Oswald could only attack fiercer and fiercer as Dante deflected his strikes. "What would you know of her!?" Oswald's voice rasped out. "I don't recall you ever asking for her opinion before you and your wench attacked us!" As Dante slipped away from Oswald, he could only watch as the demon hunter threw his sword straight at Satsuki. Oswald's eye burned hot as he turned his gaze back to Dante as he assumed a demonic form of his own and careened toward the Shadow Knight. Yet, Oswald would not back down. He leapt to meet the demon hunter and thrust his sinister Belderiver at Dante as they collided. Electricity could not conduct through the crimson crystal of the Belderiver, and even if it could, it wouldn't have made Oswald so much as flinch, not in this form. Only the raw force of the impact would affect Oswald, and he trusted his fate to the single deadliest weapon in his world as the two demonic figures crashed into each other.

A soft light began shining behind Hellboy, as a figure darted from the shadows behind her red-skinned ally. She had hid away behind Hellboy during his entire charge, matching his movements perfectly as to not be exposed to any lightning bursts from Trish. Now that her attention was taken by the demon and the philandering red-head however, it was the best time to strike.
Eyes coldly shining like blue dagger-points in the dim streetlights, the church woman had forsaken her robe, which seemingly disappeared out of nowhere. Wearing just a tight blue shirt and a skirt, along with long blue leggings, her form was more noticeable than when concealed by her holy garbs. Tattoos bearing the holy mark of the church, including angel wings and crosses, adorned her arms. As if influenced by a sudden surge of energy, they were glowing brightly in the dim-light of the streets, making her stand out among the chaos of the battle. But what stood out the most... was certainly the enormous pile bunker in her hands, easily the size of her entire body. She was gripping it tightly, her hands wrapped around the side bar and handle, and the giant bayonet that was protruding from the tip gleamed dangerously in the light of her tattoos.
The Seventh Holy Scripture. The weapon that Ciel only used for the most deserving of targets. Even near it's proximity, it's holy nature seemed to radiate throughout the night.
This weapon, was the strongest against demons. That is what that holy light surrounding it said. If that bayonet touched you, your life would not only end, but your entire existence.
Then, with one movement, the woman who should not have been able to move so fast with such an enormous weapon in her hands-
Exploded. With her entire body under reinforcement, the church woman's legs exploded with movement towards the blonde demon, holding the pile bunker in front of her with a grim expression.
"Tch...!" Ciel's eyes narrowed as a sudden burst of magma and fire erupted near the three of them, presumably from the red-headed Chosen. Was he trying to kill all of them? Even after her sprint, Ciel could have stopped her sprint easily, and pulled away from the flames. But she did not. As if not even heeding her own life, she merely kept sprinting towards Trish, a cold smile overtook her face as she got into range. The flames and magical magma licked at her entire body, dousing her arms and legs with burns that were easily more severe than the one's Trish gave her. But she did not stop.
"Seven..." She muttered, lifting the Seventh Holy Scripture. "Code..."
"SQUARE!" And with that, she gripped the trigger on her weapon, firing the bayonet on her weapon at Trish's torso with enough force to shatter solid rock as if it were tissue paper. The sound of the release was unusual in that instead of the sound of a loud blast, only the sound of ringing bells could be heard in the area...

Piccolo gritted his teeth in frustration. Why wouldn't these rookies listen? This was going to end badly if they didn't cooperate.
"Darn it, just LISTEN to me! I have a way to end this fight here and now, but at least a FEW of you need to cooperate with me for that to happen! Satsuki, Oswald, grab Dante by one arm each and hold him down. I have an attack that could take him out in one clean shot but I need your help in order to do it! I can't do this alone!"
"I need your help," is what he told them. It was the truth. If nobody was willing to help each other, then the team was doomed to fail in the end. Piccolo didn't want to believe that was the case. Amuzi had to have a reason for selecting this particular group of people to work together on one team. She had to have a good reason for giving these warriors a task this important.
He refused to believe that they couldn't work together. There had to be a part of them, however small, that understood the value and necessity of teamwork.

Trish had little concern for the burst of magma erupting behind her. So long as she kept moving, it would not be a danger to her. Her eyes then eyes widened as she saw Ciel emerge from behind the demon, moving towards her at a completely unexpected speed. This was a surprise because Trish had expected the holy woman to just throw more of her swords, or something similar. She had not expected the woman to come out with an attack that was, in Trish's eyes, her ultimate technique.
Being unprepared for such a thing was often costly.
"Damn." Was all Trish had time to say before she was penetrated by Ciel's shaft. The bayonet of the weapon stabbed right through her stomach, emerging from her back and spewing blood out onto the street. The female demon released an agonized shriek and blood sprayed from her mouth. It was obvious this weapon was designed mainly for fighting demons. The pain she felt from the steel being inside was almost impossible to put into words. Then Zelos's flames erupted from beneath her, consuming her and forcing her to release another scream as she felt the fire consume her and burn her flesh.
Trish was hunched over, barely able to stand and with Ciel's weapon's bayonet still lodged within her. Her beautiful skin was burnt black in several areas and her clothing and hair was scorched along the edges. She then smiled and looked the holy woman.
"N-nice...shot."

The two warriors clashed with one another, pushing their power against each other. Dante was losing his patience with this man. There was definitely something off about him. Was he so lost in his feelings for the schoolgirl that it messed with his sense? He was angry because he attacked the girl, yet the demon hunter attacked the girl because she attacked him first with the car. He grit his teeth at Oswald and responded in an annoyed tone.
"Kid, if she had just stayed behind that car then I wouldn't have any reason to attack her. I'm not exactly a fan of attacking people who don't like fighting, especially when they haven't even done a thing to me."
He put more power into his body.
"Then she smashes a car on me, steals my badass Beowulf gear, and uses them against me? Come on, kid! That just isn't cool!"
Dante then heard Trish's screams of agony from behind him and found it impossible to resist looking back at her. He saw the holy woman pierce the woman with some kind of large weapon, then saw both of them be consumed by a burst of magma erupting from the earth.
"Look, we got this green guy! Church lady and I actually thought of a strategy for this chick and I think it worked." Hellboy wasted no time in taking advantage of the situation. As soon as he noticed Trish was still conscious he rushed up towards Ciel's side and smashed the woman's face with his stone fist, the force of the blow pushing the woman off the bayonet and smashing her head into the ground. A loud crack was heard as the pavement cracked and small pieces flew into the air.
The red demon looked down at the electrical demon's unconscious body and rotated his right shoulder, a loud crack coming from the bones. "And stay down..." He quietly muttered.
"TRISH!!!"
That one moment of weakness, however, proved disastrous. Dante was too busy looking at his fallen ally to see that Satsuki had returned his blade by throwing it like a javelin, resulting in the electrical blade piercing Dante's chest and sending him flying back. A loud grunt was heard alongside the squishy sound of the steel piercing his body and the demon hunter flew several yards away from Oswald, crashing onto the ground and lying on his back. Alastor was sticking out from his chest and Dante reverted back to his human form.
He coughed a few times and looked at the blade.
"Wow...this is...honestly like a hobby now."
The demon hunter coughed a few times before turning silent and completely motionless.

Oswald would have retorted the demon hunter if not for the surprise of his own sword snatching him away on the tip of its blade. He could only blink before looking to Satsuki, dispelling his shadowy form. He gave her an assuring nod, before turning to Piccolo.
"You were over thinking things," he stated simply. He turned his attention back to the demon hunter. It was only fitting that such a buffoon's soul be assimilated to further strengthen the frightening power of the Belderiver. However, when he tried to call Dante's soul to the Belderiver, there was nothing. Loose souls always appeared as purple lights in the presence of a Psypher, and yet Dante's body released none. That could only mean one of two things, one of which was much more likely than the other. Oswald walked towards Dante and stopped a few yards away, pointing the crimson blade of the Belderiver toward him.
"Get up," he demanded. "I know you aren't dead. The fact that my Belderiver hasn't absorbed your soul is proof of that." Oswald leveled a stern glare at the demon hunter. "So, do you want to try starting over, or should I just kill you? I could go either way."

"...Nice touch." The church woman reluctantly admitted upon seeing Hellboy's punch, wincing as the burns and energy required to wield the Seventh Holy Scripture caught up with her. The bayonet that had just impaled Trish, similar to her Black Keys, turned into pages of the Bible that fluttered with the cold wind of the night, and the massive pile bunker itself finally crashed to the ground as Ciel let go of the reinforcement enhancing her body. Knees buckling, she winced as she examined the extent of her injuries. Burns covered her arms and legs, ranging from light to severe, and it had taken a serious amount of energy to maintain the reinforcement needed to wield the Seventh Holy Scripture. Trish might have been a mere demon... but she was powerful. There was no way that any of them could take her, or the silver-haired demon hunter lightly.
Moving her hands over the most severe of her burns on her legs, Ciel muttered a quick prayer, her hands glowing a light blue as they began healing. She wasn't an expert on healing by any means, so the most she could do was look at the worst burns, and make them light to moderate at worst. Pouring her mana into her hands, a bead of sweat ran down her forehead as she even she began to feel the effects of all the mana she had spent in the battle. Shaking her head, she placed on the Seventh Holy Scripture, which began glowing with a faint light. The light suddenly became blinding, as the weapon seemed to revert to an energy form and fly back towards it's master. Covering her, the light dimmed down to reveal Ciel covered with her holy robes again, which were apparently also a powerful conceptual holy pile bunker the size of her body.
Her wounds moderately healed, she took a quick survey of the battlefield, her eyes quickly darting about to observe the situation. Her eyes first finding Hellboy, she hesitated, giving him a curt, but tense nod before moving along the street. It seemed... surprisingly enough, that Yumizuka Satsuki was the one to land the final blow to the demon hunter. Interesting. Ciel never thought that she had it in her. In comparison to their side of the street, there's looked like a train had run into one of the buildings, then exploded.
"..." Finally, her eyes narrowed as she looked at Oswald standing over Dante's defeated, unconscious body sword drawn at the ready. Something about that knight just... bothered her. Sighing, she got up on both feet, she winced at the pain running through her legs, walking towards the knight.
"...Are you stupid? If you kill him, how are we going to find the rogue group?" The church woman said coldly, her eyes shining brightly in the dark street. "We didn't come here to kill demon hunters. Sheathe your sword, demonic knight."

Oswald rolled his eyes. "Piccolo said he has other methods of finding them," Oswald shot back at Ciel. "If they're going to continue being hostile, then I have no qualms ending them."

....In the end, it wasn't teamwork that granted them victory. It was luck.
It could have gone much smoother. The group was only fighting two people, and while it ended in victory, the team as a whole sustained heavy injuries. With the exception of Ciel and Hellboy, everyone acted selfishly.
Piccolo had a lecture waiting for each and every one of them. But now was not the time. The namekian walked over to Dante.
"Shut up, Oswald," he said without even giving the knight a glance. "Put him back in his shop. Same goes for the girl. Make sure they don't bleed out. We want to avoid unnecessary killing if we can."
Piccolo then looked to Ciel. She was right to think of the benefits of keeping them alive, but...
"We don't need these two to find the defectors. I already know where they are. They're in the city, a ways north from here. I can sense their energy."
That was the 'idea' Piccolo mentioned he had to his team before things got violent. Sub-Zero, Nier and the others didn't have any way to hide their energy, which made them easy to track for anyone with mastery over ki.
Piccolo looked everyone in the group in eyes once before speaking once more.
"Once these two have been patched up, we're gonna have a chat about teamwork. Meet me outside when we're done. I'll keep watch and make sure Dante doesn't have any more 'friends' that want to defend his honor."

-Zelos-
Zelos landed, oddly enough with a frown etched onto his face. Normally, he hit on beautiful women, not hit them. These two had seemed like they were enjoying themselves with the fight, so he hadn't worried about it too much, but evidently, the church lady had different ideas. Glancing over, he saw that Dante had been skewered by his own sword... apparently by that Satsuki girl.
"Well, that didn't exactly make us any friends, now did it?" Zelos scratched his head, a little frustrated now, "Damn, Lloyd would be chewing me out if he saw this right now..." When Zelos heard Piccolo speak, he cringed slightly. He... had a healing spell that could remedy their situation.
Maybe a little too well. Zelos shrugged, looking at the crater that served as Trish's temporary bed, and back to Dante.
"Uh, yo, Big Green, I can just heal them here, you know. You want me to fix up trenchcoat and his girlfriend on the spot or what? Because I can do that, you know." Granted, He had skipped Piccolo's little introduction when arriving to the sanctuary, but for all he knew, only Amuzi had known his abilities at the time. Zelos couldn't help but spare a glance at Satsuki; she easily looked the most beat up out of all of them. Zelos wasn't in particularly wonderful shape, but he hadn't had a giant combustible vehicle blown up in his hands either.
-Satsuki-
Satsuki's brain worked feverishly, comprehending the fact that she had not only done something right, she had done it right more than she'd hoped for.
"I-I... this isn't okay, is it? I mean... we were supposed to get help from these people, weren't we?" That had originally been the plan, hadn't it? Really, even though they'd fought back in self defense, there was still the unpleasant thought in Satsuki's mind that they had essentially just barged into these people's world, wrecked them, and were about to just leave. That was like kicking down someone's door, beating them up, and leaving without even fixing the door. She felt compelled to help her teammates, even though she didn't really want to fight. Satsuki could tell Piccolo was embarrassed in most of them, and it was probably justified. However, right then, Satsuki was just fighting the urge to apologize to the unconscious demon hunter...
That would have probably gotten Piccolo on her case too, funnily enough.

Hellboy walked past Ciel, gently patting her on the back. "Heh, good job. Not gonna lie, I'm honestly surprised as hell we made a good team. At least better than most of these idiots...not including you, redhead." The red demon eyed his allies in annoyance. He didn't expect them all to clamor towards him and help during the fight, but he was annoyed that they had just left him and Ciel to deal with the lightning woman. Yeah, Zelos helped at the end, but that was only because the green guy told him to. It was better than nothing, though.
Hellboy looked down at Trish then across the street at Dante. He could tell they were both far different from normal humans, obviously. Dante was definitely a demon of some kind, so he'd probably be fine with his healing factor. Trish, on the other hand, he wasn't so sure about. She didn't exactly show anything that proved she was a demon, unless you counted her sword. The red demon's yellow eyes moved to Oswald, responding to his statement to Ciel.
"Killin' them would sorta be an asshole-ish thing to do, kid. We did come to their world uninvited and barged into this Dante guy's place. It's good we defended ourselves and all, but killing them's a bit too much. From what you two were arguing about when fighting, I think we can assume the hunter here isn't a bad guy."

"If you can do it, Zelos, then go ahead. So long as they don't wake up too soon."
Piccolo honestly had no idea that he could do that. Why would he?
Everybody on this team needed to know what everyone else was capable of if they planned to succeed in their task. At this point, they only had vague ideas about what each other could do.
When Satsuki spoke up about her hesitance, it made Piccolo oddly...nostalgic. He remembered a young boy with great power who was afraid of fighting too.
That young boy changed his life forever...
"It'd be great if we could avoid every fight, Satsuki, but that's sadly not possible. We're going to have to defend ourselves, even against people who we don't consider our enemies. Hopefully, when all these rifts are closed, and everyone can go back to their own realm, there won't be a need for this anymore."

Ciel froze as Hellboy patted her back, her form tensing as if unused to the sudden contact. Well... it was true that she was surprised too. Who would have thought that she ended up working with the demon the best out of all of them? The irony was rather amazing, she thought dryly, before turning away from the demonic knight near her. Aside from that... her initial reactions of her group was less than favorable. None of them had given her or them any help aside from the red-headed man... and he had ended up causing most of her injuries. Oswald in particular... if he thought it was a good idea to go into other people's worlds and kill their citizens, then this would be a long trip.
"I-I... this isn't okay, is it? I mean... we were supposed to get help from these people, weren't we?"
Sighing to nobody in particular, the church woman walked near Zelos and Trish's defeated body, trying hard to avoid Satsuki for whatever reason. Just listening to her brought a sudden surge of anger which Ciel didn't exactly know where it came from. It was... irritating, her own hatred of vampires aside. That young girl's naive words... for a second, Ciel was envious that she was able to speak them without hesitation.
"...You said you can heal, right? Help me with her and the demon hunter. Only enough so that they won't die. We don't want them coming back for us." She muttered to Zelos, glancing at Trish's battered body with a grimace. Without a doubt, she had been one of her more... difficult adversaries. She was no Nrvnsqr Chaos mind you, but for some reason, Ciel wouldn't have been surprised if the blonde demon had been able to keep firing lightning for a few more hours, if not more. It was best not to leave things to chance.

-Zelos-
It was a little surprising how carefully Zelos picked up Trish's unconscious form, especially considering the fact that she had just been their enemy not more than a minute or two ago. Carefully, he laid her down next to Dante, and glanced around... thankfully, the rest of the group was close enough together for this to work on them, too. The problem? It might work a little too well... though, that gave him an idea.
"Eh, details..." Zelos muttered to himself, "Oh healing waters come forth, Healing Stream!" Around the entire group, a magical pool of shallow water formed, filling each and every one of them with vitality, repairing a decent amount of the damage done to all of them. Notably, the burns all over Satsuki, Hellboy, and Ciel rapidly healed.
The healing water seems to rise in sparkling droplets, as the spell slowly dissipated...
-Satsuki-
Satsuki marveled as her wounds healed before her eyes; all the little scraps, cuts, the big gashes, the burns on her arms... almost everything. There were still scars, but that magic had definitely taken care of most of the pain.
"Th-thank you... Zelos." The young vampire almost jumped, then, as she saw Alastor rise up and fall over beside Dante, the skin where he'd been impaled completely healed up.
"Don't mention it, pigtails." More or less, their group was almost back to full, while their opponents had just gone from almost dead to "okay". The hole made in Trish by Ciel's Seventh Holy Scripture hadn't healed properly due to its special properties, and had left a nasty scar despite the powerful healing magic the Chosen had just used.
Satsuki was actually beginning to worry that they'd wake up on the spot from that. He'd completely healed her arms, which was one of the worst injuries their group had received. That kind of healing, at least by her logic, was probably more than Piccolo or Ciel had bargained on. Alot more.

Oswald ignored Piccolo as he stood over Dante, ready to strike him if he made any wrong move. Most of his comrades were of the mind to avoid necessary violence, but Oswald was unlike most others. He was not simply trained to fight at a young age; he was trained from childhood to be the strongest and most fearsome warrior in his country. Aggression was not simply of his nature, but his doctrine as well. Of course, he was not without his honor. He would not murder an unconscious person, but if Dante were to attack him as he woke, he would receive no mercy.
