Name: Clara Alvez
Age: 21
Species: Half-Elf
Race: Mexican
Character Class: Gunner
Appearance:
Clara is what most consider to be a fairly attractive girl in her early 20s, a girl with a slightly round face, stunning olive-green eyes, caramel-colored skin, and slightly pointed ears with rounded edges that are synonymous with that of a half-elf. Her light brown hair is tied into a tied ponytail running slightly down past her neck, sometimes simply running down her hair in a messy mane if she forgets to tie it up. Her hoodie is rather large, almost seeming a few sizes too large for the rather small women, and usually hangs down rather humorously down her frame a little down past her waist. When she is in public, Clara usually has her headphones turned on rather obliviously, her music player stuffed in her jacket with the music at full blast.
Her clothing generally reflects the upbringing and environment she was raised in, the girl dressing casually with little fear of any repercussions her rather careless dress attire will bring. Consequentially, she generally dresses fairly light when going out into the streets for a casual stroll, or going to buy groceries, spotting a black sleeveless camisole and simple blue jeans most of the time. Over this, perhaps to protect her from getting any lecherous leers from passerby men, she sports a rather thick unzipped green hoodie with huge pockets in the front for a place to rest her arms when she needs to. On her feet, she wears simple white tennis shoes most of the time, finding any other form of footwear a rather large pain in the ass. Although she enjoys casual wear, Clara can clean up rather nicely when she needs to, owning a simple black dress at home when she requires it.
Physique:
Although Clara is not a full elf, she has a fairly slim, small frame that would would expect of an elf. Nevertheless, due to her diligence to exercise and basketball training, her body is fairly toned and in good shape. In addition to the elven blood running down her lineage, this makes her above the average male in terms of strength and speed. In addition to this, thanks to her basketball training, her vertical is much higher than average, and Clara can leap over many obstacles that ordinary people cannot. She also has an above average vision with her eyes due to her detective training, and picks up on tiny details that others pass over.
Personality:
Most mistake Clara for a quiet, reserved girl typical of an elf, due to her lack of willingness to converse with others, and her perpetual state of zen while listening to her headphones... which is almost all the time. The half-elf usually doesn't talk or even acknowledge the presence of others unless she truly wants to, preferring the solace of her music over the conversation of people. When the headphones are forced off, and she is forced to speak with other people, many find her true personality quite surprising. Raised in an environment where she had no need to pull any punches or refine her words, the half-elf is surprisingly brutal in her honesty and directness of approach. Where normal people would usually hold back, Clara bluntly delivers the cold, hard truth, no matter how painful it may be. However, this doesn't mean that Clara is insensitive. On the contrary, the half-elf is quite perceptive at reading the reactions and mood of others, and while this would allow for her to give the "right answer" to those she is speaking to, her personal values make her detest not giving the full truth to others, no matter the answer.
Thus, her personality is rather off-putting for most people, who mistake her blunt personality with that of a rather unfriendly, unsociable person. Clara is actually sociable in her own, unique way however, proved by the fact that her fellow athletes on the women's basketball team seem to have little troubles with her personality. While she doesn't exactly come off as warm, she treats the people she likes with her own, distinct style, not above mischievously quipping them with a tease or two. The half-elf is also well known to those who know her for both her biting, sarcastic remarks and sharp tongue, and quick wit. Despite her rather careless appearance most of the time, Clara could merely be called above average in intelligence, but a natural genius in logical thinking. Her mind seems to calculate scenarios requiring logic in ways that would make her a perfect detective... if she were not so lazy. Unfortunately, despite her abilities, Clara only tackles problems, and subsequently cases, that she is interested in. If a case is too mundane or ordinary for her, she rarely finds enough enthusiasm to handle it.
That being said, Clara's natural disinterest in almost everything veils her true passion; finding the truth. For her, nothing is more sacred than the truth, and nothing is more abhorrent than a lie. To her, the belief that the truth is always better than a lie, is not naive in the slightest. Just like how her mind views everything around her, it is merely fact.
Grades:
Although she doesn't look like the part, Clara's grades are all fairly high, in the "A-B+" range. The only exception is in Writing Fiction, in which she seemingly has little interest in.

Weapon:
Truth and Lies: A pair of twin revolver's known as Colt Detective Specials, modified to fit Clara's liking. The Detective Specials, although they resemble typical revolvers up to a point, have a small, cut-off barrel that is referred as a snub-nose. Although this lowers the firing power of the revolver, makes them smaller, and much more ideal for tucking them both in her hoodie without much difficulty. Additionally, the revolvers have gone through personal modifications to fit Clara's liking. Both revolvers are fitted to fire larger .45 caliber rounds, making up for the snub nose barrel with additional firing power, albeit at the cost of making the revolver's slightly heavier. Both revolvers are entirely identical, however, Truth is painted a lustrous white silver, with a soft black grip on the wooden handle. In contrast, Lies is a smooth black sheen, except for a similar white grip on its handle. While the revolvers have no other additional property, Clara's mother, as a full elf, enchanted the two weapons to have an additional effect. If Clara asks a question and is answered truthfully, Truth will glow a soft white and fire a transparent round that merely passes through everything it touches. If a lie is told, Lies will glow a dim black and will fire a dark black round that hits like a regular bullet would. Although this is the sole ability of her revolvers, Clara uses them the most because of their reliability.
Subweapon:
"La Brecha": Although her magical ability isn't quite as high as her mother's due to her half-human lineage, in times of dire need, Clara can invoke an ability that is less an attribute of her pistols, and more of a result of her own talent. By holding the two revolvers side by side, Clara can converge them into a single weapon known as La Brecha, The Divide. La Brecha is a revolver twice the size of both Truth and Lies, with a much longer barrel than the snub-noses, and a peculiar design for a revolver. Although the shape is similar to that of a much larger version of her original revolvers, one side is painted with the same sheen of Truth, while the other is a cool black, resembling Lies. Additionally, where the cartridge for loading bullets should be, is a peculiar, tiny compact mirror on its side, capable of spinning around similar to that of a rotating mirror. La Brecha fires grey energy blasts the equivalent of a powerful .50 cartridge bullet, shattering even solid rock and piercing steel. The overwhelming firepower of the revolver is enough to combat even armored enemies, although the consequence for such munitions is a heavy recoil, preventing her from firing multiple times in succession. In addition to this, each shot of the revolver drains Clara's mana reserves moderately. While as a half-elf, she has above average mana capacity, at the same time, Clara is not adept at controlling her mana to its fullest. As a result, her capacity with the revolver is around 3 shots. With each shot, the mirror on the revolver will crack slightly, and finally shatter with the last shot. If it shatters, the revolver will revert back to its original form, and Clara will be considerably more taxed.
Element: Earth
Abilities:
Corpse Scrying: A unique ability belonging to only two people in the world, Clara and her father. By physically touching a dead corpse, regardless of how long it has been dead, Clara can achieve a sort of "precognition of the past". Once Clara has touched the corpse of the victim, she can see up to five minutes before the end of that person's life, although she cannot interfere with it. In short, Clara has the ability to see the moment of a person's death in its entirety, regardless of how long the person has died. Although the ability doesn't aid one in battle very much, it is an enormously useful ability for a detective in a homicide case, as it theoretically would enable Clara to identify the killer instantly. To a limited extent, this ability also works on dead spirits, although the extent where she can retrace their death is much more limited, if she can even see it at all. Spirits of heroes will be almost impossible to scry, due to the complex and debatable nature of their deaths.
El Teteoin - Mirror Shield of the Earth: Clara's ultimate defensive shield, and a high-level earth magic defensive ability taught to her by her father. By channeling most of her mana into the earth beneath her feet into the shape of a shield, Clara can attempt to summon El Teteoin, the mirror shield. If she is successful, then a gargantuan 25x20 oval disc made of rock will erupt in front of her, hovering and rotating slowly. The middle of the rock shield will slowly chip away, revealing a mirror embedded into the rock shield that is essentially a materialization of her mana. Thus, it is logical to say that the more mana placed into the shield, the stronger the mirror shield will be. However, due to the inordinate amount of mana needed to even summon the shield in the first place, Clara is usually forced to place all of her energy into the shield to do so, making it a last resort for her in almost all cases. Additionally, the process for calling the mirror shield out is fairly complex, and Clara has failed more than once in her attempts to summon it. However, when it is summoned, it is the ultimate deterrent to most attacks. At Clara's maximum output, it will deflect a majority of physical attacks that would outright kill her several times over, and completely reflect most energy based attacks back at the attacker. Additionally, the mirror shield has an interesting property. Whoever looks into the shield will see their true selves in the mirror, regardless of what kind of emotional facade they have put up. If a coward who bullies others to seem tougher looks into the shield, he will see a coward. Furthermore, all physical disguises and forms are useless in front of the mirror, which will reflect the original form of the user no matter what. Although the defensive ability of the shield and these properties make it seem like a perfect defense, it is worth noting that Clara's inexperience and small mana supply means that she will be exhausted after one shot. The shield will last around 1-2 posts, depending on how much mana Clara puts into it.
Arbitrator Bullets: A follow-up to the ability of Truth and Lies. If Clara asks a question and the opposing person lies, then a black bullet will be fired, which resembles a normal bullet. However, if this bullet connects, then an unusual tattoo will be branded at the point of impact. The tattoo is of a black-and-white snake in the shape of an "S", with the top side white, and the bottom side black. A line splits the snake in half, exactly where the white and black separate. This tattoo is essentially a time bomb, after it appears, it will "detonate" in exactly three RP turns. As it counts down, the snake tattoo will literally move down the part of the body that it hits, rendering that part temporarily paralyzed while the tattoo is active. When the tattoo detonates, a conflagration of white and black energies will swirl about the part of the body that the tattoo is on for a few seconds, before collapsing inwards in a brilliant explosion of mana large enough to blow an arm off. However, the countdown can be halted altogether in a simple way. If the opponent answers truthfully to the question answered before, the snake tattoo will fade away quickly. If Clara asks the question again and is again given a lie, then the countdown will decrease by one turn.
Money: Unfortunately, most of the money Clara had went into paying for the school year alone. The rest went into the high-tech detective gadgets that she couldn't resist buying. It seems instant noodles will become a staple...
Items: Clara's dorm room contains the following items, which she occasionally takes with her for detective work:
-Laptop
-Small collection of detective novels and stories
-Most seasons of Rule and Order
-Pen Microphone: A tiny silver ballpoint pen that, when clicked, actually acts as a discrete, sensitive and high quality microphone.
-Rangefinder EX Binoculars: Clara’s pride and joy. The Rangefinder can see up to a range of 1500 meters, and is equipped with zoom, night vision and infrared and thermal.
-GPS Tracking Chip: A tiny chip that can be tracked to almost any location on her laptop. It is the size a shape of a small pebble, with a few small prongs that are sharp enough to stick to clothing.
-Night Vision Tracking Camera: Attached (somewhat illegally) near the front of their door, for what Clara believes to be security purposes. She has another one near the window, overlooking the campus.
-Reverse Peephole Viewer: Designed to un-distort the convex mirror of a peephole, enabling Clara to see through dorm room peepholes. It looks like a small scope that she can grasp with her hand.
-Fingerprint Dusting Powder: When dusted on a surface, residue from fingers, which Clara can test with other fingerprints for a match.
-Watch Camera: Although it looks like a rather cheap, black digital watch with the time displayed in green, there is a tiny pinhole above the time that acts as a camera. The feed from this camera is linked to Clara’s laptop.
Vehicle: None. However, she does have a license.
