Name: Tauras Heimdalr
Age: ???
Gender: Male
Race: Undead (Skeleton) (formerly human)
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 243 lbs (all but 14% of his weight is purposefully added with his ki powers to not make him lightweight in battle)
Likes: Silence, valor, pride, leadership, righteousness, legends, myths, storytelling, praying, faith, humility, chivalry
Dislikes: Arrogance, demons, devoid, necromancy, discouragement, doubt,
Alignment: Lawful Good
Class: Crusader
Appearance:
((Kame did courteous favor of drawing RPG sprites for him in return for pitching this character as a party member in his RPG.))
Tauras has all the features of an armored skeleton and more. He has no muscle on his body to speak of, and moves through sheer willpower. His bones are a polished beige color. A constant, somewhat unnerving grin is stuck on his face due to all his teeth being visible. A feint magenta aura emanates from his body wherever he goes, and blue embers burn brightly in his empty eye sockets.
The Crusader keeps his bones well protected with armor at all times. The armor is of extremely old Devoid make. In certain areas, it almost seems high tech, while in others, it seems old and rusty. Underneath several of the armor's various parts are layers of torn up brown cloth that add to his ghastly appearance. The armor covers a good deal of his body without being to heavy to weigh him down or reducing too much flexibility. The area around most of the joints are protected my metal pads or nothing at all rather than full plate, allowing for greater freedom of movement. His open-faced also does a nice job of protecting his skull while also exposing his frozen grin.
Personality:
Tauras' persona heavily contrasts his appearance in many ways. He is a wrathful, but honorable warrior who desires nothing but to serve his gods and perform his duty to the people of Kyril.
Tauras believes that he was chosen by fate to be the guardian of Kyril's life cycle. He believes that it's his sworn duty to determine who is and isn't worthy of living at any present point in time. Ironically, he views most undead as things that should be cast back into the Void as soon as possible to preserve the natural order. He is hardly unfair however, and will grant a boon to any undead who he believes have good cause to exist in their current state. His own undeath serving as the prime example.
During conversation, Tauras is generally very formal, but also curious. His typical greeting is usually something along the lines of "honor to you," or "blessings of the pantheon, warrior." He enjoys telling stories, both true and fictional, and often uses them as a way to get a point across.
Taurus' opinions on Devoid are mostly negative, but he differs from many in his specific views on them. While many hate them for being human supremacists, his dislike for them stems from how much they've sacrificed to maintain dominance. Taurus believes that Devoid was once a proud, honorable society that did its job well in preserving the balance of Kyril. However, over time the people of Devoid became more concerned about maintaining dominance than taking care of Kyril as the gods intended. To him, Devoid is now a shadow of its former glory that lies to itself to spare itself from condemnation. A force for good corrupted by pride and self-deception.
Tauras, as you may have guessed, is a very religious character. He worships a pantheon of gods whose names have changed several times over the course of Kyril's history. Tauras knows them by their original names, and refers to them as such because he believes it brings them more honor to do so. This particular pantheon was once worshiped by a fair number of people in Devoid's earliest days, and eventually was adopted by some non-human societies like Grand Divide. Despite this, worship of the pantheon has died down considerably. More people in present day Kyril prefer to justify everything with science or magic, much to Tauras' disappointment. Regardless, he remains devout to his gods, and continues to fight in their name.
Tauras has a sort of "friendly enemy" relationship with his former master Raiga no Kyuu. While he respects his wisdom and experience, he disagrees with Raiga on quite a few significant issues. Tauras believes him to be a bitter old man who is blind in many more ways than one, whereas Raiga views Tauras as a foolish and stubborn knight who has sacrificed too much of himself for too little. The issue of Tauras' state of undeath often comes up during conversations between the two, and they always end the same way. Tauras continues to believe that his work in Kyril will be done when he is finally slain for good, and Raiga continues to argue that he should have died long ago. Tauras' ability to manipulate ki is also an issue, since Raiga believes that ki manipulation is less "natural" than prana manipulation and can also be used in some particularly cruel ways. Tauras scoffs at this and claims that Raiga is either afraid or envious of his ability to control it effectively.
Weapon 1:
Galdragh - A large battleaxe that acts as a phylactery to contain Tauras' soul. It's a very well crafted and beautiful weapon. The blades of the axe are a bright platinum color, while the base is a shiny obsidian with golden metal bands forged around it. The blades of the axes are jagged in places, and have numerous runes carved into the metal. The runes translate roughly to this.
"Give me unlife to extinguish unlife."
"Give death so I may deliver it to the unrighteous."
"Give me life so I may deliver it to the just."
"Let my spirit be bonded to my weapon; my resolve bonded to my cause."
"My cause is just."
"My desires benign."
"With these words I accept authority over the living and the dead."
"Gods' will be done."
Weapon Rank: A
Weapon 2:
Pugilism - Those bony fingers of Tauras' have much more weight behind them than one might at first think.
Weapon Rank: B
Subweapon: None.
Armor:
Blessed Armor - High class armor made from aged, but durable Devoid-mined metals. It protects a good deal of Tauras' skeleton while also allowing a good deal of free movement.
Rank: B
Rank: Expert
Attributes:
Power - 12 (Might and Will are fused into one stat thanks to the Might By Will ability.)
Agility - 6
Endurance - 6
Elemental Affinity: Ki. Ki is a special type of prana which is linked to the mind. It's what allows living creature's thoughts, be they conscious or unconscious, to determine the actions. Without Ki, living creatures end up braindead on all levels, and all bodily functions shut down. Ki is by far the most difficult form of prana to control, and also debatably the most dangerous. Ki manipulation, if mastered properly, can be used to make one's body stronger simply by willing it, or to pull off implausibly, perfectly executed techniques in combat. It can also be utilized to, in more extreme cases, be used to control or destroy the minds of others.
Ki is the form of prana with the most intricate connection to the soul. The soul, being the framework for a person's personality and history, has a strong connection to Ki, the energy of thought and will. There can be no personality without thought, and vice versa. Because of this close connection, it is possible to use Ki to attack the soul of a living creature and break it, damning the creature to a fate worse than death. This is one of the very few ways it is possible to kill a truly immortal being.
Bottom line, Ki is one of the most powerful and deadly energies that can be weaponized in all of Kyril. The only problem is that almost no one is capable of doing so. At least not without killing themselves in the process.
Elemental Control: Ki is a thing that few mortal beings can attempt to weaponize without destroying their very souls in the process. Even the weakest of ii-users should be considered a threat. Tauras has had at least thousands of years of mastery over ki, making him one of the most efficient ki-users in Kyril. However, because of his lack of activity, he's gotten somewhat rusty, and can't control his ki quite as effectively as he used to.

Might By Will: Tauras' physical strength is not determined by muscle mass, but by the strength of his will. Because he wills his body to be strong, his Ki ensures that it is strong. All he needs to do in order to make himself stronger is to strengthen his will, and it will be done. This effectively makes his Will stat and his Might stat the same thing, and they combine to make the Power stat. Magical defense, magical attack power, and physical attack power are now all determined by how many points Tauras has in Power.
