-Eternity-
It was so boring. Everything was still dark, or the crystal cave it resided in. But Gurren's ears were still Eternity's ears. It could still hear everything that was going on. And quite frankly... it was curious now that it had been brought up.
"What about me now?" That innocent voice sounded in Raiga's head, "I still can't reach that boy... but there are blurry images. Yay, progress!"
Eternity certainly sounded happy with itself...

...Aire had a point. She deserved something, after all of this.
Yuro placed his hand on Lea's shoulder. It was strange. He felt as if he was sticking his hand into a block of gelatin. But even so, he could tell from that touch that she was alive.
"We're gonna get through this. Okay?"
Yuro gave her a smile of reassurance despite his own discomfort. She needed this right now.

-Lea-
It was funny... her body had been so cold before, but now, she could feel herself warming up... It wasn't actually a hug, but she'd take it. It was reassuring. It helped. Just like when Raiga had done it before.
"... Th-thanks Yuro." The moment was kinda interrupted by a small "d'aw" from the laptop, probably from Sorel... though, that did remind her. Sorel and Aire were living together in Malen... so, wait. Hold on... did that mean...
"So... Aire, how are things going for you and Sorel? You lovebirds doing okay?" Dead silence. Sorel burst into hysertical laughter as Aire's pale face turned bright red.
"Oh I so do not even remotely like this guy! He's just my personal whipping boy for forever!" Sorel could only laugh harder, as a small smile crept across Lea's face. This was certainly a different side of Sorel than she remembered, but it was kinda interesting. Refreshing, even. Sorel just thought it was fucking hilarious, though.
-Aire-
Of all the things she could say... Aire could only hope that Sorel wouldn't make it wors-
"Kyehehe... Aire... Aire... that totally... makes it sound like we're already married! Bwahaha!!"
"....." He did. He totally did. It was all she could do to not strangle him. Aire just buried her face in her hand, splitting her fingers enough to see the screen still.
"So... this idiot aside... what happened to you, Lea?"
"... You'll probably find out in a bit when I tell the story. I'd rather not repeat it more than I have to, okay?" A really dark expression formed on Lea's face, and it was clear that she really wasn't looking forward to talking about it.

The door to Yuro's room opened slowly as the lamia checked in on Yuro and his friend. "Hello? Lea? My name is Solala Vrak. I'm from-... well, I'm from what's left of the Grand Divide Department of Intelligence." Even an agent like Solala was still shaken up by the state of everything, and now she found a girl with a very unique and disturbing case in her apartment. Solala was beginning to question just how much more drama she could handle. "Raiga told me that you have been assaulted, and... well, I was wondering if you were ready for me to take your statement. If you're not, take you're time. I'll be waiting out here for you." Solala slowly closed the door again, and coiled up on the cushion by the coffee table, adjacent to Raiga.

Everyone seemed to be encouraging Lea to tell them all about herself. Honestly, if Yuro were in her position, he likely wouldn't have. Not yet anyway. But maybe she was stronger than him, or maybe her circumstances were simply different than his own.
"You can tell us when you're ready," he said to her. "There's no reason for you to rush something like this."

-Lea-
"Thanks Yuro, but I need to do this." Lea got up, and was about to head out the door when Aire spoke up from the computer.
"Ahem."
"Oh, right... Yuro, could you bring that with us? They should hear too, while we're at it." The slime girl rested her hand on the handle of the door, closing her eyes for a moment, "Even if these guys are beyond the authorities... I don't want them to get away with this." Yuro quietly sighed, picking up his laptop, and carrying it while open.
The two, as well as their pair of computer borne guests, made their way to the living room, sitting across from Raiga and Solala. She had to admit, the apartment was pretty damn nice. However, she cleared these thoughts from her head, and prepared to tell her story. It was easier this time, but that was mainly because she'd had a little time to mentally prepare how she wanted to tell it.
BGM: Lakes and Marshes with Doubt
She recounted everything. Her last normal day of school, to when she'd been kidnapped. Her encounter with Kross, Boa, and the servants Adonis and Heather. She recounted everything, anything she thought would help. The details of her transformation, the things that Kross and Boa had said, her escape, the assistance she had received from Heather, and the encounter she had had with Boa. But by the end of her explanation, her chest, her... "core", as she felt it was, felt tight. She had even gone out of her way to describe how Boa and Kross looked.
"... That's everything. J-just like I told Raiga."
Yuro had sat down with the laptop in his lap, Aire and Sorel's faces pale with shock. And another person, who had come in behind them, not able to resist listening in the conversation apparently. However, that was the least important part of this... the real question was how would Solala and Malik react?

Solala could only hold herself together as she recorded Lea's statement. From the frightening details of her transformation to her treatment from her captors. Solala found herself slowly slithering behind Lea, before holding her tightly from behind.
"By the gods. I'm so sorry, Lea. That you... No one should have to experience what you went through." Solala hugged Lea until her blue shirt was stained red. She didn't care. Malik placed breakfast out on the kitchen table before coming over to sit beside Raiga.
"...You're a brave girl, Lea. A lot of people would have just given up hope," Malik spoke up. Raiga simply sat where he was, and nodded toward Lea.
"You did very well, Lea," Raiga added. "Special Agent Vrak is a very passionate operative. You can be sure that she will do everything in her power to assist you. Your statement is more important than you know."

-Lea-
"... um." She was kinda shocked, actually. This stranger, someone who she barely knew, was giving her one of the longest, and hardest hugs she had ever gotten in her life. She was just kinda shocked that someone cared this much.
"Th-thanks.... "
"Wow... that's really scary. People actually do that to other people...?" An unfamiliar voice came from the computer screen, almost making Lea jump out of her chair. There was another woman behind Aire and Sorel; she had a long scar down one side of her face, and her light blue hair framed her face pretty well. Aside from the scar, she was pretty, Lea though. Kinda like Aire, but she looked like she took care of herself better... yeah. It had to be her mom.
"M-MOM!?" She was panicking on screen... clearly, she had eavesdropped on the conversation, "M-Mom, isn't it kinda rude to listen in on people's convos!?"
"Its not like I could help hearing those thing, Aire. They were kind of... shocking." Lea silently agreed. Which was why it was exceptionally awkward when Aire's mom addressed her again. There was something kinda strange about her too, though since she was further away, she couldn't really tell.
".... Lea, dear. I heard most of your story, so... I have to ask. What are you going to do now? Where are you going to stay?" ... Mrs. Leerhart's question did make her wonder. Aire and Sorel glanced at each other, not quite sure what to say. Lea would have said something to the effect of being homeless now, but... the prospect of leading Boa, possibly even Kross, to more people that they could, and probably would make their victims...
"... I don't know. I don't want to get anyone hurt..." She remembered Boa's threats. All too well.

Who...Why?
Who would do that? What could possibly justify those actions in anyone's mind?
"That's....That's unforgivable. I'm sorry."
Yuro didn't want to pretend to understand all of it, but he understood the parts that mattered. His mom had always taught him that there was a point when an action can no longer be justified by any reason whatsoever. An action that is, at its core, evil, and can't be excused.
"That's wrong! Things like this shouldn't be happening to us!"
Us, he said. Aire, Lea, and even himself in a way. Sure, he wasn't mutated at all, like they had been, but at the heart of it, their situations were the same. They had lost everything, either directly or indirectly because of that damn attack.
It all made Yuro burn up inside. So hot. So burning hot.
Burning...Burning...BURNING! His throat was burning!
Yuro grasped at his throat, confused at what was going on. His body felt like a furnace that was burning way more than it should have been. He could feel himself breaking apart as he gasped for air.
...And then it just stopped. It'd disappeared as quickly as it came, and, physically, he felt fine again. His throat still hurt a bit, but the heat inside of him was gone. Yuro realized his hand was still on his throat, and quickly placed it back on his lap, trying not to take the attention away from Lea. He'd hoped that no one noticed.

Yuro's hope would go unfulfilled, as Raiga no Kyuu felt the sudden surge that Yuro experienced. "Are you okay, Yuro Maculn? There is no need to shy away. After all, you are as much a topic of discussion as Lea Zeal." Solala gave Lea a tight squeeze before letting go, and returning to her cushion.
"He's right, Yuro," Solala added. "Raiga told me you used to have a... necklace with a crystal shard. Is that true? Do you remember what happened to it?" Raiga knew there was little point in asking. He could feel the shard inside him and how it distorted the flow of life around them. However, he was also aware that Yuro was exceedingly sensitive. He remained quiet and allowed Solala to ask her questions.

-Lea-
Secretly, Lea wanted to thank Yuro for such a passionate outburst. Though he wasn't much more than an acquaintance, there was a sort of kindred spirit, or perhaps a likeness, in their situations. But that thought was cut off by him grasping his throat, and for a moment, he looked like he was in pain.
Lea would have said something, but Solala's question to Yuro made her wonder... had Yuro been wearing a necklace before...? She could remember something like that. Vaguely. It... kind of made her feel a bit guilty that she had never paid any attention to him before, actually.
"Dammit, I can't see. What happened? Yuro, you okay?" Aire spoke up from the laptop... the fact that Yuro had it pointed away from him on his lap didn't help matters.
"... He looks fine right now, I guess?" Lea knew she didn't look good at all, being a human shaped blob of red goo, but Yuro... there was something depressing, and familiar about him at the same time. Something she could identify with, all the same.
-Eternity-
"I... wonder if he can hear me yet?" So much darkness, even still. But still, sometimes, there was something. A blur, or a less than familiar voice.
Eternity tried reaching out to Yuro Maculn yet again, in a very simple way.
"Hello?" It was more likely than not that the crystal would react with its original, but now...?

His attempt to hide it failed miserably. Now everyone in the room was worried about him. He didn't want to steal the attention from Lea. She was the one who needed affection right now. Not him.
When Solala mentioned the necklace, Yuro shook his head. He didn't want to think about it. It was the last thing he had to remember his mom by, and it was gone when he woke up at the inn. Yuro assumed that he'd dropped it during all the chaos. What else could have happened to it?
Yuro continued to listen to the various concerned voices. Aire, Solala...But, there was one among them that he didn't recognize. The voice was strange. He couldn't tell where it came from, but he heard it loud and clear.
"Hello?"
"...Hello?" Yuro said back.

Solala looked at Yuro confusedly as he seemed to address a person who wasn't there. "Special Agent, allow me to take over. This is beyond your expertise," Raiga spoke up. "Yuro Maculn, I'm not sure when it happened, but the crystal shard from your mother's necklace is embedded into your body now. And now it is calling to you. It is desperate to be heard by you. With that said, now that it is inside your body, there is no telling what changes will happen to you."

-Lea-
"... changes?" It may have just been her, but that word meant very bad things to her now. But something calling to him...? Well, it was clear there were things that Lea had no idea about, and... judging from where this was going, there wasn't much she could say.
Of course, that would have to wait, as her hands had fused into her legs, leaving her thoroughly confused about how her body felt things once more. Really, though, there was something off about Yuro's appearance now that she thought about it. She couldn't really place it, but it... might have been his hair? Perhaps?
-Eternity-
"Excellent! You can hear me! But, uh, you might not want to talk to me out loud. It makes people think you're a touch wacky." The connection had taken long enough. All that was left now was for everything that followed... The child-like voice was ringing more clearly with every syllable, Yuro mind somehow processing it properly while listening to Raiga at the same time.
Eternity could borrow Yuro's eyes to see the world, finally. It was painless, and he wouldn't even know when Eternity was seeing what he saw.
"So... that's what Gurren looks like now... huh. By the way, I'm Eternity, Yuro. I'm sorta like...."
Well, that was a different thing to explain entirely; saying something like God was always full of awkwardness.
"...I'm, well... the core of Kyril."
However, Eternity did have a worry... a worry it had never had before because it had never happened before; fragments of Eternity never went inside people before now. Truthfully, it had no idea how that would end up.

Yuro struggled to comprehend all of the new information he was receiving. This voice, this feminine voice that Yuro could have sworn was appropriate for a young human girl, was the shard? Mom's shard?
It all equated to gibberish. He had no context for any of new things he was learning, and therefor, had no way to understand it. Yuro struggled to try and figure at least some of it out.
He thought about what the voice said a moment ago. About not needing to speak aloud. How else could he speak? There was an idea that occurred to him once he remembered what Raiga said about the shard being inside of him. It was a wild guess, but he wondered if that meant this thing could read his thoughts.
Yuro took several slow, deep breaths in order to try and calm himself down, but he couldn't rid himself his fear of the unknown. Accepting this, he tried hard to focus his thoughts into words.
"Can you hear what I'm thinking? I don't know what's going on, and I'm real close to panicking right now!"
