"What the-!?" Byakutora quickly covered his mouth and shut his eyes. He knew better than to inhale this mysterious mist, and he frantically swung his sword in an attempt to use the flat of his large sword as a fan to blow away the red mist. 'That asshole! The hell does he think he's doing!?' Suddenly, the air around him began to heat up, and the mist around him raised up a bit. He could feel the dampness of the air rising up his chest, and he quickly dropped to the ground, desperate for air. He had no idea what had just happened, but he blessed his fortune, and cursed Alen.
JX City ~ Southern Market - 11:22 AM
After dropping the equipment off at Raiga's home, Raiga and Chingo made a dash back to the main portion of southern JX City. She didn't even bother explaining anything to him, she expected him to follow her. She quickly made her way up the the roofs of the buildings, with Chingo struggling to keep up with her. She was fast, and didn't even offer a hint of being tired. Her breathing was exactly as if she was standing. Raiga leapt across the tops of the buildings, forcing Chingo to do the same. More and more, Chingo was losing Raiga, until she finally stopped several yards behind an aged man in tan robes.
"Youuu..." she slowly let out. She stood there briefly, collecting herself. "To think that I blew fifteen years of my life over your sorry ass, just to find you here, of all places." To one's surprise, Raiga was visibly shaking. It was him. She knew it was him. A legendary hero who vanished 15 years ago. Her dear friend who vanished 15 years ago. The man that she spent six years searching for, and another nine crawling under the earth, beaten and battered from an unfortunate encounter resulting from her search. She had known for awhile that he was still alive, but never did she think she would actually see him again, at least not so soon after overcoming her own predicament. "Well? Don't you have something to say for yourself? Xerxes Arta?"

Jardin del Vicio ~ Tadara Blvd - 12:44
Georgia winced as he was showered in what appeared to be a mist of blood. Rather than stagger back in pain, or risk giving himself an opening of any sort, it seemed that he simply decided to switch plans.
"Fine, then." Alen could hear being muttered if he listened closely enough.
Again, like a grasshopper, he leaped over Alen at a pace faster than Alen could run, even if he sprinted. In but a split second, he was above Alen, attempting to perform a shin kick to the archer's left temple. If Alen was quick enough, in theory, he could dodge it. But at this point, Alen should have known that this couldn't have been what it seemed. The Administrator, if nothing else, was clever. He had earlier succeeded in causing Alen to waste his ammo by trying to pierce him with an arrow. If nothing else, this Georgia character was clever. There had to be more to this attack.

Abandoned House ~ Outside - 12:42 PM
Shortly after Inferno and Yeshua made it outside, Rean Aire, her friends, and Zemna followed suit. Mosharu, having made it outside first, was already talking to someone unexpected. It appeared that Oz and several of the other Quetzalcoatl gang members had come to pay the group a visit. Zemna approached the man with the pompadour and proceeded to question him. Mosharu simply stood aside, allowing him to do whatever he wanted with the biker.
"Has Tokromar picked up on it yet?" The Ramia asked the biker.
"Yeah. He sent us here to get you guys outta the city. Bad sh**'s about to go down."
Zemna turned to face the other members of the team. He imagined that others must not have had a clue as to what was going on, so he decided to explain the circumstances to them.
"Okay, here's the deal. There's something...Evil, headed this. Headed to this city. You guys need to leave the city before it gets here."
Rean was very visibly upset about Zemna's order. More than anything else, he wanted to leave Jardin del Vicio, but he didn't want to leave a job half-finished. In the time that he had spent with this group, he'd learned that sometimes it's simply more important and take care of your responsibilities than put your own hide first. It was the excuse he'd given Vastion in order to convince him to stick with the group. He wasn't about to just run away from the situation, no matter how dangerous it was going to get.
"Zemna, we've been able to absolutely pulverize the asses of pretty much everyone we've met so far. I don't thin-"
"This is different, Rean!....So far, we've fought only people. This thing headed our way....It isn't a person. It's a force. You can't stab it with a knife, and you can't hit it with a hammer. It shows up, and it mangles you. It twists your mind like a wet towel, and drains you of your sanity."
"Wait, scales. So you're saying that this 'thing' headed our way isn't like anything we've faced before."
"No. Not at all. I'm sorry, kid, but there's no time to explain. These guys can get you out of here before it gets here. I have to stay behind and break up the fight between these two knuckleheads here, but the rest of you need to leave."
It was up to the group to decide if they wanted to stay or leave, as much as Zemna hated to admit it. If they didn't want to leave, there was nothing he could do about it.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Jardin del Vicio ~ Abandoned House - Rooftop - 12:42 PM
Vastion managed to avoid taking damage from the orb of lighting by rolling to the side. It was a close call. That orb Krizno moved by fast. He wasn't sure that he could dodge many more of them without obtaining at least minor injuries.
"Even if that were the case. If some people really do need to die....I still wouldn't go through with it. I have to uphold master Xerxes' teachings. To do otherwise would be to disgrace his name."
Vastion's brow sharpe
For years, he'd been living his life, trying his best to follow the code that his master set for him.
Xerxes meant everything to him. He was his guide in life. His savior. His mentor. He hardly even understood what friendship was, but he knew that Xerxes was one. He was probably the only he ever had. The only one he ever will have.
These teachings were all he had left of him. It was his only memento of him.
"These teachings are what I live for!!!"
For the very first time since the two had met, Vastion looked truly angry.
It only to a quarter of a second for Vastion to get into close range with Krizno. Putting every amount of force he could manage behind it, he swung Savior at Krizno's axe, hoping the the force from the impact would be enough to disarm the demon. Meanwhile, he attempted to charge-stab Krizno in his right ribs. It was reasonable to assume that if either of the attacks hit, it would create an explosion, which would be very, very bad for Krizno's health.
----------------------------------------------------
JX City ~ Southern Market - 11:22 AM
"You always were stubborn. That's one thing we both have in common, I guess."
Xerxes turned to face his old friend. He didn't need to see her face to know who she was, but he wanted to see it anyway. It had been a long time. He wanted to know if she still carried the same, aggressive posture she always did. He was not disappointed. Even so, however, he couldn't help be haunted by a sense of looming guilt.
"I think you already know that that there's nothing I can say to justify myself, Veronica. It was my fault it turned out this way. I won't make any excuses."
Xerxes waited for Raiga's inevitable shock to kick in. He knew that the aging of his body would at the very least startle her. There was no reason why it wouldn't. Fifteen years ago, he looked to be in his thirties. Now, he an old man.

Aire
.... I'm pretty surely all of us rushed outside after that place began to cave in. Altair had silently help Lili get back up the ladder, with me and Lucii helping her up. Was... Krizno really that angry with me for what I had said?
"Some people should just die! If you refuse to acknowledge such a basic truth then you do not deserve to hold any sort of weapon!"
Even as I heard these words, knew they were being directed at that rat man... I felt like they were nailing me in the head as well. It was all I could do to prevent myself from jumping in and taking Vastion's side.
"... great, now we're just wasting time." Lucii muttered to herself behind me, "...these two dumbasses wanna fight in the middle of southern Jardin, really? This is probably the worst place for that sorta shit." I couldn't disagree with her; all the noise was likely going to attract alot of attention... then again, I was less worried about that, and more worried about why Lili was suddenly in front of me.
"Uh.... Lili, what are you doing...?"
"I-I... didn't like the way that guy looked at you when he said that... I think h-he really meant it." ... I almost felt sorry that I had helped bring her back to this world, in this, of all places. To experience these things at such a young age? Hell, I wouldn't want to. But she was making her own called here, and... hell, I can't deny that her caring this much made be feel really good inside. So, for the time being, I would watch. If Krizno was about to kill Vastion, I would jump in to help, and if Krizno was going to lose...
".....dammit, Aire. Why do you have to make so much sense sometimes." Hmm? DId I hear something from Altair? Nah, it musta just been my imagination... And then Zemna spoke up, and Oz showed up outta nowhere. I had to admit, this sorta thing sidetracked me like nothing else. But when I heard what they were talking about... yeah, a sanity draining force. Not exactly something I really wanted right now.
"Yeah, I have shit for sanity as it is. I'm all for bailing." No way in hell was I going to lose it, not with my sister around... I didn't even want to know what it would be like if Altair went insane, as much firepower as he had in his coat ....he would level half the damn city.
"... if I'm reading you right, there's nothing we can do." Lucii stared at Zemna, the fire in her eyes quite literally dimmed. Somehow, I guess she had really, truly wanted to help out this city... but whatever this was... I would just take the ancient lizard man's advice on this one. Seemed like she would too, no matter how much she didn't like it. I stared at Krizno and Vastion's fight in silence amidst all this, and did the only thing that seemed absolutely infallible at the time, the one thing that seemed logical beyond all other things.
I raised my middle finger, and flipped off Krizno.

"Eh?" I was confused; the question just came flyin out of left field, and I didn't really know what to make of it, "What do you mean we have to talk about my weird as all hell mom?" I really didn't know what Darien was thinking; I mean, If I wanted to talk about mom, then I would be ranting constantly about how irresponsible she was towards me, or something like that. How she had made herself a freaking android for another thing.
"I dunno, Darien.... If you're thinking what I think you're thinking, then I doubt it. Seline is alot of things that piss me off, but she's not that." Miriam was confusing me now too! What the hell was it with you people!? GAH!

Krizno growled in anger as he slid to his left, ducking under the strike to his ax and managing to barely avoid the stab to his right ribs. "If that is the case, then your very reason for living is childish and naive. A reason like that is as strong as a twig!"
He then quickly took a step towards Vastion and created a Lightning Wall right under his feet. "And you shall be snapped like one!" He knew that he was not as physically strong as Vastion, so he would have to avoid doing any sort of attack that could result in a physical contest of strength. He hoped his wall would cause some kind of damage. Dodging it would be extremely difficult because of how quickly lightning moved. Vastion would need to move as quickly as he possibly could in order to avoid it.

Aku had gained his breath again. He kept his body low, to stay under the mist, and then... He felt something in his veins. His heart was having trouble beating, and his lungs were gaining less and less oxygen. "W-what... the... uh... AHH!!!" Alen's antigens were coursing through his veins and clotting his blood. Many of his blood vessels were becoming blocked, and fragments of coagulated blood were bombarding arterial walls, threatening to rupture his major vessels. Some how, his blood was beginning to thin, slowing the progression of the clotting, but it wasn't enough. If someone didn't help him soon, he was going to die.
JX City ~ Southern Market - 11:22 AM
Raiga was taken aback by Xerxes's sudden change in appearance. She knew Xerxes was old in actuality, but he had never looked so aged before. At the same time, though, she had also gained several years to her appearance since her ill fated encounter. "...Well, at least I'm not the only one who's aged like a- oh fuck it!" In a surprising display of emotion, Veronica tackled Xerxes, crying into his robes. It was him. After so many years she had finally found him. Her stoicism and collectedness crumbled in the breast of her best friend, leaving Chingo lost and bewildered. However, he couldn't bring himself to say anything, both out of respect for her emotional reunion with whoever this Xerxes was, and also out of fear for the consequences of interrupting her. After a minute or ten, Veronica had stopped herself from crying, but found she could not let go of him. She continued to hug him, even though she was a little too embarrassed to look him in the eye just yet. She kept her cheek pressed tight against his abs as she continued to pull herself together. "*sniff* You jackass... where have you been? ... I've been looking for you for so long. What happened?" Even while exasperated, Veronica's breathing was smooth, and rhythmic. Veronica then became aware of the absence of someone. Someone important to Xerxes. She pushed herself slightly away from his chest so she could lock eyes with him. "Where's Vastion?"

"Stupid swordsman...way to not think ahead."Alen muttered very faintly under his breath. The trickery of the businessman above him was becoming, on the other hand, obvious. There was always some gimmick to his moves, like the typical politician and his contemporaries in Ankaa society. If there was anything to this man, it was that he tested Alen's creativity. Nothing more, nothing less. All Alen had to do was wear this silly man in a suit out just like he did with the mist, and all will come to a close.
After the mist was released, the pain in Alen's arm had thinned out. He could just dodge the kick, but he had a feeling there really was another gimmick than just idiotically diving at the archer. Alen decided to play along with Georgia's little game and attempt to dodge the attack, but not without giving Georgia something to deal with. With the same instinctive reflexes that Alen was used to, the archer snagged a barbed arrow out of his quiver and, with the most nocking he could do in less than second, shot the arrow outward at Georgia's descending foot and immediately somersaulted back into the air.
The opposing force and power behind this barbed arrow would be truly nonsensical for this businessman, whose foot dived linearly and momentously downward, to deflect, but chances are he had a blade hidden under his foot. Alen had the best intentions of exposing every weak gimmick out of Georgia like candy from a pinata.

Artura - Miriam's Apartment ~ 7:26
"..." Darien shifted uncomfortably in his seat, feeling everyone's stares on him bear down on his mind. It wasn't pleasant thinking about these things, he had always tried to look at the most optimistic solution or outcome to any problem. It was naive, but it was a lot less troubling then the alternative. In this situation though, with the past events in his mind, what had happened before was so perfectly timed...
Flashback
She was hiding something, in her tone and face. Darien has seen it clearly, and now the timing of the ambush just moments of leaving the office seemed to pester his mind no matter how hard he had tried to tell himself it was simply coincidence. Yeah, that's right... just coincidence timed perfectly with everything. The security had gone off just moments after the ambush had been launched. Darien wasn't a cynical person, but it was all just so suspicious for his tastes, so bitterly too coincidental in the end...
Darien sighed, trying to avert Eleris' eyes and look at Miriam, who seemed to answer what he had implied. Her skeptical tone shared his personal feelings on the matter himself, but... "That ambush. After we left, and she had us leave in a hurry... the security went off, and we were ambushed. I'm sorry Eleris... but it's just so big of a coincidence, I don't know what to believe." He muttered, an apologetic tone evident as he addressed the two. Claire nodded, she had been thinking of the event herself after they had woken up. The timing and convenience of the men to ambush them at that moment meant that they had outside help.
"I don't want to sound..." Darien's voice trailed, sighing again as he struggled to find the right word to convey his thoughts. "...insensitive. But do you think that she had something to do with-"
Wait a second... the ambush was largely led by someone rather close to them. Darien's eyes widened, looking at "Subject A" next to them, who was happily feeding on the blood pack. "The ambush..." he finished, Claire's eyes also widening in realization.

The barbed arrow went straight through Georgia foot. However, Alen should have noticed a scraping sound, and the glimmer of light shining through Georgia's torn pant-leg. The arrow ripped off a small part of the bottom of his pants, revealing that there was something attached to his legs, underneath the garments.
A few milliseconds after he was hit, he fell to the ground like a brick. SHARD tried to take advantage of his fall by firing a small beam of ice out of a large cannon that materialized on its shoulder, but it missed. There should have been no doubt in anyone's mind that he could somehow control his own weight.
The ground underneath him cracked as Georgia landed. For a moment, he forced to his knees, unable to stand up on his own right foot. However, he managed to eventually lift himself up with his left leg alone, and turned to Alen.
"Only two other people have been able to bypass my defenses in seventy years....I knew you were different, Alen."
Georgia made no attempts to attack just yet, instead, deciding to jabber on about Alen as if he was some sort of rare, exotic animal. As he spoke, he wiped the blood from his eyes. They seemed less soulless now; there was an expression to go with his gaze. Georgia was known for having a constant poker face. Was fighting with Alen really such an intense experience that it was worth him breaking one of his most signature traits?
"We've met before. Or rather, I've met you. Every time you've entered this city, you've brought that....smell with you. It is the sent of barbarian. Ever since your first visit to this city, you've done nothing but spread the influence of your chaotic life....A barbarian is unpredictable. He acts on instinct, not tact. You're...difficult to predict, to say the least."
"....That's why you kidnapped Alen isn't it? You wanted to get to know the man who was your parallel."
"You're a smart man, Walther. Smarter than I am. If that contraption of yours wasn't still a prototype, you'd likely have did me in by now....Yes, I requested Tercero to arrange a series of incidents that would land Alen in my custody. It's not so far-fetched compared to most of the things you've done."
Georgia turned his attention against Alen once again.
"It's fairly clear that if I continue fighting like this, I'll lose. Well, then, I guess it's time to switch weapons. Let's you handle this, you renegade!!"
Three armed helicopters rose from behind the building. Without warning, each chopper targeted a member of Walther's team and began firing. Each one had a missile launcher and a mounted heavy machine gun, which they fired simultaneously at each person. If there was a time to move quickly, now was it.

"....Thanks, scales, but no thanks. I said I wanted to leave JdV, but I never wanted to leave like this. Leaving like this...It's a jip. A sneaky, backstabbing, jip. I'm not gonna let some omnipotent force stand in the way of my club and Xipe's bare, white ass."
Rean, remarkably, remained unphazed at the idea that something unstoppable was headed this way. It went beyond bravery. It was just plain stupid.
"We know where that CEO's headed. This is my one chance to be a big to help this city. I'm tired of just being a good Samaritan. I want to do something that'll last for sure. Something that'll tell Xipe they can't piss on this city anymore.....I need borrow one of those bikes."
"Kid, I understand what you're going through. There was a point a long time ago when I had a chance to save a lot of people, but it wasn't worth the risks. There isn't much of a chance that you'll come out of it alive."
"The chance to prevent Xipe from starting up again in some other city? Even if I was guaranteed to die trying to do so, it'd still be worth it. Maybe I'd bring her down with me."
Zemna didn't answer. There was nothing he could say. The kid had made his point. If he wanted to help out, there was no stopping him.
Zemna waited for his companions to add input to the situation. Mosharu was the first to speak up.
"Kid's got guts. Let him do what he wants. As long as he stays out of my way when I try to plant my knuckles into those soft cheeks of Emily's I've got no problem with him tagging along."

Abandoned House - Rooftop - 12:43 PM
Vastion managed to dodge the moving wall of shock by the skin of his teeth. The wall slightly burnt his left arm before he could completely get out of the way. However, once he dodged the wall, he was as close as he needed to be to inflict whatever damage he needed to on Krizno. Krizno probably would have expected Vastion to go all out once he entered melee range, but no. Vastion simply aimed a simple jab at Krizno's left leg. Krizno's leg seemed firmly planted in the ground. Would he be able to dodge this unorthodox attack?

JX City ~ Southern Market - 11:22 AM
Xerxes stood his ground firmly as Raiga tackled him. Raiga was a strong woman. It would take quite a bit to make someone like her cry. The fact that she was at that moment was reassurance of his failure.
And then she asked about Vastion.
"....Vastion is....on his own....He has been since I disappeared. Out of all of repercussions from my disappearance, the fact that I left him to take care of himself....That's one thing I can't ever repay him."

Everyone soon turned their attention to the Quetzalcoatl biker gang and paid close attention to what they had to say in case anything is of importance. Apparently so, it was extremely crucial news of the life and death priority. After listening to Zemna's brief explanation on the situation, a thought crossed Darrell's mind and he gasped in sheer fright. Something was clearly worrying him.
"Yo, wait a minute! So he sayin' some weird force is comin' t'kill everyone in the city or somethin' like that?"
"Looks like it," Mikarah nonchalantly replied. "Oh yeah, aren't you forgetting your bat, by the way? Don't you think we should head back to your place first?"
"...My bat is the least of my concern..." He disconnected eye contact with Mikarah and looked into the sky as he grew slightly depressed from whatever thought crossed his mind. "...but we ain't gettin' outta here without my moms!" It became clear that Darrell was extremely worried about leaving her mother in the city while she was left vulnerable to be driven insane by the mysterious force that befell Jardin del Vicio. He groaned and gripped his skull to keep himself under control from the shock.
"Oh crud, your mom! We can't leave her here, her cooking is too awesome to lose from this planet! Such... delicious... fooooood..." Mikarah stared into blank space as she drooled imagining imagery of steak sirloins, fried chicken, and various types of soul food.
"Girl, this ain't no time t'be thinkin' about fillin' the void in yer stomach." He quickly turned to one of the bikers with worry in his face. "Please, I'm beggin' you. Ya gotta take me back home t'save my moms and pick up my gear. She's defenseless there and I can't leave her to die like this!"

Not wanting to interrupt Raiga and the stranger's apparent reunion, Chingo continues to stay quiet and starts facing the opposite direction. Still, Chingo couldn't help but feel personally humble and awkward at the same time. On one hand, it's moments like these that give Chingo proof that there's still enough good in this world. Good that's worth fighting for. On the other hand, he never learned how to react to strong moments properly, so his defense mechanism has always been to remain quiet and motionless as he stares off into space. Seeing as Chingo has nothing else to do in this situation, he checks his weapon for any noticeable smudges to clean until it is time to move again, or at least until Raiga calls him over for anything else.

He didn't even have the strength to lift his sword to guard.

Veronica looked up at Xerxes with an expression of surprise and disappointment. "You did what?" She had met Vastion long ago, and she knew that Xerxes loved him, like his own son. What could possibly possess him to abandon him like that? "Xerxes... I have no right to judge you. I made a ...similar mistake, but you have to tell me. What happened fifteen years ago? Why did you vanish?"

Krizno cursed quietly once he saw his opponent dodge the lightning wall. This was exactly what he was trying to avoid. He did not want this idiot so close to him, as the lightning demon was at a massive disadvantage here. In a desperate effort to defend himself from the onslaught he knew was coming, he filled his body with electricity. Yellow and blue bolts crackled all over his body.
The massive blows he was expecting did not come though, and he suddenly felt a blade dig into his left leg. Krizno grunted, lost his balance, and fell onto his left knee, using his ax to keep himself up. However, the horned man could not have escaped that without taking any damage himself. The electricity coursing over Krizno's body must have had an effect of some kind.

Aire
I think my face fell flat at what Rean said. He was... staying. Rean was staying here, to try to save this... doomed hellhole of a city. What the HELL was he thinking?
"Rean... are you insane?" There were a few reasons I was still here, admittedly. Lili, for starters. Keeping her safe... when I could. I couldn't protect her from what she wanted to do. The other reason... Rean, Altair, Lucii, Krizno... that's right, I owed them for Lili's new life. As much of a prick that Krizno was, I still owed him.
As for Rean... I couldn't grasp whatever this bond he had to this city was.... I had no idea what drove him to stay here, at the risk of his own life. I hadn't stayed in one place for any length of time in fuck-all knows how long.... what was it really like to have a home, no matter how ratty it was? No, of course.... it was having a place you felt like you belonged. It was one of those things I wanted back from so long ago.
"... well, how much of a dumbass you are is irrelevant." No matter how much I could think otherwise, about this city, and what it was... I had enjoyed my time with these people, and owed them, "... but, I like you too much to let you die here." I think Lili snickered behind me. And Lucii.
"Well, I suppose this is my hell pit too.... may as well burn Xipe off the face of the earth before it goes to hell." Lucii stretched beside me, "Besides, I can't put on my property damage inducing shows anywhere else..." So true. I didn't know what to think of Lucii, honestly... fuck, I was surprised I cared! The girl was loud, noisy, a pyro, and a show off.... heh. She and Rean could be brother and sister, and no one would question it.
"Sis... I..." No. Hell no. No way I would let her stay. Lili wasn't going to die for a second time, not in a place like this. Not in a way like that.
"Lili, you let Oz get you out of her, or I'll knock you-" Wait, why the fuck was I suddenly upside down? I looked down... er, up, and saw Lili had lifted me off my feet easily by the end of her tail. Her arms were crossed, as if she was well aware of what she cut me off of saying.
"Cut it out, I'm being seriou-"
"Did you forget what we talked about already, Aire? Really?"
"This isn't the same, I-"
"Its exactly the same, Aire! You just want me to stay behind again, while you go do something that might get you k-killed!!" She was getting upset now... Dammit, Lili, I really don't want to knock you out, so stop being such a brat about this!
"I don't want YOU to get killed you little idiot!" Lili was going to be the one to cry this time. Her face flashed between anger and shock. Kinda expected that though... we both had our reasons. We didn't want to lose each other, that was for damn sure. She may be a kid, but she knows what she wants.... I think we were just going to end up staring at each other until whatever this thing was reached us.

Eleris kinda just stood there like a statue as Darien said all... that. I'll admit... it was kinda shocking, even to consider. El's ditz mom... she wouldn't... I mean, she was a bit nuts, but evil? Nah. Hell naw. Delusional, sure.
"Hey A-girl. Was there a voice or anything that gave you orders of anything out of that nasty little number on your neck? The girl gave me a confused expression, but suddenly remembered something.
"Y-yes... there was a voice. It was a man's voice giving me orders, so it couldn't be someone's m-mother." I raised an eyebrow... she was stuttering alot... I mean, the shy vulnerable angle was good and all, but.
"Uh kid? Slow down."
"I-I'm sorry... I just haven't ever talked to thing many people... I don't like this many eyes on me." Okay, girl was a a little scaredy-cat for that giant flesh rending abomination she called an arm.

The sense of pride beamed in Alen's face. He saw Georgia as a pushover, unable to do any damage to Alen other than slap things back at him, but being one of the only in the man's lifetime to expose him was some kind of feat in itself.
The man's rhetoric afterward, however, fell and did not leave an impact on the ground. Alen was no barbarian; he was, as he thought of himself, a conqueror. A lord of the forest, a man who could safely call himself the greatest hunter alive. To be reduced to his primal instincts was an affront in itself, a desperate attempt for this business to rectify his credibility.
(Barbarianism...why...who the hell does that remind me of? Oh yeah, Grimassi. They're both the same. So called puppetmen. But they're just figureheads. Same two idiots echoing off of each other.)
But Alen had to hand it to him. It was a good way of bringing him to this battleground, even if it used the hand of that musketeer man...who Alen knew would come back. "Tch. If I keep fighting weak little things, I won't get stronger. Only when I stop getting stronger will I know that I have conquered all."
Yet Alen rose. He heard the roar of the airplanes from the distance. It was time to carry out the instinct that led him to be called a barbarian. Not that he was one. "But you're still a joke. Even a few planes can't put an end to my reign. Fight me like a man or die like a fly!"
Alen darted in an irregular pace against the pavement. If there was one thing to note about gunfire, especially widespread gunfire, it's that it too could be instinctive; as the bullets rained down, there's no telling what could've hit you in the instant that it reached ground level. Noting the spread of rooftops in the area, Alen immediately slid under a protected area and blended in...or rather, became one with the shadows. The trail of his shadow spread as though not to attract attention to Alen himself, and the gunfire could barely reach Alen from the perspective it viewed at that moment.
Immediately, Alen thought to himself. Thought to himself? Now? When bullets rained down from the sky? Surely he undermined the situation.
(That won't matter...my blood is in your body. Your leg isn't the only thing that'll break in the next few moments.)

Jardin del Vicio ~ Tadara Blvd - 12:45
Without saying a word, SHARD grabbed Aku and hoisted him over his...back, I guess. He then activated his jets and flew upward, one robotic hand still clinging to Aku's arm. Georgia's plan seemed to backfire on him, as SHARD was easily able to take out the pilots of two of the helicopters, causing one of them to crash into the mansion and explode, and the other one to simply crash to the ground.. crash, all the while dodging missiles and bullets. SHARD finished off the last helicopter by freezing its propellers with the cryo-cannon. Normally, this would have made it fall to the ground, but SHARD seemed to have a different plan. Sacrificing all of the power dedicated to keeping it's shields up and putting into the jet boosters, SHARD tossed Aku into the air, rammed into the helicopter with all of its might, managed to catch Aku before he could crack his skull on the hard ground below. The force of SHARD's ram sent the falling helicopter in Georgia's direction.
Georgia, of course, attempted to leap out of the way with only one foot. However, he didn't have the stamina (thanks to rapid blood loss and the fact that Alen's own blood was slowly killing him) to leap away quickly enough to avoid the explosion caused by the crashing helicopter. He was caught in the explosion, and buried under the rubble.
"YES!!!" Walther shouted as he witnessed the explosion. Georgia was defeated! It was the end of him. They could high tail it and get out of there...

Abandoned House ~ Outside - 12:45 PM
Zemna had to give in to the group. He had hoped that they wouldn't be so insistent on following him. He knew they weren't going to back down, no matter what he told them. Besides, Zemna didn't exactly take pleasure in leaving Daryl's mother to die. Still, there was one thing he refused to compromise on....
"Alright, it's clear you kids aren't just gonna hightail it no matter what I say. Deryl, Oz'll take you to your mom's and get you out as quickly as he can. Right, Oz?"
"You can bet your soul on it."
"Rean, Aire, everyone else....I'll let most of you follow me on one condition. Lili needs to leave this place. These guys can get her out of here before the really bad stuff starts happening, but she can't follow us, period."
Lili had been through a lot already. Too much. He let her come inside because he felt that she was going to be exposed to that kind of stuff soon enough anyway, given her sister's lifestyle. Keeping her away from that cave wasn't going to prevent her from witnessing another, similar situation just a couple weeks later. But this was different. The thing they risked encountering was on a whole 'nother level of insane. An already heavily traumatized girl her age couldn't possibly walk out of there with a functioning brain, let alone an intact spirit. The damage to her body, mind and soul would be beyond irreparable. All aspects of her would practically be incinerated.
"...I hate to get all gloomy on you guys like this, but....She can't come. I'm not giving her a choice."
Rean could tell that this was serious. The whole situation was serious, and Zemna had acted accordingly, but he was especially adamant about this particular issue. He was literally strong-arming a little girl at this point.
Rean, as much as it was a surprise to him, was afraid of just how far Zemna would go to prevent her from following.

Jardin del Vicio - Abandoned House - Rooftop - 12:45 PM
The electricity did have an impact, much to Krizno's fortune. Vastion was blown back a few feet. Burns covered his face, and several other areas on the front his body. Under normal circumstances, any person hit with such a blast would be knocked on his or her back. However, Vastion, surprisingly, still seemed to have enough stamina to keep himself on his feet as he landed.
At this point, Krizno should have noticed a growing ache or piercing in his leg. What looked like orange crystals seemed to grow out from the inside of his leg at an incredibly fast rate. Eventually, the crystals stopped growing, and, in addition to several piercings in his muscles and skin, Krizno's leg was rendered immpobile. It was as if his entire leg had been turned into a weighty, solid brick.
Vastion didn't just pierce his leg. He immoblized it."

JX City ~ Southern Market - 11:22 AM
Xerxes didn't withhold any information from Veronica as he explained. Still, he couldn't seem to force himself to look her in the eye as he spoke.
"...It was Jerom. I found out that he was stalking us. To be specific, he was stalking Vastion....You remember when I told you how I found him? The castle? That place..."
Xerxes took a moment to look at Chingo. He wasn't sure that it was right to let the young man overhear this...
