Name: Nebula
Age: 6 months
Gender: Female
Race: Android
Height: 5'2
Alignment: Neutral Good
Class: Gravity Adept
Appearance:
Personality: Nebula is odd as far as androids go; in every stage of her development, she was given special treatment by her creator Jessica Kelsey, who treated her as an equal. As a result, her personality is fairly close to hers, as she is, by human standards, a fairly cheerful and trusting girl. Nebula follows what behaviors she believes are polite in the given situation. Awkward situations make the android extremely uncomfortable, making her stutter her way through sentences.
Likes: Jessica, Television, video games, flight
Dislikes: Lying, things that she has alot of difficulty understanding
Weapon: Gravity Manipulators - A pair of gravite powered gauntlets on Nebula's arms. These are technically not an actual weapon in their own right, so much as they enhance her abilities while allowing her to control them more precisely. As they are also highly armored, they are useful for blocking attacks when gravity based defenses fail.
Subweapon: Energy Channeling Hands - A weapon system that Nebula dislikes use, her hands are capable of channeling energy and firing it in the form of a laser blast, comparable to the high yield laser rifles that DKS troops
Armor: Silvrite Gravity Frame - Nebula's body is mostly composed of Silvrite, but there is also Gravite laced through specific circuits in her body. As a result, her "skin" is incredibly durable, and capable of taking a large amount of abuse. Because of her nanites, Nebula's body is self-repairing and self-sustaining, meaning even hard damage will eventually be repaired.
Physique: As a combat android with state of the art technology, Nebula's actual physique is not only impressive, she is capable of controlling it incredibly well. Nebula is capable of fighting on even ground with most other androids hand to hand, though her size disadvantage will often sabotage her. Nebula is capable of breaking Silvrite plating with her bare hands, though this is also with great effort.
Elemental Affinity: Gravity
Elemental Control: Nebula's control over gravity through a combination of a mana drive (enabling her to use magic), and gravite is natural impressive, even from a magical stand point. She is capable of using gravity with both precision and power, whether it be through dome shaped gravity wells, or directed pushes that resemble beam attacks, and are just as strong. It goes without saying that Nebula's ability to manipulate gravity is what makes her such a powerful opponent, no matter who may face her.
Attacks
Gravity Art ~ Black Hole Cannon - Drawing from the immense amount of gravite running through her body, Nebula creates an impossibly dense magical nexus, and fires it from both hands. Upon impacting into a target or surface, the mass will violently contract, then explode with incredible force. While not a true singularity, the black hole effect will kill most average enemies instantly, and only tougher opponents or those with magical protection can really survive it.
Gravity Art ~ Gravity Sword - With an expert manipulation of corrupted gravity, Nebula can create a stable gravity field in the shape of a blade. The gravitic force repels away from the edge of it, and towards the center of the blade, giving it an effect similar to that of a vibrosword. The blade is not sharp in the traditional sense, as it is the forces it creates that push atoms apart forcefully. In a sense, there is no blade, it is simply a gravitic anomaly that only Nebula can produce.
Abilities
Subdimensional Space ~ Second Skin - A present from Nebula's creator, Jessica Kelsey, Nebula's second skin is an alternate bio-organic "frame" made with the intention of allowing Nebula to have a somewhat normal life eventually. The skin is mapped to her internal systems, and replaces her normal frame entirely. While this gives her access to a sense of touch, this alternate skin roughly half of Nebula's available gravite to work with, as a good amount of it is external. Nebula can switch between this and her default frame as she pleases. Nebula can summon her gauntlets and visor while in her more human skin, increasing her power further, up to about 75% of her normal abilities.
Locked Art ~ Release Limiters - With an order from the president of Devoid, Nebula's systems overclock, DRAMATICALLY increasing her power. Cannot be used without this order.
History:
Several years after the loss of the first gravite combat android prototype, Star Collider, a scientist was put at the head of the team making the next one. It was a shock to much of the android developmental department when the scientist chosen was Jessica Kelsey, the Artificial Brain expert. Jessica had almost no experience how to build a fully functional combat android at the time, which is even more shocking. Jessica struggled with the creation of Nebula's frame at first, but eventually they realized they weren't making your average combat android.
The newly developed Mana Drive system was required to be wired directly to Nebula's AB, giving her the ability to manipulate the forces generated by gravite as if she were using magic. On top of the Mana Drive system, and one of the advanced artificial brain systems in Devoid, Nebula's frame incorporates over three times the amount of gravite used in the creation of Star Collider.
One Jessica completed Nebula, the president himself became interested in her training regiment, and
began to oversee several of her training sessions personally. He was always direct, and applauded Nebula's development whenever she figured out a new usage of manipulation of gravity. However, by and far, the person who molded who Nebula was was her primary creator, Jessica.
Jessica Kelsey and Nebula became close friends, and often spent time together outside of training; Nebula also functioned as a remarkably efficient lab assistant for the AB scientist, and their relationship became something between a cross of mother and daughter, and older sister and younger sister... which might not be too far from the truth, for Jessica. It was rumored in Jessica's team that Nebula had been modeled in response to the death of Jessica's younger sister thirteen years ago. The truth is unknown, but Nebula's little "birthday present" seems to suggest something like this might just be the case.
After destroying the rouge battleship "Ileris", Nebula finds herself doubting Devoid's intentions, as well as Jessica's, and under the care of one Winter. With Devoid's viral network now out of her systems, Nebula finds herself asking far more questions, and finds herself feeling more alive than ever before....
