the rigid and inflexible judgement of the council, and she was literally powerless for the first time in her life. A council member by the name of Renam Terrafim convinced the council, however, to help Eleris... for a steep cost. Both Seline and Eleris would be used for tests and experimentation by the R&D department. The cover was almost flawless as well; the pretense was that Seline was doing it voluntarily to further Artura's science. Eleris was given little pretense... she was sick, and needed treatment... so her heart was replaced with an artificial heart. It was special, as it used a special variety of robots called nanites to control it. These microscopic robots not only maintained the heart, but rebuilt and enlarged it as Eleris got older. This treatment lasted three years, as scientists studied her when she was young; she never saw her mother during this time. When she was five, the scientists of Artura began to experiment on her to increase her physical abilities... her artificial heart made her perfect for the experiments ironically. It could not go into cardiac arrest due to the nanites, and the chance for problems with it was virtually non existent. Various experiments with unknown chemical compounds were carried out on Eleris' body, and had a noticable effect... she was stronger than most adults already at five. It was after this that Eleris was finally allowed to see her mother again... and immediately disliked her. Seline told her that she had given her to the scientists to make her better, and that she would need to keep doing so... and something was odd about her mother as well. Large portions of her body were now metal... Eleris did not remember this woman. She was too cheerful after what had been done. The experiments still continued for years, sporadically, and Eleris endured them to grow even stronger. This time, magic enhancements were applied by the scientist Altair. Unlike the others, Altair had a more open, less rigid personality. While he still did his job, he often ended the painful enhancement sessions early, and just talked with the girl until time was up. In this way, the scientist became good friends with Eleris. While in school, Eleris was constantly sleeping in class, and was poked and prodded by teachers and students to wake up. It was hard to see, but the girl seemed constantly exhausted and half there.... she was given no chance to sleep, after all. It got to a point where two kids began to defend her, take notes for her, and help her with her homework. Cael Zealan, and Miriam Darksoul, two other children in her class, became her friends in school, sticking by her side until she was fourteen... Eleris was deemed a success by the group of scientists, and the Arturan council. Her strength far surpassed any normal human, and most half humans as well. She was incredibly fit for her age as well, even without the experiments done on her body. As such... and after her childhood was all but robbed and ruined, she was allowed to do as she please. Eleris had no wish to speak to her mother beyond simply requests and short conversations. Her disdain for the woman was clear; as far as she knew, she was experimenting on herself to make herself better than human, to make herself look younger... and she hardly looked like someone a young woman would call mother. In fact, when Eleris finally left Artura, you could say that her mother was more like a clingy big sister, and this fact confused the girl... so much that she couldn't truly accept that she was her mother anymore. Eleris has been away from home for two whole years. The only thing that has seemed to change is the fact that hardly any part of her mother is human any longer.... Name: Altair Irillis Age: Well over 1000; His speculated birthdate was well into ancient times, as he created the origin of his own race. Gender: Male Race: Vampire Height: 6’1 Weight: 166 lbs. Likes: Guns, more guns, Aire, magic, science, oh and Aire. ALOT. Dislikes: A few of his own creations, those loonies called "vampire hunters". Oh, and idiots. Rank: Lordly+ Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Class: Technology and Relic Specialist Appearance: Royal purple suit. Red shirt underneath. Pale skin. Red Eyes. Pale green hair. Personality: Altair could be described as sarcastic. This would be correct. He could also be described as a bit of an ass at time, and other times, sophisticated and polite. Altair, is, infact, whatever he needs to be to fit the situation, a strategy he learned long ago to survive being a vampire, mostly undetected. This aspect of his personality has left him ultimately polite, but completely patronizing and insincere to anybody who has not earned his respect. However, on the subject of Aire, Altair finds himself more humanized by his experience so long ago with her, and despite what she thinks of him, remembers her fondly. In fact, this may be what changed him from an unfeeling statue to a more open man... Attributes: 26 Might - 6 Swiftness - 7 Will - 8 Endurance - 5 Weapon: Sawed-off ShotgunThis weapon is one of Altair's favorite weapons, despite its low reload rate and range. This weapon is essentially an extremely close quarter shotgun with enough attack force in a single shot to blow a solid chunk out of a sheet of steel. This is because it was enhanced by Artura's R&D department, and its power far belies its capabilities. Reloading is a slow process, as Altair has to do it manually, or stick it all the way into his coat pocket and pull it back out again. Reloading takes an entire post regardless of how he does it. Rank: A+ Subweapon: Phoenix Hand CannonA powerful red, metallic revolver. A very basic weapon with six shots, each of them incredibly power, and able to pierce armor with the same ease as his close range weapon. Armor: Coat of the Magus - AbsorptionWhile Altair's coat is capable of repairing itself, that's not the real defensive ability of his coat. The darkness within is capable of absorbing any physical projectile within the coat's size limit. Bullets, arrows, thrown bombs and rock, small missles, etc, are all fair game and easily absorbed by this magus's creation. Rank: C (used for a specific purpose) Attacks: - Eye of Heaven: A basic yet powerful light spell Altair mastered long ago as a magus. Altair summons a floating eye above his head, that seems to open out of thin air. Altair then directs the eye's gaze with his hand, following whoever is his target. When Altair snaps his finger, the eye fires a blinding ray of light energy for about ten straight seconds, scorching whatever it hits to ash. (2 post cool down) - Darkness of the Gaze: Altair fires out from his hand a straight, pitch-black beam of energy. While the beam does damage on its own, it also robs the enemy of their core vitality; everything that makes up their power. Every time this attack hits an opponent, all their stats are reduced by 1 AP for 2 posts. Altair can fire these beams three times before he has a cool down of 1 post. Abilities: - Coat of the MagusAltair's coat is essentially a magical storage space that he created and perfected over the course of a millenia. This coat's interior is made of darkness that swallows all that is stuck into it. At one time, it held a multitude of bladed weapons for the man to use at his leisure. Now it holds nothing but guns, of almost every space and size imaginable. Whenevr Altair forms a gun, it has its full amount of ammo. This is because what is coming out of the coat is not the actually gun, but the stored information of the weapon, formed by darkness. To reload an individual gun it must be completely withdrawn into the coat. Altair cannot materialize energy weapons from his coat. The types of weapons he can create include miniguns, assault rifles, shotguns, small arms, etc. Strategy: Hang back and blast away with his nearly limitless supply of ammunition. If in a battle where's he's sure to win, he may opt for a hand to hand approach using his vampire body to overpower weaker opponents. Weakness: He's pretty weak from behind, if he doesn't see it coming. If he does, except him to flip the coat up to fire on you. History: Long, long ago, a magus toiled in a laboratory. This man had been tasked by his king, “find the secret to immortality”. And so the magus experimented. He experimented with potions, draughts, spells, relics, enchantments. Nothing yielded the result he sought. But suddenly… he had an idea. What if he made an immortal creature, one that he could cultivate and study the secret of immortality? That man sunk his being into this research… if he could not find a way to make humans immortal directly, he would do it indirectly! This idea came to fruition even more quickly than he hoped. After all, he had the king’s blessing, and the resources of a country at his disposal! There was no way for the magus to lose. The creature he created however was a monster, hideous beyond comprehension. The man looked upon it in disappointment, and shattered its skull. As he turned his back, the broken beast mended itself, and latched onto his back. The creature drank the magus’s blood, and scurried off to hide itself after its meal of human blood. The man awoke, and his country had been engulfed by chaos. It was as if a giant bloodbath had engulfed his home land, and the populous has gone mad, and ripped each other apart.... by some miracle, he had been spared such a fate. And the moment the man saw a survivor.... he drank the man's blood. It was a singular impulse, that drove him to do so. The man was completely drained by the time the magus realized what he had done, and he ran from the scene screaming. It was several years before the man came to fully realize he had both succeeded spectacularly, and failed miserably. He was immortal, and yet the desire to drink human blood was unsightly to him. After so many years, he began to take human lives as little more than meals. He knew there was no way he could be considered human anymore... so, he decided there must be a race for what his creation had made him. Thus he was "vampire", a man that drank the blood of men. It was the several centuries preceding this origin that the man known as Altair was formed and cultivated into what he is today. He realized through trial and error that he could create more vampires... as long as he could control himself. However, as he was when he was first created, new vampires were bloodthirsty to a terrifying extreme. Altair himself found them so difficult to handle that he ended up killing them by his own hands. As amoral of a monster as he had become, simply letting a country in this day and age be destroyed by such a bloodbath was.... unacceptable, even for a monster. And so Altair wandered alone, using his considerable free time to create and experiment as he saw fit. Fast forward to several centuries before the present day. Altair became smitten with a human girl he met one night, a girl by the name of Aire Leerhart. This presented a difficulty the ancient vampire had not foreseen. Even as the two grew fond of each other over several months, Altair knew such a thing could not stand up to the test of time. So he planned to make her his forever, by making her like him.... one embrace, and one bite. That's all he needed. Her protests after this fact would be moot. After all, she cared for him as well, where could the problem lie? It was then things went horribly wrong. In a clever ploy, he bit her while she was sleeping, vacating the room as she groggily woke up. Altair vacated the room so fast Aire only had time to guess what had just happened to her. Altair stood in the behind her house, and waited. And he waited. And waited. And the screaming began, as the vampire he had created anew slaughtered everything living thing in sight. Her own family fell at her hand, and as Altair stood in the shadow of her house, a light frown crossed his face. As he had fallen in love for the first time, now was the first time he had regretted his own methods. He had no time to ponder this fact, as an ear-piercing scream came from the house..... the girl had had her fill, and come to her senses..... with her arm through her mother's chest. Altair stood frozen in the back entrance of the house, staring at the scene. The only girl he ever loved stood before him, covered in the blood and the entrails of her own family..... Altair dared to let his eyes wander around the room.... her father lay torn in half, splattered into the corner. He had offered Altair on a previous visit the freedom to come and go from the house whenever he wanted. To the man, Altair was a source of happiness to his daughter. On the carpet, Aire's younger sister, a girl who had greeted Altair cheerfully, and even offered him a cookie. A large portion of her head was missing, and blood chunks of her skull were strewn around her small frame. The girl's own mother impaled on her daughter's arm, brought back a certain memory.... Altair thought back to the first time he met Aire's family. Her mother had questioned his appearence, and Altair had no truthful answer to give. At the time, Aire clung giddy to Altair's relaxed arm, without a care in the world. Aire's mother dropped the question with a smile, and she asked her daughter if Altair made her happy. At the time, Altair merely laughed nervously, trying to deflect the question from the girl, and to himself... but Aire smiled, and answered, "Yes, very much so!" After all, for all intents and purposes, Altair was an attractive, wealthy looking "young" man. Because of his attire, it was nearly impossible to tell him apart from a human. "Don't make my daughter cry, then. Can you promise me that?" At the time, Altair could only say, "Yes ma'am... I can try." Those words came back to Altair as he watched the woman's corpse slide off of Aire's arm.... she was the girl he loved and yet, her eyes were full of rage, and sadness. The scent of blood on the air maddened even the greatest vampire. It was when he clenched his teeth that he revealed what he was on mistake. At that moment... he knew Aire had put together the twisted, convoluted puzzle together in record time. She was a vampire. She had killed her own family. Altair was a vampire, and he... he had.... Altair had rediscovered his humanity at the most horrible moment. He had realized the sheer idiocy of his own actions. Impatience.... had cost him something dear. Aire attacked him brutally, without warning, and with no control. It did little more than stain his clothes with blood as he took the assault in silence. He knew she would take no apology he had to give. And she eventually devolved into choked off sobbed as she slumped to the ground against him, begging for an answer to this hell she had woken up in. Altair had none. The only thing he could do... tell the truth. He owed her that much. He was a vampire, his actions had doomed his own country, and made him the way he was. He had pioneered the way vampires behaved. And he deeply cared for... no, he earnestly loved Aire. This was his truth to her. At the final line, she ceded nothing. She returned only a painful glance, and... she refused him in full. For what he had done was create a monster out of her. A monster that had slaughtered her own family. And Altair parted ways with her from then on. Altair went one in the centuries after this to offer his mind (for a price) to the men and women who ran the giant technological city of Artura. Name: Aire Leerhart Age: 366 Gender: Female Race: Vampire Height: 5'11 Weight: 131 lbs. Likes: Blood, freaking people out, cute things that's aren't human, sushi Dislikes: vegetables, golems, robots, things that sparkle too much, Mosharu Rank: Master Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (?) Class: Berserker Appearance: Personality: For a vampire, Aire is surprisingly good natured.... the key here being "for a vampire". While it may not be an act, and yes, Aire is rather sincere, most of the underlying reason of making friends for this girl is to have fresh blood nearby. More often than not, though, Aire will opt to take out a criminal for blood instead of killing any random person. When you disregard the fact that she is a vampire, Aire seems quite down to earth, somewhat sarcastic, and incredibly fond of teasing people incessantly. Aire is surprisingly vengeful and cynical, and often takes a weary eye to religion whenever it is brought up around her. Being shunned for being a vampire, however obviously understandable (even Altair isn't bothered by this) riles Aire worse than anything. Doing so around her is a good way to lose your head. Attributes: 25 30(Psychosis Form 1) 40(Psychosis Form 2) 56(Psychosis Form 3)Might - 7 9 12 16Swiftness - 10 12 15 21Will - 3 5 6Endurance - 5 6 8 11Weapon: Vampire's Well-Weathered ClawsAire's hands do not seem to transform into anything...they are, in a sense, the most lethal of claws. A faint , non-visible aura seems to surround her hands during battle, as her hands are capable of tearing flesh and bone asunder with little to no effort, but can only nick armor. Her hands are exemplified by her vampire descent, which grants her a very deceptive outward appearance upon her "claws." In a sense, she looks like she's using her hands(some ignorant soul may confuse it with her disturbingly long, sharp nails) to tear enemies into mincemeat. It may explain the fact that blood is almost always left as remnants as a result of an intense battle. Rank: B Abilities: - Body Horror: Aire is a sort of shape shifter, an ability commonly seen among vampires beyond a certain age. Aire is able to manipulate her body is practically any way she needs to. Changing existing mass, creating new mass, and controlling her very blood itself by extension. This ability, in more specific terms, allows Aire to change, create, and grow parts of her body in any way, by manipulation and creation of bone, muscle, nerve, and skin. However this presents a giant problem; Aire lacks the required secondary power to nullify the pain of creating, and connecting the nerves when changing or creating limbs or her entire body in general. This causes absolutely incredible pain, and makes the ability awkward to work with in battle unless she manages to get away from her opponent. The pain only stops when Aire has completed a transformation fully; reverting back to normal causes just as much pain through the destruction of nerves and such. Of course, such pain lingers for a while even after Aire has completed transforming. Blood Psychosis: Without going into a Blood Lust Form, Aire's blood control is greatly hindered and she's only capable of making bottom heavy objects unless she manipulates her body to do otherwise(to which this ability is basically nullified(see: Body Horror)). <"Psychosis Form 1"> This is a rather easy form to accomplish as it only requires that she have a packet of blood, or a similar quantity around. This is easily the least severe of her forms and she maintains control. She must drink a bit of blood to actually maintain the form. Appearance wise, not too much is changed, her sclera (white parts of her eyes) turn yellow and her fingernails take on a more claw-like appearance. This form is capable of taking on several normal humans at once. Her ability to manipulate blood extends to spikes and complex tentacles; generally, most shapes still attached to the ground are within her reach. <"Psychosis Form 2"> This form costs a much higher price. In addition to having to meet the prerequisites of the first form, she must drink a large portion of blood from a friend and she must hate the person she's fighting. This change is much more dramatic in that her sclera turn a crimson red while her eyes take on the golden color. Her claws extend and her strength quickly shoots through the roof. It would be best not to let her claws catch you as she can rip through flesh and break bones with ease. Continuous swipes from her claws can rip through armor with ease. Her mentality suffers greatly in that she doesn't care about her friends and only wishes to tear the enemy limb from limb. Only time can really snap her out of it, unless she manages to dismember and feed upon the blood of an enemy... which... she probably will. <"Psychosis Form 3"> This is basically your psychotic meltdown stage and can only be accomplished in extreme, and possible controlled circumstances. If in Lust Form 2, and she experiences an absolutely dire or traumatizing situation(near death, or murdering of an ally), then she will become blood drunk and go absolutely bat fucking shit insane. She no longer has allies or enemies, only pieces of meat to rip into. Her speed and strength are nigh impossible to match and she will consume blood endlessly. In an actual battle environment where she has allies, Aire should be completely abandoned and you should run the fuck away, pitying the poor, poor bastard she's fighting. Her blood control becomes almost perfect and she absorbs the blood around her. She gains four large bloody appendages sprouting out of her back, stronger than anything she could create in body horror. Her blood control gains a terrifying range increase, and she becomes able to levitate huge quantities of blood off the ground, and transform them to attack her enemies. Blood Healing: While not taking part in a battle directly, Aire can absorb the blood from her fallen foes to heal her body at an incredibly fast rate. This ability is rather dangerous around humans, as Aire has far less self restraint while using it. Strategy: Mission 3: Tear shit Up. Weakness: Aire is rather weak in the middle of a large transformation, due to the amount of pain she's in. She's also mostly direct when fighting, and prefers being up close. History: The light filtered down through the trees on a dim day, several weeks ago. It was that day that a man stumbled upon a ratty, frayed old book. "....? What the hell is this?" He murmured as he knelt down to pick it up. It was frail, and felt as though itv would fall apart if he moved it the wrong way. Upon the cover was a frayed name with several missing letters; "A re L r t". The man smiled as he filled in the name with his own memory, and he opened the old diary to skim through its contents. The top of the pages where the date would have been seem to have gotten water logged at some point, and dark brownish stains could be seen around the edges. None the less, the man started through the ancient book. His reason was unknown... perhaps it was the pursuit of greater knowledge. Entry one. Today was a great day today! I was out to help my mom with the groceries, and I was about to fall, and smash the eggs... then a man came out of nowhere and helped me! He was sorta tall, and he wore a funny suit. When he asked me if I was ok, I sorta blushed..... it was kinda embarrassing. He offered to help me carry the bags back to my house... It wasn't far but... I thanked him anyways, and asked him how long he was in town. I don't think I ever saw someone go that rigid in my life. The man chuckled lightly as he read. It was as if he was remember good times, and enjoying it immensely.... he turned the page, and kept on reading. Entry two. Today I saw the same man again. His clothes are really wierd, but he's fun to talk to! He finally answered my question today; he's staying in town for two weeks, possibly longer. I don't know why, but I was really happy when I heard that. So I told him so. I don't know how this guy lives, getting embarrassed so easily! But, he's really easy going, and he seems real smart for some random traveler. I asked him his name, and he just said Altair. Anyways, he asked me something odd, maybe because he seemed at ease after a while. I dunno, it seemed like a personal question, but he asked me if I believed in redemption. Well... if someone says they're sorry, and they really mean it, isn't that good enough? He doesn't seem to think so.The man laughed again as he read. He appreciated the girl's naiveté. It was refreshing to hear such a view in this day and age for the man. The next few entries were meaningless fluff, or too short to mention; they were simple reminds, do this, do that. He skipped through them, removing the pages they were on as he went. And he found the third, longer entry. Entry three. Wow, he showed up again! I met the strange man in the suit when out on an errand. It was really funny too! We both smiled the same sort of stupid smile, and just laughed together... You know... he doesn't look much older than me. He's kinda... cute too. He's not very expressive though. I asked him if he wanted to join me for lunch, and he reluctantly agreed. I had to drag him by the arm, but... I don't think he minded. He seems really shy.The man skimmed ahead reading bits and pieces of the entries as he went. Altair and the girl stayed together for what seemed like several months. It was nothing he hadn't seen before, and there were still several pages left in the diary. He signed, taking off his hat, and sitting down with his back to a tree. "....." The man made a noise like he wished to say something, but refrained from it, and continued reading. Entry twenty-six. These last few months have been... some of the most amazing times of my life. Altair is such a wonderful person to me! It surprises me every time that he's at my house that he's so polite... my little sister Lili seems to enjoy him. I can't believe it... I'm only seventeen, and.... I think I love him. I really do. I might just ask him to marry me! Oh oh oh ... I hope he says yes! It was evident at this point that the man reading this ancient diary was none other than Altair himself. Upon reading this entry he froze up. After several minutes of utter silence, he continued on, with a fairly good idea of what happened next. Entry twenty-seven. I woke up with a pain in my neck, and overcome with weakness. The doctor examined me, and concluded that it must be a snake bite. He said that if it had been venomous, I would already be dead. Yeah... that's really reassuring. Well dammit, I wanted to do something fun today! I was going to ask Altair to go out to dinner with me... oh well, I guess it can wait until I get over this... however long that takes.Altair's eyes seemed to glaze over as he took this information in, and he could only answer with, "........" Entry twenty-eight....I..... I..... I I I I I I I I I I------------Altair cringed as the smell of dried blood became strangely potent... the page was splattered with it. Jagged ink marks indicated that Aire had attempted to write in it, but was.... he quickly turned the page. The next several pages were like this. They were like abstract pieces of art, written in blood, tears, and pain. Altair scowled, and kept flipping through the pages. Entry forty. How long have... I been doing this. I don't remember. I don't remember what it was like to be normal. Only this diary can remind me what it was like. But its like someone else's handwriting. It doesn't feel like me at all. But.... how long have I been alive now. I haven't changed at all. All I want is... blood... I just want it, and I don't know why. I have to kill them. I have to. Or they'll just kill more people, like me. But I don't want to kill them. But I have to..."....................." Entry forty-one. Wow, I haven't written in this thing in years... its falling apart. My old entries are soooo damn sappy. This new body of mine... its incredible. It can do things that scare the **** out of humans. I'm so strong... I feel like I could take on the devil and come out on top! Ah, man... I can't believe i ever hated this. This is the life that never ends! I can take as much blood as I want as long as I kill whoever I take it from..... Listen to me, writing to myself like this. No one will ever read it. Who the **** am I kidding!? I'm going to be a killer for the rest of... forever. i miss them. I miss my family. I miss my old friends... who are all probably long dead. I... do I miss him? He made me like this. But...he was special.Altair felt guilt he hadn't felt in centuries come rushing back to him. His chest tightened briefly, before he had to force himself to turn the page. Entry forty-three. Damn, its the last page. Ah well, this is just for talking to myself anyways. I can't believe this thing held together for so damn long. Regardless... I think I've made up my mind. I'm going to find him. And when I do... I'll fight him. And I'll kill him. There's no way... if he's like the way I am now... all it ever was to him was blood, shits and giggles. And he set me up to be a sucker to it all. I bet he still thinks its a fucking riot that I slaughtered my own family. Maybe if I can pull it off....Altair closed his eyes, and the diary at the same time. The girl he once loved was merely a spiteful, revenge driven shadow of the girl he once cared for. He slipped the small booklet into his coat, storing it away. The man took a deep breath. And then- "STUPID. LITTLE. GIRL!!!" Altair roared in anger, as he tore three large chunks out of a nearby tree with three brae handed swipes. He spent the next minute calming himself, before placing his hat back on. Aire was still the same seventeen year old brat she had been over three centuries ago. "Heh, I'm a horrible villain... " He chuckled lightly as she stride away, "She on the other hand seems to have turned out terrifying... maybe I can be the one to remind her who she really is?"
