Name: Yin Jingshen
Age: Unknown (appears to be in his twenties, but is believed to be at least 40)
Race: Presumably Human
Class: Monk
Appearance:
Yin is a thin and tall, but also very muscular man. His hair is orange with black streaks running through it in various places, and is braided into five very long ponytails. His eyebrows are long, but thin. He has thin eyes, and a circle beard with a pointy goatee.
Yin is usually seen topless, showing off the intricately designed tattoo of a tiger with a scorpion's tail and pincers. He wears black detached sleeves on his arms that droop somewhat, making them look like they belong on some sort of heavy robe. There are impressively drawn, swirly red lines painted onto the black sleeves, giving them a somewhat majestic appearance. His pants are similarly designed with swirling red lines over generally black leggings. He's often either seen either walking barefoot, or wearing modest sandals.
Personality:
Not much is known about Yin's personality due to his inability to speak any commonly known language in Landiel, but there are certain things that can be inferred from his behavior. He seems to respect strong warriors a great deal, always bowing after sparring with a worthy opponent (which he has done on many occasions for reasons one can only guess at). He is also apparently a kind man, despite the aggressive expression that he generally carries with him, and is known to occasionally help travelers who are low on supplies or who are in mortal danger. His motivations and goals, however, remain a mystery.
Weapon:
Hand to Hand ~ Tiger Scorpion Chi Fist: By mastering the power of chi (a specific type of body that helps give some creatures their bodily strength) and pushing his body beyond the limits of normal humans, Yin's bare fists are as deadly as even the most powerful of swords. He possesses inhuman strength, and his body is capable of striking with the power of the heaviest war hammer and the speed of a dagger. In addition, whenever Yin strikes someone, it leaves behind faint energy burns, making it obvious that his fists are augmented by some sort of energy. However, the burn is not potent enough to cause any actual damage in a fight.
While Yin's body parts can not be used to directly block certain attacks, they can be used to effectively parry them.
Subweapon: None
Abilities:
Chi Art ~ Impact Absorb/Release: Every time Yin parries or is hit with an attack, whether it injures him or not, the kinetic energy from the attack is stored within his body. If he parries an attempt to slash him along the chest with a sword, he absorbs energy from that. If someone hits him with a fireball, he absorbs energy from that. If he is hit with a powerful surge of dark energy, he absorbs the energy from that. As long as the attack has the potential to hurt him, he can absorb its force. The only exception to this is, for some reason, attacks with poison gas and similar deadly airborne substances. After absorbing the force of three attacks, he is capable of using an attack that converts the force of all the absorbed energy into blunt force. The force is then transferred to a part of Yin's body. If Yin strikes the opponent with this part of his body, it will cause incredible blunt damage, and knock the average human sized opponent 25 feet back. If the attack misses, however the attack is wasted, and he will have to wait to build up enough kinetic force to attempt to use the attack again.
Chi Martial Art ~ Ghost Fist: Even when the opponent blocks an attack via guarding/parrying with a weapon, blocking with a shield, or allowing one's heavy armor to protect him from the blow, Yin is capable transferring the force of the strike directly to the opponent's body. He does this by using chi to transfer the force from his blow to the opponent's chest or stomach. The downside to this ability is that the force can only be redirected to somewhere on the opponent's upper or middle torso area, meaning it has to hit the ribs, the breastbone, the solar plexus, or the gut, and can not damage any other part of the opponent's body.
Chi Martial Art ~ Simultaneous Five Area Vital Strike: Yin is capable of performing an attack that hits the opponent in five areas at once, provided he can land an impacting blow on the opponent's body. This performed like so: the body part which Yin plans on striking his enemy with begins to glow. Yin then hits the opponent with said body part, hard. The blow, if it lands, is strong enough to transfer chi throughout the opponent's outer body and damage five sensitive areas; the solar plexis, the throat, the middle of the spine, both sides of the opponent's ribs, and the side of the head. This will leave most opponents dazed/prone long enough to allow Yin to attack the opponent once more before regaining their ability to defend and move around. After the Five Area Vital Strike lands successfully on an opponent, he can not use it again until 5 turns later. If the attack does not land, then Yin only needs to wait for 2 turns until he can use it again, since his chi is not transferred to the opponent, and as a result, it is less exhausting for him.

Story: A mysterious martial artist from a far away land who is currently residing in Landiel. Some say that he is a demon hunter, and came because he felt a great supernatural disturbance in the area. Others say that he is a spy for whatever nationality he belongs to. And there are some who believe that he is merely a wandering warrior, looking for strong opponents. No one can answer these questions; not even Yin himself, for he doesn't speak any language known to anyone in Landiel, Regalia, or anywhere else. He simply continues to travel in silence, unable to properly communicate with anyone.
Yin is probably best known for participating in the first Steel Gate Tournament in Landiel, and fighting in the semi-finals against Treia Rivvet. The two fought for hours with neither fighter able to get the upper hand against the other. However, Yin eventually surrendered the battle by walking out of the arena. Some believe it was because he knew he couldn't beat Treia, though others speculate that he was satisfied with the battle, and therefor had no more reason to continue on with the tournament. After Treia was chosen as the victor by default, she defeated Durk Kerlo fairly quickly during the finals, and became the first ever Steel Gate Tournament Champion. Since then, Yin has not entered any more known fighting tournaments.
