"It doesn't matter what I've been through. Allowing myself to become jaded would go against everything I've fought for."
Pilot Name: Darun
Pilot Age: Estimated to be 27 years old
Pilot Race: Fetar
Pilot Appearance: Darun is a pale skinned Fetar with long, side-parted orange hair, a layer of red feathers covering the nape of his neck and chest. His build is fairly strong, and he stands at about 6.2 feet tall. Like all Fetari, instead of hands or feet, he has five-fingered talons. Darun's face is fairly angular, and he has a pointed, but short nose. Among his more notable features are his remarkably thick eyebrows, and his sharp yet gentle eyes.
Darun's wings are quite lengthy and thick. Each wing has a total length of around 7 feet when fully unfolded. The feathers on his wings are mostly orange, though there are a decent number of red feathers along their lower edge.
Darun can be often seen wearing a metallic armored vest and leggings. The shoulder pads, elbow pads, and knee pads are given sharp points, perhaps to make them aerodynamic. When not suited up for combat, Darun can also be seen wearing a white hide jacket and jeans. Regardless of his current choice of outfit, he is always seen wearing half a dozen necklaces, each with a carefully crafted wooden wing-shaped charm at the end. Similar beaded accessories are tightly wrapped around his arms. These are, in fact, mementos of his orphan flock brethren who died of starvation during his childhood.
Pilot Personality: Darun is generally a warm, compassionate person who prefers to speak softly. He has great sympathy for others who are suffering, especially when they feel helpless. This kindness often seems strange to those who realize he's a member of the United Fetari Military, which leads to misconceptions about his mental fortitude. Others often assume that because of his soft heart, he will break easily under pressure. In actuality, it's his concern for others that motivates him, giving him a will of iron.
However, Darun is not without his flaws. In the past, he has been reprimanded by his superiors for his inability to compromise his moral integrity for the greater good. He doesn't hesitate so much as outright refuse to perform certain actions (killing children or innocent bystanders, for example). When push comes to shove, he may need some convincing before he's willing to pull the trigger.
Psyframe Name/Designation: Garuda 001
Psyframe Appearance: The Garuda is a very sharply designed frame, with various pointed bits where the parts meet each other (sharp shoulderpads, sharp knees, etc. Standing about about 10.5 meters tall, the mech is colored mainly red, with some orange and yellow thrown into the mix. Its sports a large set of mechanical wings on its back that is formed of several interconnected metal plates, allowing them to fold and unfold much like organic wings.
The mech has no hands, but instead has a right arm with a large diamond shaped shield connected at the end, and a large pipe-shaped scattergun on the left arm. In addition, its feet each have talons that resemble a Fetar's, with four claws in front, and one in back.
Psyframe Build: Gale - Garuda is built to be maneuverable above all else. However, it is also fairly well armed for a Gale-class frame. The additional gear it carries does way it down in the most literal sense, but does not impede its movement, thanks to its gravity defying warp wings. Overall, Garuda is a remarkably effective hit-and-run mech that can tear through entire platoons of common Jack frames on its own.
Psyframe Origin: Experimental - It's a wonder how the Fetari managed to successfully create the Garuda at all, considering how little resources they have to spend on technological research. Garuda's design was based around a theoretical alternative to the traditional system that almost all frames make use of. Instead of using impulse boosters to propel it through air in space, Garuda uses a pair of wing-shaped apparatuses on its back that function as miniature warp drives. When the wings 'flap', controlled amounts of warp energy are released in the direction of the flapping, propelling the mech in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the warp wings are technically capable of reaching FTL speeds, doing so would heavily tax the frame's energy supply. In addition, since the inertial dampeners are not as powerful as the ones you would find on a large FTL capable cruiser, going faster than light anywhere near a gravitational pull of any kind could set the mech off course or outright destroy it.

Story:
The following information is for your eyes only. Do not risk dishonoring the Kerjal Empire by allowing anyone to suspect you have this information.
Agent Pennara
This is a brief summary of what information we could recover on the suspected pilot of the Garuda. We expect you to make good use of it.
According to official documents, the pilot, named Darun, was born on the Fetar homeworld of Avala. His parents passed away at an undetermined date and time during his infancy, presumably of malnutrition. He survived thanks to the goodwill of an eldery couple before he was taken in by the Iaglon orphan flock.
As is typical of orphan flocks, only roughly 45% survived, while the rest either died of various causes, including starvation, malnutrition, dehydration, and disease. Darun was one of children that was fortunate enough to survive until reaching adulthood. He spent a little over 2 years as a skyguard (essentially a Confederate police officer). It was during this time that he learned how to pilot a psyframe.
It's at this point where the history ends, however. There are no official records of what happened after Darun quit being a skyguard. However, we are at least 98% certain that he is the one piloting the Garuda.
If you uncover any information regarding the whereabouts of Darun, you are immediately investigate, and if possible, apprehend both him and the Garuda.
Glory to Kerjal, agent. Be swift. Be discreet.
