Marble Labyrinth, as me and Advix are calling it for now, is a somewhat open ended modern urban fantasy that takes place in a University located in one of the grassier, more out of the way areas in England. It's a pretty decent place. It has a fairly effective system that supports all manner of students looking for a higher education, and has a wide variety of classes specializing in various subjects. Not a bad place to go if you're looking to get a degree in something.
However, strange things have been happening as of late. A number of students have been invited to attend the University without the approval of dean Darrel Jameson. These students, for varied reasons, seem to be gifted with abnormal abilities that most people would consider to be more common in fiction than in real life. Vampires, psychics, shamans, mages, natural monster hunters, half-angels....All of these students have extraordinary qualities that must be kept hidden from the general public. These students, of course, are your characters.
That's not all, however. The University seems to change its layout and appearance seemingly at random. No one but the player characters seem to notice, either. To make matters worse, there is a labyrinth underneath the University filled with monsters, traps and strange architecture. The goal of the player characters is to figure out what the heck is going on.
This isn't going to be as linear as SWC, though, since it's completely fine to introduce supernatural villains and plots of your own into the mix. The general excuse is that the University seems to attract Supernatural entities and mischief, so there's really no need to tie it with the plot me and Advix are working on too closely.
I'll have a bio template up soon. It'll be pretty much like the Sougenmou template, but with more student oriented information, like racial background, grades, etc. Your character should have supernatural powers of some sort, and should be able to attend a college, but if you can come up with a reason why your character defies those general principles, go for it. Oh, and if you can, try to stick with one PC, though I'm not setting that in stone either. NPCs are fine though.
The reason I'm putting this RP up now is because of the break MK II wants from running SWC. This will probably go on until MK II feels like running SWC again, and will resume the next time the people in charge of an RP need to take a load off.
Me and Advix are hoping this RP goes somewhere, but if it doesn't, I won't take offense. Let's just see where it goes and have some fun for now.
