Aika's orange eyes shot open and she quickly sat up, forcing the upcoming vomit back down her throat. The disgusting taste lingered as she held her chest, her breathing loud and heavy.
"What...what a foul dream. No, it was a nightmare. But never before hath such a vile thing invade my slumber..."
The maimed fox flashed across her mind again, just as vivid as the very room she sat in. It was so odd, though. Normally she was unable to remember her dreams within minutes after waking. But this particular one remained just as lucid as it was when she was actually sleeping.
Aika's attention was forced away from the nightmare when she noticed the drastically different appearance of her room. The walls were scraped, the floor was littered with shards of broken marble, the furniture was torn apart, and everything was covered in a thick layer of dirt. It was all very odd...and very frightening. Aika was no novice when it came to magic and she was fully aware of the various horrific effects it could have. But just because she knew of it did not mean she was mentally, or emotionally, experienced with actually dealing with it.
Aika jumped out of her bed and ran to the door, nearly tripping, grasping the door knob and turning it with all her strength. But it wouldn't budge. The knob wouldn't even turn. The door was locked, but from the outside. How? Why? Why would someone lock her in her dorm? What possible reason could they have?!
The silver haired woman then looked towards the sleeping figure of her hispanic roommate. Did Clara tell someone about her secret? Did they end up locking her within her dorm while they thought of a way to deal with her? No, no...the elf woman had a naive belief of not lying, but she didn't seem like a bad person.
She had to calm down. She needed to think. She was a kitsune! A mystical fox spirit, adept with magic of all kinds! She could handle this. She had to.
A scream. One of terror and suffering. That was a clear sign that something was horribly wrong, not just in Aika's room, but outside as well. However, the only way to find out exactly what was happening was to actually get out of this room.
Aika took a step back and placed her hand on her jade magatama. It glowed brightly and her voice echoed, as if she were some kind of ghostly spirit.
"I summon thee... ROBIN HOOD!!"
Emerald spiritual energy burst forth from the jewel, quickly forming into a tall humanoid in front of her. He wore a lincoln green shirt with several pockets, black tights, and brown boots and gloves. He wore an olive green cloak with a hood that shrouded his face in shadow and a small silver sword was strapped to his left side, while a bow and a quiver full of arrows were on his back. The forest-green archer immediately approached the door, slammed his right hand on it, and jumped back. A purple sigil pulsed in the center of the door and then Robin Hood snapped his fingers.
The door exploded, sending splinters of wood out into the hall while the doorknob flew towards Clara's bed. The faceless hero laughed quietly as his success. "Aye, that sure did it." A purple cloud of noxious gas began spreading from the center of the door frame, the spot of the explosion, but quickly dissipated with another snap of the thief's fingers.
Aika took a step forward, but was stopped when Robin Hood gently grasped her shoulder.
"Allow me to go first, m'lady."
He drew his silver blade and cautiously walked out into the hall, noticing it was similar to the way the dorms were now. After looking down both sides of the hall he looked back into the room, at his master.
"All is clear." He looked at Kyle for a brief moment before looking at Aika again, who was now walking out of the room. "Except for your friend here. He's the only one out and about right now."
Aika nodded at her heroic spirit. "Robin Hood, may I beseech thee to wake Clara?"
The hooded archer politely, and melodramatically, bowed. "Of course. I shall go wake her at once."
Robin Hood stepped back into the room, jumped over to the side of Clara's bed in one bound, and gently shook her. He whispered to her as he did this.
"Aika wishes for you to be awake, Clara. There is something amiss and it is best that you're awake for it."

Lyla awoke with a start, clutching her head, her skin clammy, as she looked around her warped dorm. He eyes bugged out, as she looked around the room, trying to make sense of the terrifying dream that she had just had. What the hell was THAT all about? Infact, there was a bigger concern in Lyla's mind, one that she had to state out loud, even with no one to hear it.
"... bloody fucking hell... did I just get sucked into Silent Hill?" Lyla quietly got up, checking the door as if to confirm something, "Shit isn't rusty, but the doors do seem locked. Wonderful. This day just gets better..." With sarcasm thick in her voice, Lyla drew her leg back, and straight kicked the door, her hands still now in her pockets. The sheer force behind it caved the door in, splitting it in two. In the hell before her stood Aikia, some guy in green, and some ways down, a confused looking Kyle.... though, just barely.
"Well, nice to see someone else is-"
*CRASH*
Lyla's thought was cut off, as a series of heavy blows came from the room next to hers, the door to caving outwards, until finally, after four heavy strikes, it fell limply off its hinges, a... bored, and fairly cross-armed Juli walking out of the room; she walked over as soon as she spied Aika and Lyla, yawning as she did so.
"Did NOT get enough sleep to deal with this acid trip dream sequence.... and morning. Night.... what the fuck is this dark hour bullshit?" Lyla immediately got the reference, high fiving the athletic girl, though a bit more carefully... she had just beaten down a heavy dormitory door with nothing but punches and kicks... normal students... wait.
"...Huh. We're in a bit of an odd spot, aren't we?" Lyla mused, looking to Aika, then the strange new figure, then to Juli.
"And that scream was creepy shit too." Juli's addition to Lyla's thought was agreed upon instantly; who... exactly made a scream like that?

"If you wish to avoid this fate, then awaken now,"
As Robin Hood gently shook the sleeping elf, who was clearly not doing any better than anyone else. Her skin was lined with a cold sweat, her eyes furrowed in intense concentration and shock, and her chest rose in heavy staggered breathes as if stunned. After a short period, Clara's eyes darted open in shock, quickly slapping the rogue's hands away and producing a small, white revolver from under her pillow in an instant. With a 'click', the revolver swerved in Robin Hood's direction in an instant, Clara's rabid eyes taking in his features without hearing his words. How could she listen to him anyway? With that image so vivid in her mind, it was impossible to think.
Those images, that flashed across her conscience like bloody fireworks. The one that she could not forget, was that of the woman surrounded in a pool of scarlet blood. That woman... she was...
No... a real detective would not lose their cool so easily like this. Just brush it to the side... and think. Take everything in, and think. She felt all emotion drain away, a cold hard visage of a detective replacing it instantly. Only logic and reason were important now.
The first thing she noticed was obviously the man who had waken her up. Although his forest attire was somewhat familiar in her mind, he had no face. At first, she thought he was wearing a mask, to cover his face, similar to that of a robber, but that assessment wasn't correct. He literally did not have a face. But that was not important right now, in her assessment of the situation, it was only moderately interesting. The next thing was the state of the room. It looked as though a tornado or hurricane had assaulted it while she were asleep, noting the broken marble floors and destroyed furniture. The most logical conclusion was that this man had broken in and done this. But it seemed that he knew Aika... no, his tone was respectful even, like that of a master and servant. He was not a threat.
The half-elf's cold emerald eyes pierced into Robin Hood's frame once more, silently lowering her revolver. Wincing as the air hit her not-so modestly dressed attire (a tight black camisole and pajama pants), Clara quickly moved over to her hoodie, flinging it on carelessly over her figure and flipping the hood on her quickly. Hesitating, she slipped the white revolver and another object into the large front pocket, before turning her gaze to the front door. Aika was walking out of it, and the door looked like it had been broken down. Worse, the hallways looked to be in the same condition as their room... looking at it logically was one thing, but one nagging question could not be restrained from escaping her lips.
"...What the hell happened?" Clara muttered to herself, eyes narrowing as she moved up to join the kitsune. No... stay calm. If she did that, then they could find out what happened.
"Aika, you woke up first. What happened?" She had not meant to address her question so brusquely, but as Clara looked around the hallway, there was no other way to put it. Such destruction... if something like this had happened in her sleep, then she would have woken up. Narrowing her eyes, she placed a hand inside the front pocket of her hoodie, spotting another figure in the hallway. No... it was just one of the people that Aika had met yesterday, she believed.

Trevor tossed and turned in his bed, cold with sweat. He felt as if... something was over him. As if he was being crowded, like he was being suffocated, stifled...
He woke up to a scream. It startled him, tearing him from his sleep and into another nightmare. His room seemed cold, and filthy. Piles of dirt and stones were about his room, or at least, what seemed like his room. Something was off, aside from the dirt and rocks, and Trevor didn't like it. He leapt down from his bunk bed, and put the rest of his clothes back on, and grabbed a lolipop from his pant pocket, jamming it in his mouth. He walked over to the door, and tried to turn the knob, but the knob wouldn't turn. Locked? From the outside?
"What the fuck?" Trevor grabbed the knob harder, turning and pulling on the metal ball, until he quite effortlessly pulled the knob and axle out of the door, the lock mechanism falling apart from the inside. He looked at it, confusedly, before tossing it behind him. He peeked his head out to look around, only to find a weird marble hallway. Well that wasn't his hallway. Where were the other doors?
"Hey Neil, wake up, man! Something weird is..." Trevor looked back to the bottom bunk to see that Neil wasn't there. The blankets were a mess, and looked as if they were practically dragged off the mattress. Trevor quickly checked the bathroom, only to find nothing. Wait... wasn't there a scream earlier?
"No way..." Trevor grabbed his bokken by the dresser and ran out into the hallway. Left, right, which way was the scream? He couldn't remember, he had been half asleep. When he looked to his right, he could just see something in the darkness. He couldn't see what it was, or what shapes made it, but something was there, and then it retreated past his sight. The hell was it? Where was it going? Should he follow? Was it already gone? Was there even anything there in the first place?
"Nnnnngh..." He made up his mind. He sprinted down the hall way to his right. The place was too spooky, he had to find Neil fast, and get the hell out of there. ...If there was even a way back.

Everybody was asking each other questions. Where are we? What's going on?
"I don't think any of us know what's happening right now," Kyle said in his usual, softspoken voice.
Amongst all the chaos, it was hard to notice at first, but eventually, Kyle saw something of note about this "Aika" person.
"...You have ears on the top of your head," he said plainly. It was true. The woman seemed to have a pair of animal-like ears on top of her skull.
Kyle followed up his previous statement with "Why is that?" He would have given Aika time to answer, had a punk rocker with a ridiculous haircut not darted passed the others, toward the east. Who was he? And more importantly, why was he in such a hurry?
"...He's heading toward the scream." He (yet again) said plainly. They needed to go after him. They could all try to answer each others' questions later. Right now, following that man, and that scream, was more important.
"Lyla, get Juli. Everyone else, follow behind me."
Kyle knew about his own strength, but he wasn't sure how strong the others were. He was also used to leading, at least when it came to sports. That was his reasoning for wanting to take the lead. It was the responsibility of the strong to protect the weak, wasn't it?
Kyle began to walk off, following the punk rocker's trail.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, as Trevor continued down the hall, the sounds of grinding metal echoed ever more loudly. Whimpering accompanied the grinding. The place grew only more and more dark as he moved deeper and deeper into the dirty labyrinth.
Things were only seeming to get worse as he moved closer to the source of the noise.

Trevor skidded to a halt after realizing that he just passed some people in the hallway. In fact, they were the same people from before, the students in the hallway. Why were they here? What did they have to do with this? Did they see that shadow thing come past here too? It was then that Trevor heard the grinding of metal, and whimpers in the distance. Was that Neil, whimpering? He didn't know, he had only met Neil, and he had never heard Neil whimper before, but it ate at Trevor. What could possibly make a grown man whimper in fear like that? It made Trevor doubt his own courage...
"To hell with these feelings. I don't care if it's Pyramid Head, I'll kick his ass all the same!" There was no way Trevor was going to abandon a guy who was cowering in fear in a place like this. No one deserved that. He continued to run down the hallway, the grinding and whimpering growing louder and louder. He was getting closer, he knew it.

Aika was about to answer Clara, but stopped when Kyle said no one knew what had happened. She then nodded. "The musclebound man is correct. I know as much as this situation as thou, Clara."
Wait...WAIT! He just mentioned she had ears on her head. Why would he ask such a ridiculous question? They all had ears. Unless...
"M'lady, it seems that the magic hiding your inhuman traits is nullified in this realm."
She looked at the emerald thief, eyes wide in disbelief. It was ridiculous. Prepostrous! There was no way the magic hiding her true appearance could be so easily dispelled! However, if that were true...why was she able to feel the back of her dress with her four tails? Why was she able to make her fox ears twitch? The answer was obvious, but Aika slowly reached towards the top of her head and gently stroked her ears.
Indeed, her true ears were present. Which meant her tails were visible as well. It was an incredibly shocking surprise that made the kitsune blankly stare at the wall. She had not even been in this school for 24 hours and her secret was already exposed to multiple people. AIka's heart began beating so hard that it hurt and her breathing became faster and heavier every second. She wanted to scream. In fact, she was about to, and the heroic spirit next to her knew it. Before she could even open her mouth, Robin Hood gently placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Do not fret. It is obvious something is amiss and everyone here has more important matters to concern themselves with than your true form. Like the oddly dressed man who just sprinted by us."
Aika's breathing gradually steadied and returned to normal. She felt her ears one last time before nodding at her friend.
"Thou art correct. We all have...much more pressing matters at the moment."
She watched as Kyle began to walk after the darkly-dressed man. Robin Hood nodded in approval at his decision to go first.
"Aye, best to go first when unsure of the strength of your allies." He looked at his master, who began walking and pointed at Kyle's back.
"Go with him and follow by his side. Thou shalt be able to sense danger beforehand and warn us."
The chivalrous thief nodded and moved ahead, walking on Kyle's right side and matching his pace.
This whole situation was confusing and very worrying. Not only because of the fact they had all been thrown into unfamiliar territory, but also because this was the first time Aika was having Robin Hood watch over an entire group with her included. In the past she had had him protect her and one other person at most or had him protecting a small group while she was in safety. If something actually did attack them, what would be the proper way to respond? Have the archer prioritize her protection over everyone else, or try to keep everyone safe equally? Wait, why was she even questioning this? She had just met some of these people less than a day ago! She barely even knew any of them! It was obvious she needed to keep her own safety as the top priority.
Yet, what of Clara? And Arkadi? Aika already had some small amount of fondness for them and she felt genuinely bad for neglecting their safety for hers.
...Robin Hood could handle proectingt three people. She would have him try to protect them all, but if that wasn't possible, she, Clara, and Arkadi would be the priorities.

"..." Clara's eyes widened as she realized Aika's ears were indeed visible and in plain sight to everyone near. What's more, her tails were also visible, which meant that whatever magic Aika was using to conceal them was negated here. How troublesome... was all magic negated here then? If that was the case, then it'd get difficult later if they had to fight off any intruders. It also seemed to be bothering the young kitsune, who seem flustered by the sudden appearance of her fox ears and tails. Faintly, Clara recalled their previous conversation, when Aika had promised to keep Clara's own ears a secret. She had responded in kind, by telling the kind kitsune that she could not keep her identity a secret. Was it somewhat ironic, that out of the two, Aika was the first to have her secret revealed?
Sighing slightly, the young half-elf slapped the kitsune's back lightly, flinging her hood back quickly, and revealing her soft feminine face and tussled brown hair, which merely ran down her neck in a messy mane without a hair tie. Slightly shivering as the cold air hit her sensitive elven ears, Clara turned her gaze away from Aika, a stoic gaze focused on the path above, where Kyle and the mysterious man had disappeared. Trying to act as if exposing her own secret didn't bother her, Clara ignored the sudden fast-paced beating of her heart, and let out a small, yet exaggerated sigh as she massaged the tips of her pointed ears gently.
"It's not a big deal, right? You look more natural that way anyway." She muttered quietly, and it was evident that in her own, unique and awkward way, the hispanic half-elf was trying to console her roommate. Jerking her head towards the escaping figures of Kyle and Robin Hood, a rare smile coming to her lips as she looked back to Aika. "Let's catch up. He's our only lead right now."
"Oh, and..." A sudden 'click' was heard from inside the front pocket of her hoodie, a sudden smirk coming to Clara's lips as she pulled out an unusual white revolver from inside her pockets. It was smaller than most, with a cut off barrel, but the chamber for inserting bullets was larger than the usual gun as well. Besides the oddities, it was a fairly elegant looking gun, painted a smooth pearl white sheen with a jet black grip. In one smooth motion, Clara opened the chamber, inserted six bullets effortlessly, and flipped the chamber closed with a remarkably fluent gait.
"Tell the faceless guy in green, that I think I'll be alright."

Lyla cocked her head to the side, confused at Kyle's mention of ears. Then she saw it... the strange ears that Aika and her roommate both possessed. Juli's eyebrows raised, as she began to put the pieces together, taking off her tinted glasses entirely to get a better look at Aika.
"You gotta be shittin me... a kitsune, and an elf? Shit, that's weird enough, but..." The bright-haired girl scratched her head, , walking up behind the two, "We're so going to have to talk later..." Lyla couldn't help but agree. Though, if they were that weird, they wouldn't mind the thing she was going to pull out of thin air, either.
"Gae... Bolg..." Lyla focused her body, and for a brief moment, her arm shimmered a crystalline blue, as swirling red mist condensed into the form of a long, crimson spear, one that she was familiar with using. She idly spun the spear in one hand , grinning at the kitsune and half-elf, and though to say 'who's defenseless now?'. Juli sighed, and produced what looked like a small shiv from the inside of her belted skirt. It appeared that none of these people were defenseless... Perhaps it was this world.
"Well then, I say we name this place! How about 'The Nexus of Bloody Weirdness'? It does seem appropriate at the moment." Lyla began to walk ahead, shouldering her newly created spear.
"Works for me." Juli stated, looking down at Aika's tails, resisting the urge to find out if they were as soft as they looked. Really, this kinda shit happening the first day? She didn't know whether this was lucky, or terrible as hell...

Trevor would have reached Neil in a matter of seconds, if the most elaborate roadblock imaginable had not blocked his way. Trevor's face hit something hard. Hard as rock. The force of running into the object sent him falling backwards. After regaining his senses, what he hit would have been within plain view. It was a wall. A big, runed, marble wall, blocking his path, that simply appeared out of nowhere.
Things were not going Trevor's way today.
The sounds of whimpering disappeared, and the sounds of footsteps were approaching.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The layout was exactly the same as the north wing dorms. At least as far as the hallways were considered. This provided Kyle with a great deal of comfort. At least now he had some direction. He was still lost, but at least he was only mostly lost.
His face turned red and sweat poured from his pores. He let out a few deep breaths as he moved forward.
In the distance, he saw the punk rocker that had passed them earlier. He was lying on the ground, and appeared to have suffered quite the collision. Kyle assumed that he had, for one reason or another, run into the very sturdy marble wall in front of them.
Kyle walked over to the rocker and offered him a hand.
"Are you alright?" He asked.

Aika's eyes widened at Clara. She didn't need to do that. She didn't need to reveal her own secret just because hers was out. But she did anyways, as a way to help comfort her. The kitsune smiled at her. Such a gesture...was rare and unexpected. This elf was an even better person than she thought.
Hm? Oh, that was a curious sight. Lyla was able to conjure up a replica of Gae Bolg, the same spear that Cu Chulainn used. Or, at least, the one used in that visual novel she liked. She was curious if it could actually do the same things that that version could do, but that could wait for another time.
Robin Hood, meanwhile, stroked his non-existent chin. "Ah, yes. Another member for our little band of merry men! I believe he's fine, just had a nasty collision with this wall here." The spirit approached the wall of solid marble and knocked against it a few times.
"Solid marble. Well that's a rather annoying inconvenience."
Aika folded her arms. "Canst thou destroy it like the door?"
"That thought already cross my mind, m'lady. But the door was mere wood, while marble is quite tougher. I'm confident my bomb would be able to break part of it, but we have little clue as to how thick it is. I believe it would be far better if we had a much more...forceful weapon."
He looked at everyone.
"Does anyone have any ideas? If not, I suggest you all entertain yourselves with something while I whittle away this wall with my bombs."

Should Kyle have turned back by now, he will be greeted by the realization that there was nobody there in the room. Arkadi's bed sheets were left on his bed, but there was nobody in sight to greet the room with heavy, audible breaths. It would have seemed that Arkadi left long ago, and in his wake, several papers and objects in the room were left scuttled around on the floor as if a sharp gale had struck through the dorm room. But apparently, someone had left in Arkadi's place.
As the party regrouped upon recruiting Trevor, a loud throttle was heard, growing louder and louder as a turbulent blast could be picked up from a mile away. A radiant blur of blue energy lit up the other end of the corridor, moving in a linear direction before picking up on the sight of the group before him. He then began to swerve to the side while speeding past the group in a glide with his fist outstretched towards the turn of the corridor. Yes, it started to look like a dorm room wing now. There wasn't the rubble of the area they were all from. The armored figure wasn't quite sure what it meant yet, but it gave an indication that there was indeed life remaining in this area. The presence of hateful spirits, however, lingered throughout the premises and the figure wouldn't be satisfied until they were brought to justice.
Emerging in front of the marble wall, a brief blue flash dissipated in front of the group as an enigmatic knight stood in front of them. He was fully clad in a form-fitting suit of gold armor, the draft in the air blowing his mantle of blue flames upward as it flowed behind him. His back turned, the figure turned a side of his head towards the group, even though he had no visible face to speak of. The horn on his helmet protruded towards them before turning back at the wall, both fists clenched and arms arched back.
"Stand back. I sense danger behind this wall. Trail me closely and I shall judge the damned that may lie ahead..."
The dignified tone from which the armored figure spoke was in a voice and inflection unlike any other person the group had met before. It resonated with...power and conviction, a strength pulsating around him even through sparkles of blue energy that coursed at his arms.
Suddenly, a massive blade of this blue energy began to form, scintillating with power until it reached nearly ten feet. More than enough to scale this wall. He wasn't sure what this group had tried before, but it was enough of a solution to slice straight through it and let the people behind him take care of the rest. Although they didn't know who he was, he knew them. They were his allies for the time being.
The colossal blade of blue energy then slashed upward in an overhead arc at the flick of a wrist, searing straight through the marble wall until an opening large enough for the figure and some of the other group members to pass through has opened in front of them.
"..." Turning back with echoing inhale of breath, the figure dashed forward with a trail of dissipating energy following him.

Aika silently stared at the remains of the wall. That armored being...who was he? There was a slightly familiar aura about him, but it was mixed in with completely unfamiliar energies. Far too much for her to actually be able to even think of who it could possibly be. But either way, the creature appeared to be on their side. It seemed like it preferred to be on its own, but at least it was an ally.
Robin Hood whistled, impressed by the armored being's display.
"Aye, that sure did it. I'd wager no one has any clues as to what that was?"
Aika shook her head. "If I wist, thou would as well."

"Well, I would join in the supernatural show and tell, but that would cause more problems at the moment, m'kay?" Juli spoke as she hopped through the hole, her mouth half way open at the spectacle, "I'll be fine with this little stabby thing here, and Lyla has her own stabby thing, the elf chick brough a fucking gun, so she's fine, and the armored guy... do I even need'ta go on about that? I mean jeez, the fox chick can summon faceless people! ... He kinda reminds me of that Men in Tights movie, though."
"Juli, could you please stop rambling for a moment? The situation is strange enough..." Juli shrugged. and walked off after the armored figure, flipping her crude knife in her hand.
"Well, I don't know who that was, but I feel compelled to follow him for some bizarre reason! Strange, isn't it?" Juli spoke back from the other side of the hole in the wall, still grinning. Lyla couldn't help but massage her forehead with her free hand... why was this happening, again? Regardless, she knew she had to do something, soooo...
"Oye, hold up there!" Lyla called out to the armored guy, running after him in an attempt to get him to slow down, or even stop.
