Before Alen could bite his lip at taking a backseat to this fight, he bore witness to the next few moments of Georgia's death. As the plane crashed down, he squealed with joy and began to laugh. Joyfully. Completely utter, condescending laughter. It was a fitting way for Georgia to die, and a sad one...to think the man could die of his own weapon, and fail at his own job.
And Alen was the one who exposed him at last.
"Now if only Grimassi could die the same way..." Alen muttered half-heartedly under his breath. Putting his bow away on his back again, he could smile at the thought that the fight was over. But the fight once again reminded him of that puppet man, the one that attempted to hunt him down for so long. At least now, Alen knew what to brace for.
Now only one other issue remained. As Alen tread towards the rubble that burned around the corpse of Georgia, he almost forgot to claim his reward. Hey, the thrill of the battle was enough. But he had to make sure Walther kept his promise, in order to not feel like a guinea pig to the whole situation. And so he shouted, looking in SHARD's direction..."So Walther, is this clown troupe done with its act? Or is there a reward for dismantling Xipe's Totec's frontman?"

When the biker agreed to take Darrell to his mother to get her out of the city in time, he was filled with glee. "Thanks a lot, bruh. I owe ya one!" Darrell made his way to the biker offering him a ride and Mikarah followed after. He turned back toward Yeshua and Inferno as he hopped on the back of the motorcycle. "Yo! I'll head back to the crib and get my moms outta the city safe and sound. Stayin' behind with the others don't sound too bad with you guys?"
"Sounds like a plan, little man," Inferno replied with a thumbs up of approval.
"You two be careful on your way there," Yeshua followed up Inferno's comment, but this time directed at Mikarah. "Be sure you two head back to our location by homing in on Inferno's essence like we did to find you."
"Not a problem, cutie-pie," she responded with a heartfelt chuckle and waved.
It was at this point that the recently reunited group was yet again forced apart. Only this time, everyone was reassured things will turn out just fine for them in the end. They can have their little reunion party later. Right now, things are about to get real and something has to be done about it as soon as possible.

Aku groaned as he was caught like a woman, humiliated by his pathetic current state. "Walt, this is all fine and dandy, but for the love of god, tell me you have some serum... to get this shit out of my blood."

Raiga looked over at Chingo. "Don't worry about him. Chingo, come here." Raiga walked up to Chingo. "Don't worry kid, I'll reverse it when I'm done." And with that, she struck his temple with her middle and ring fingers. All of a sudden Chingo couldn't hear anymore. He was deaf! "Alright, so that asshole Jerom was stalking Vastion. Then what? Don't tell me you thought you could take him."

Krizno smiled slightly when Vastion stumbled back from the lightning shock. This smile quickly faded once he tried moving forward though, as the lightning demon found himself unable to move his left leg. He looked down at it, noticed the crystals, and looked at the horned man with an expression full of rage. Krizno did not even care about the pain he felt from his wound. At this time, all he cared about was making his opponent suffer.
Krizno had no words to say to Vastion anymore. His body continued to crackle with electricity as he launched several bolts at his enemy.

Altair
I wasn't going to have anymore of this. Not right now. Lili could not come with us, end of story. The girl's eyes showed no sign of backing down from us. It was a noble... incredibly noble gesture, I wasn't denying that to myself, or anyone. But she could NOT stay, plain and simple. I approached the girl from behind after circling back around. It was quick and easy, and all I needed to do was chop the girl in the back of the head.
"A- AGH!" Aire was promptly dropped on her face, stifling anything she had to say; her objections weren't really that important right now anyways. Lili swayed left and right, before falling to the side, unconscious. Aire was... not exactly pleased with me...
"A-Altair... you son of a..." I smiled as she shook her head, claming herself... something that surprised me. Maybe she was learning something from all this after all.
"....Th-Thanks. I don't think I could have stomached doing that myself." Her attention turned to the bikers quickly, as I hoisted the unconscious snake girl over my shoulder.
"You guys... get her out of here. As fast as you fucking can... or... or I'll..."
"Calm down bat chick, they'll do it and you know it." Bat chick. That was a new one... thought not that far fetched with those wings that Aire currently had.
"... You're a strange person, Lucii."
"Really now? Kinda normal compared to a bunch of vampires, a brat back from the dead, and a lizardman now aren't I?" Aire forced a grin, as I carried Lili over to Oz and the rest of the bikers. I could feel Aire's eyes on the back of my head as I was handing her over...
"How fast are you going to be able to get out, guys?" It was a simple question to ask, but vital to know. Hopefully, that information would put Aire at ease, and clear her head a little.

As Raiga called out to Chingo, he got on his feet to see what was up.
"Reverse wha-"
Suddenly Chingo felt a tremendous force entering into his temple followed by a loud ringing, and then... silence. Before he knew it, Chingo realized that he couldn't hear anymore! A few seconds later, Chingo started to panic a bit as he banged his hands against his ears.
"What the hell did she do?!" Chingo thought.
Just then, Chingo finally figured out what Raiga meant by "reversing it". Whatever it was that Raiga and the stranger were discussing, he knew now that it had to be something big, or deeply personal enough to temporarily remove his hearing. Otherwise, a more logical method like going somewhere else while those two talked would have sufficed.
"Alright, calm down. Remember, a true hero never panics in any situation. Besides, I already promised Raiga that I would trust her no matter what." Chingo thought to himself.
Getting used to the temporary silence, Chingo tried to make sense of how Raiga was able to make him deaf despite wearing a helmet. Chingo understood that it was legitimately possible for a technique like that to exist, but his helmet is made of 100 percent reinforced titanium, specifically designed to withstand extreme blows. How Raiga managed to bypass a near-impenetrable helmet to get to his temple with just her fingers was a troubling enough thought for Chingo. Perhaps there is more to Raiga than he originally once thought.

Artura - Miriam's Apartment ~ 7:26
"Ahh... damn it. Sorry, I didn't mean it to sound like that, Eleris..." Darien muttered with a tone of slight guilt, rubbing the back of neck as he glanced down. But, what more could he say? It was all just so... coincidental for him. Apparently, Claire shared his thoughts, because, with a short sigh, she crossed one of her legs over her other leg in a more comfortable spot, leaning back against the wall as she regarded the group.
"I know it sounds... strange, but even if, like this girl says," she quickly gestured toward Subject A, who had shed light on who had ordered the attack, "There had to have been some outside help for the security to go off as the guys came at us. Your mom..." Claire was about to continue, glancing at the stunned Eleris and deciding not to continue with her train of thought. Even she had a soft side to these kinds of matters, and dealing family was serious. "Maybe it was someone else. We don't know. But someone helped that man, I'm sure of it." She was about to say who was the most likely suspect. Seline Warren, Eleris' mother and the person with the closest connection to them and easiest access to Artura Security...
"Claire, I think she gets it." Darien finally muttered, sighing after a short period of silence. This was sudden... and it sounded somewhat harsh to him. But whoever had tried to off them had tried to harm his friends and sister, and he would find the one responsible no matter what.

After surveying the scorched, craterized area that the crashing helicopters made, Walther responded to Aku's question.
"SHARD isn't carrying anything that would help out your condition. If we can get out of here, I'll be able to fix you up. Better than new."
Walther, having heard Alen's well-placed question, responded as best as he could.
"If we can make it out of here, yeah. I can't teleport us out or call for a ride. Xipe's put a bunch of chaff in-...."
"Ughn...."
A low groan could barely be heard over the crackling fires the helicopters made. Before anybody could have any doubts about it, a hand smashed its way through the rubble of the crashed chopper. The arm pulled the remainder of the body attached to it out of the rubble.....Or, to be more accurate, half of the body. Georgia's lower torso had become detached from his upper. Impossibly, the Administrator crawled over slowly to Alen, dropping organs and pouring out blood as he went.
"I...Suppose I should thank you..."
The half-body continued to inch toward Alen with weak but dedicated momentum.
"This....Is the day I get quit my crapsack of a job....Walther was right when he said I was fascinated with you...Because were the anti-thesis to me....Alen...."
Eventually, Georgia stopped crawling toward Alen and used his right arm to roll himself over on his back. He stared upward with a drunken smile on his face.
"Do you know....How much I wanted to be you?....Living a life away from all the...the damnable red tape and coorporate bullcrap?.....I watched you kill a boar once, out in the forest. You never saw me....But I saw you.....I wanted to be the one holding that bow, hunting for my own food....living a life away from all cooporate nonsense....It's because of all the darn red tape that I survived, while so many other, better men than I died in the Eight Hour War.....I hate what I've done with my life........All the money, the clever wording and manipulation......I hate it all so much....But I did it bec...Beca..."
The Administrator began violently coughing up blood, further staining his already filthy suit.
"I believed in her...her vi....vi..."
"....This....sn't feel as bad....as I thought it would."
The Administrator's confession came to an end as his turned to the side and he began to mindlessly drool bodily fluids from his mouth. He looked undignified and rediculous to be drooling in such a way, but his corpse also managed to pull off looking oddly peaceful. Perhaps it was the restful look in his eyes, or his posture. Regardless, it seemed that the Administrator, oddly enough, didn't die in pain.
Walther wanted to say something, but the group had more important things to worry about at the moment. A rapid, sharp and beating echo filled the air. Another chopper was on the way.

Zemna nodded in approval at Altair. He was the only one with both the stomach and the authority to do that to Lili. It saved Zemna a lot of trouble in the long run.
Rean urged the group to move onward, knowing that things were just about wrapped up.
"Come on guys, we've got a CEO to ca-...Wait, hold on, what're gonna do about skulky and the noble savage up there?"
"I'll handle it. These bikers will take you to Tadara Boulevard in the mean time. That's where Emily should be headed....You all ready to leave? You'll have to hop on one of the bikes. You should probably hold on to the bikers themselves for safety. Considering the circumstances, I can think of a lot more awkward ways to get over there."

Whatever Krizno threw at him, Vastion seemed to dodge, never looking any worse for wear as he did so. By now, Vastion should have at least been exhausted in the slightest, but that didn't seem to be the case. He was moving around as if fully rested.
Shouldn't he have at least stopped to take a breath?

The conversation was long and seemed emotional. Raiga pointed fingers and made a lot of 'no' gestures during the whole thing. Xerxes kept his cool, but it was easy to tell that he was no less hay than Raiga was.
It was coming to the point where Raiga no longer needed to shield Chingo's ears, as the private matters had already been discussed.

Aku was beginning to get desperate. The thought of dying in such a pathetic way frightened him. He had always thought that he didn't really care for his life too much, but this was different. He thought that if he were to die, it would be from a sword wound, or a bullet, not something in his blood, choking the life from him.
"Alen... if you can undo whatever you did... and let me live... I promise I won't kill you afterwards." It seemed like an odd way to ask for mercy, but Byakutora was serious. The thought of dying in such a way invoked one of the strongest feelings of fear he had ever felt.
JX City ~ Southern Market - 11:37 AM
After Veronica had listened to everything Xerxes had to say, she slowly shook her head. "Fucking dammit. How in hell could the both of us screw up so badly?" Raiga walked over to Chingo, and struck his temple at a slightly different angle, returning the use of his ears to him. She turned back to Xerxes, with a look of hesitation in her eyes.
"... I know you're looking for Carl, but could you take me to see Walt? I mean, it's Carl we're talking about. If anyone can do anything, it's him. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he could beat Zeke. If Byakutora really is working for Walt right now, then I want to see him." She looked down at the ground, shaking. "Okay, I'd really rather not see him. I'm sure he hates my guts, and that a whole lot of bad will come of it. But, I'm sure I'd run into him again, whether I want to or not. So I'd like to see him now, rather than wait. ...Abandoning him was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I at least owe him an apology, even if it isn't nearly enough."

Aire
I felt SOMETHING as one of the bikers drove off with Lili in a sidecar... but mostly, I was just glad for her to be out of harm's way. As for Krizno and Vastion... they could work out that stuff between themselves.
"I would stay to make sure Krizno stays in one piece, but... it seems you've got that covered. Let's go beat down this woman that runs Xipe, then. I'm looking forward to see how many bullets she can block at once..." I grinned. I had to, just a little.
"Yeah, Rean, lets just let Zemna break up Krizno's temper tantrum. I'm looking forward to tasting this lady's blood... after Mosharu punches it out of her. Maybe." I had no qualms about hurting this woman at this point. As far as I knew at this point, she was just another person to take down. Kinda thought it was unusual that a woman started Xipe though....
Lucii was unreadable as usual though... and jumped on the back of one of the motorcycles, gesturing for us to follow. Altair and I followed suit, and we were almost ready to get on with it...

As Alen felt the clutch of the dying Georgia, his vanity quickly converted into anger. It wasn't a matter that he won, or that his reward was in place; but rather, all sides were pleading him. Walther just needed to him to evacuate, but if Alen heard right, there was chaff to avoid. Aku begged Alen for a cure the archer did not have, and although Alen could just let him die, it wasn't part of the deal to make sacrifices.
And then there was Georgia. Weak, grovelling, self-depreciating. A man who deserved to meet his fate. And yet, his very thought sullied the contentment on Alen's face. And that thought of him being an antithesis?
"Bullshit!"
Alen pointed at him with sudden force the moment he collapsed; though he was speaking to a corpse, he knew the dead were not silent. This man was a farcical reflection of Grimassi; a failed puppetmaster, a mannequin to his own plans. And to call himself an antithesis? Could Alen be degraded any further to his own primal capabilities?
"You should not have even considered your job...I can't imagine what it must be like. Trapped, living around in your own little prison cell. Unlike me, you haven't broken free. Don't even kid yourself on trying to be my other half! I may strive for greatness, but you sure as hell are not the future I am looking for. I'll find the man who is my antithesis, a mere plague upon this world; and when I do, you can rot along with him."
For a brief moment, he caught his breath. And he smiled, once again. His finger lowered and he began to compose his thoughts in repose.
"But rest with the thought that you're not a plague, like him. You're just an insect with no disease other than your own, pitiful mind."
And so he spoke. It was hypocritical of the hunter to talk to a corpse like that...what was he thinking? Yet, he felt it was strangely comforting. It made him feel better about himself, the obstacles he had confronted to make it to this point.
Now all that remained was the rest of his troubles. Looking at Aku's eyes as he turned his back on the dead body, he could feel his own suffering. Alen had little pity for the man, who should've known better, but in battle, he had little choice. Having used the blood that stigmatized him for so long, he probably had an idea of how to deal with it. Walking towards SHARD and Aku with a firm look into Aku's eyes, he muttered:
"Your body can't handle foreign antibodies? Geez, you have something to work on if we ever fight each other."
The archer was clearly confrontational with his discourse, but his words all echoed out of his mouth with a soft, contrasting tone. He was clear that somehow, he could help him. And if he could control his own blood, he could probably get it out of someone's system too.
So Alen did something he probably would never do again, just for him, in hopes it would yield something towards or against this swordsman in the future. He lifted his arm once more, and jerked his hand in a waving pattern that seemed to vacuum the mist out of Aku's mouth. As it swirled around his hand, it dissipated, and Alen solemnly closed his eyes once again.
Two birds in one stone. It was time to leave.

The chopper flew over Alen, Aku and SHARD quickly, but much to their surprise, made no efforts to attack. Unlike the other two, it didn't seem to be armed with any weapons.
The chopper's side door opened, revealing a femenine figure that was hard to make out, due to the afternoon glare. No sooner did the door open than did the figure jump off of the helicopter. After what looked to be a 70 foot drop, the woman planted her feet on the ground gracefully. The ground didn't shake, she suffered no injuries. She simply maintained her balance, as if the drop was akin to descending a single stair for her.
The woman's features became more visible one she touched ground. She was wearing a brown business suit over a black dress shirt and a red tie. She seemed to be in her early thirties or late twenties. She had white skin, and blue eyes hidden behind a small pair of reading glasses. A light brown braided pony-tail that split in two down the middle gave her a somewhat regal appearance. Her bangs, split in two, hung across the side of her face. The hair alone seemed to give her a strangely regal appearance. Such haircuts weren't common. Not in this day and age.
The only vaguely threatening thing on her person appeared to be a sword handle and hilt with no blade.
The woman elegantly walked toward the group with a pleased expression on her face.
"I didn't expect the three of you to be able to kill him so quickly. I can only imagine the joy he felt when he died."
Walther, apparantly having nothing else to say, simply clarified the woman's name.
"Emily Stone."
"Walther." She replied back, nodding. She looked to Alen curiously, a single eyebrow raised.
"You....You are the nemesis of order, are you not? The archer that despises society?"

"Now isn't the time, Veronica. Walther's sending him on a mission in about an hour or so. There's a good chance that he'll have to fight Xipe Totec Administrator. It'd be best if you just left him alone for now. Keep his mind clear."

Hearing a female voice and the disquietude in the air crowned off this moment as baptism to Alen's worth as a man. To see him being assaulted from all sides was starting to become less of a thorn and more of a pat on the back. He had stopped speculating the motives of those around him and began to simply address the issue at hand. After all, he had an instinct to follow and wasn't about to be degraded to primal emotions. Not again. Time was ticking.
A crude yet amusing smirk on Alen's face supported him as he slowly turned his body in the direction of the voice which called him. "Well, shit, are you supposed to be his secretary or something? The way you follow him around can only help me imagine his joy. Unless he really demands coffee from you that bad..."
Alen's snide and somewhat misogynistic remark was quickly synced to answer this mysterious woman's curiosity. The rest of his hand clinched, he pointed a thumb back at his bow and quiver and looked her straight in the eye. His whole body began to turn in unison. Clearly his confidence was at benefit from his last encounter.
"You're 50% correct, but that's a failing grade, sorry. The answer was, I despise the existence of constraint. Society lives under the illusion of freedom through law, and that's where my disbelief derives from. "
His body fully turned, he seemed to be without remorse as he gripped his bow, expecting a fistfight with the secretary not too soon from now. He could feel the hostility from her appearance and knew this was no woman t0 be trusted, whether she was harmless or not.
"For someone supposed to be a crony, you sure don't do your homework. I'll give you extra credit for noticing my quiver, though."

The helmet came apart and sank inside the rest of the armor, revealing the woman's long white hair. "Zemna." Miya started, in a calm voice. "I've been listening for a little while. Aku stood up, now that he could breathe easily again. Somehow, the clots in his blood were slowly dissolving. Though he wouldn't say it, he was grateful that Alen spared him from a cruel fate. Of course, he wouldn't pass up the opportunity to belittle him, especially since it was Alen's fault that he almost died in the first place.
"Ha! Looks like you're the one who doesn't do his homework. That's Emily Stone, the head of Xipe Totec. She's no secretary, so I guess that means you're 0% correct, smart ass." Byakutora picked his sword up, ready for a fight. "Hey Walt! This wasn't in the contract, so don't even think I'll fight her for free! If shit goes down, I'm demanding a bonus! Sure as hell would be a shame though. I shoulda known that the female CEO of a crime syndicate would be a classy looker. Oh well. I've thrashed prettier faces."
JX City ~ Southern Market - 11:39 AM
"You're shitting me," replied Veronica. "Walther's sending that nitwit against Xipe Totec? I hope Walt knows what he's doing. If he lets Aku die, I'll smash his cheek bones." She stood there for a bit, annoyed that Walther would hire Aku for a mission against Xipe Totec. If Walther knew that Byakutora was her former pupil, he should have known better than to get Aku involved. What was more...
"... This is bullshit! I should be the one thrashing Xipe Totec's admins, not my dumbass apprentice! I mean, I was pretty upset when I saw what Emily did to Nueva Granja. It's a fucking shithole! But I believed in her. I kept telling myself that she knew what she was doing, and that whatever she was doing, she was doing it for a reason. But I've had enough. I've spent the last nine years fighting beasts in the dark, cold and alone, and in a shitty mood! And now I come back to hear that Jardin del Vicio is even worse? FUCK THAT!" For the first time in a while, Raiga's blood was truly boiling, and it showed. She wanted nothing short of confronting the head of Xype Totec herself and demanding answers from her.
