Name: Landiel Steel
Appearance: Landiel infantry soldiers are generally equipped with a form-fitting suit of armor. Their armor consists of ribbed steel plates padded on top of one another, connected to the arms with a cluster of steel spikes that emerge from each shoulder. A large black sash extends from their waist to their ankles, painted in white with a symbol that resembles their insignia, the lammergeier. A red crest is grafted onto the torso area of the armor, with the symbol ofthe Landiel kingdom emblazoned into it. Their head is protected by a visored helmet that restrains their hair by protecting the back of their head and covers everything up to their nostrils for easier breathing. The visor itself is a narrow, obtuse shape, generally a dark blue color. The top of their helmets houses a small gold figurine of a lammergeier grafted on top of it.
Weapon: LM-Dragoon-0051: A standard issue matchlock rifle with a double-edged steel broadsword attached to the top, serving as a bayonet of sorts. Although the matchlock technology may be considered antequated, the heavy firepower of these rifles allowed military scientists to make use of the technology and modify it with multiple barrels. The result is a relatively heavier arquebus firearm capable of penetrating steel armor with a single clean shot, although the reload rate requires the soldiers to use it every other turn to keep the lock from overheating.
Regardless, Landiel soldiers are trained to use it very accurately and the broadsword can be detached from the bayonet port. The broadsword is roughly a few feet long and six inches wide and each edge of the blade is three inches long. Aside from the Landiel insignia branching from the hilt, there are no special properties.
Abilities:
Gutekunst Tech A: The crest of Landiel begins to glow on the soldier's armor, before flashing into a blaze in the shape of the Landiel symbol itself. Upon the activation of the crest, Landiel soldiers can use a special technique that is powered by the traces of magic flowing through the armor. The sheer force of these techniques limit their use to standard infantry soldiers to roughly every three turns, although the cooldown does not stack with the reload rate of the rifle if it was fired before; it does, however, require the rifle to be loaded.
*Dragon Shot: The energy from the crest is funnelled through the rifle into an explosive fiery blast that reveals a serpentine beam of searing heat. Close proximity to this scorching dragon-shaped blast will generally penetrate armor and leave intense burns for a few posts.
*Lion Blitz: The energy from the crest envelops the broadsword as soon as it is separated from the rifle. The soldiers gathers momentum by swinging the blade at a 270 degree angle before lunging forward and crashing the blade down upon the enemy, revealing a destructive blast of energy emerging at their feet which begins to manifest into a large head of a roaring lion before dissipating from travelling a few feet. The blast is very powerful and should not simply guarded without a shield of some sort, although this will most likely break weak to medium barriers.
Synopsis: A typical Landiel infantryman. The size and shape obviously vary, but the armor and capabilities remain the same throughout. The Landiel infantry contains efficient marksmen and are no slouch with a sword either, so they should not be underestimated.
