Name: Cathan Gautz
Age: 19
Race: Human
Class: Badass
Appearance: Cathan grew up as one awfully eccentric teenager. It was apparent that he was aiming for an unkempt, carefree teenage punk, though he took it in a different direction. His build is a bit on the lean side, pretty healthy for someone his age. Cathan's hair juts out in a modest black afro, his hair all drooping down in curls. His decently long hair is restrained by a dark blue headband that doesn't conflict with the aviator sunglasses that frequently sit on his forehead. Grooming was taught rather well to him, so his facial hair never grows out much; however, he keeps a rather short stubble on his face and a noticeable, pointy beard on his chin. His light skin was chiseled well with his face to make it such that he doesn't look too ostentatious.
However, the modesty ends there for the most part. Cathan wears a thickly-knit neon green shirt and over it he dons a vest of dark, lacquered leather. Blue, studded gauntlets bolster his grip and to an extent, even his close quarter combat skills. Blue shorts hang down to his knees, made of a rather strong, denim-like fabric, and near his right leg hangs a metal chain which descends into a U shape and is clinched to his jeans. Lastly, he walks around comfortably wearing black and blue sneakers that one could swear were built to play sports with.
Personality: For somebody who has such a pivotal role in the rebel group, Cathan isn't one to take his role seriously. And in fact, he really doesn't. He has the attention span of a peanut and sleeps half of the time when he has to deal with being given instructions. Cathan is somewhat of a trendsetter and prefers to employ his own sense of strategy to the situation; although he doesn't behave like a leader, he has all the potential to be one. Playing sports for years on end has helped him to become an acute thinker and a rather active person on his own two feet, keeping calm and composed in the most frenzied situations.
That is, when he feels motivated to do so. Cathan is a strange mix of enthusiastic rebel group member and typical lazy teenager, and the latter half of his characteristics die hard. He's too lazy to often take action unless being commanded or incentivize to and feels a need to attach a worth to every action he commits to. He often tries to judge people by the amount of patience they deplete from him rather than their actual integrity, although, the two thankfully overlap very often. Cathan has rogueish charisma built up from the street smarts of growing up and the experiences he has through working with Gregor Samsa and is luckily a rather efficient negotiator. He is sociable enough that he will break up times of crisis with bouts of conversation, not unlike a certain wolfen we all know.
Weapon: Scorekeeper: An ball made of pure electric energy. The ball has a consistency of a kickball and Cathan can bounce the weapon around at a rather agile pace. Cathan is completely immune to the shock generated by the ball and can tether the ball at any time to rebound it back. Once Cathan kicks it or dunks it into an opponent, it emits a large explosive blast of lightning in a three foot radius, enough to break guards and toast an unprotected opponent. He can use it like a basketball or a soccerball. Don't collide with this thing.
Subweapon: Skateboard: Although not much of a weapon on its own, Cathan uses a skateboard to enhance his mobility in and out of battle. If Cathan discharges lightning energy, the skateboard doubles in efficiency by accelerating the skateboard and leaving a trail of electric energy in its path, limiting an opponent's ability to pursue Cathan. Discharging, however, makes it harder to control the trajectory of the skateboard; his focus is broken otherwise. The skateboard of made of numerous layers of plywood and can probably serve as a makeshift blunt weapon if Cathan imbues the weapon with lightning energy, although this is not how the weapon is supposed to be used and thus it is used like this very rarely.
Subweapon 2: Although not really a subweapon, Cathan is a pretty skilled grappler and brawler from his experience in the underground and his control of electricity helps him subdue opponents more efficiently.
Abilities:
Lightning Rod: The battery implants within Cathan's body help augment his body into an ionized object. He cannot be harmed by any energy attacks that don't completely vaporize him, and instead recycles the energy as an amplification of his electricity potency. Lightning attacks fired at Cathan are also capable of being redirected by him as a result, although this takes twice as much energy as firing his own lightning and probably more(or less) depending on how potent the blast is.
Discharge: Cathan originally got the idea of channeling electricity from playing a video game in which his favorite character was this green beast who could surround himself with an aura of lightning. This was something like that at first, but it became the first of several phases to what is now a rather proficient control over lightning. Cathan can discharge a torrent of lightning energy all throughout his body, gaining decent control over it through a slew of applications. Lightning can be coursed in any part of Cathan's body and can be shot outward. He can use the lightning to propel himself forward as a makeshift motor for his skateboard, moving at a much faster pace and leaving a trail of lightning in his path. He is capable of channeling the lightning through his arms and shooting large rays and blasts of lightning outward, capable of penetrating right through an opponent if they aren't already fried by lightning. Although Cathan can manipulate the lightning coursing through his body, he is limited in how he can manipulate it and can't create overly bottom-heavy objects to fire with his own lightning. The potency of the lightning is obviously limited by Cathan's own energy and generating large amounts of lightning over time will tire him out rather quickly.
Volt Tether: Cathan shoots an electric web-like tendril that connects with whatever it touches. It can link to the ball making it a tetherball of sorts which can sent blasts of electriity all over the place, but it must be in visible range of no more than ten feet. If the wire latches onto an opponent, he can discharge the opponent with small bursts of electricity. The wire can be cut by a strong enough weapon, but at the cost of corroding the weapon for a period of time and forcing the opponent to drop the weapon until then. The tether's ability to pull objects back is limited to Cathan's strength; obviously, he can't pull opponents towards him very well. The length of the tether is dependent on the distance between Cathan and the object he impacts, although the tether can't extend past a linear distance of more than ten feet.

Vehicle: His skateboard, I guess.
Story: A young head agent to the underground rebel group, Gregor Samsa. Cathan's father raised him by himself in an impoverished neighborhood in one of the poorest areas within the Landiel nation-states. Cathan grew up rather healthily and played a lot of sports growing up, although living in poverty caught him up with the infectious hostility of street violence. On the cusp of adolescence when Cathan was still getting ready for high school, his father was mysterious drafted off into working for the Landiel military, and Cathan hadn't seem him ever since. At the time, he didn't even know what to think; the schoolboy's father said he was going to embark on a journey to find the two a new home; needless to say, after a couple years of waiting, Cathan lost his innocence to those very words.
It was from the years of bitterness, misery, and contempt for the gentry of Landiel's society that the young boy turned to the rebel group for answers. Cathan relegated himself to a short life of submitting to the same street violence had witnessed growing up, brawling people within the Landiel underground. He had found out about Gregor Samsa seemingly on accident, when a figure he now confers as his mentor offered him a "redemptive role." The mentor had to cope with a lot of Cathan's immaturity(which was justified to say the least), although joining Gregor Samsa taught Cathan how to have the edge in combat he had so long been missing; the ability to muster positive energies in conjunction with the negative energies that coursed through his body for so long. It didn't take long for his mentor to hone Cathan's talents to channel energies within himself and discover his amazing aptitude at controlling lightning.
Cathan had since taken advantage of smuggled technologies from the technological facilities of Landiel to get a hold of bootleg weapons and enhancements exclusively through the rebel group. He attained a hold of a ball which reminded him of his old basketball and soccer days, and used that as his weapon since then. Battery implants grafted onto his body augmented the control over lightning he originally had which was already quite proficient, in addition to discovering some ofter nifty techniques he didn't think he'd have. It didn't take long for Cathan to rise up through the rebel group's ranks and be one of their leading soldiers, although his job is far from over; in fact, it was just getting started.
