Yes, this is completely written and ripped off from the online RPG Marvel Avengers Alliance, by Playdom. Of course it wouldn't really hurt if they did not know but I'll still credit them for it : D

Hi everyone, Baddi here. Anyway, I'd like to contribute a proposal for a character class system that you guys can work on in your future RP Scenarios and whatnot. Basically, a class system that matches well with a character's personality, which in my opinion would give an added boost for your future RP character bios.
Generalists = characters with no inherent strengths nor weaknesses from other classes. They are well rounded jack of all trades characters, highly adaptable to almost any situation as long as they see fit. They see no harm done in trying to be good in everything, even if it means not excelling in one area altogether. They are the wild cards of any team as heroes or villains do not exactly know what to do against them other than simply overpowering them. As a side note, most if not almost every generalist esque characters are human/demi-human/humanoid characters who rely almost solely on their equipment or any other augmentations aside from mutations or god given gifts.
Example generalists: The Punisher, Megaman X, Yu Narukami, GI Joe, The Rock, Taskmaster, Chameleon, Noob Saibot, Inspector Gadget
Blasters = nuke and juke is the name of the game for these characters. They are armed to the teeth with supreme firepower that may be in the form of powerful firearms, magic, meta-being gifts, augmentations, or anything that grants them such firepower. Their purpose is to deal as much damage as possible without getting into harms way, else they will suffer from their usual frailness, which is almost always the downside of having such firepower. Blaster characters, personality wise, are proud people, proud of their advantages over others but are at times arrogant because of the power they possess. Blasters will use their firepower to nuke down anything that stands in their way, even if its a very durable tank. which will be those Bruisers, in fact they will often unload much of their power on Bruisers to deal TONS of damage against them. However, Blasters are at times overconfident, thinking that they can take down most foes with a single shot, making them very vulnerable to the tactical prowess and skills of Tacticians.
Character archetypes for Blasters = People with hi-tech weaponry, wizards, mages, warlocks, Elemental beings, Soldiers, people who like long range bombardments
Character examples: Iron Man, Green Lantern, Ziggs (league of legends), Tassadar, KOS-MOS, Storm, Kel'Thuzad, Annie Hastur (LoL), Jin Kisaragi, Doctor Strange
Bruisers = Physically, mentally, and socially powerful beings who possess incredible superhuman strength and durability. They love being in the front-lines to protect their friends and/or crush their enemies as they charge headfirst into danger. They are brave, physically imposing, and awe-inspiring beings who are ready to face their challenges. Bruiser characters are not only physically powerful, they are also physically at home with their imposing figures. Bruisers are also the kind of people who "hulk up" which means they get stronger as they fight, and they are more than willing to exert a lot of physical force to crush whoever is standing between them and their people. As physically powerful people, Bruisers simply love getting hit, especially by Scrappers whose reckless abandon and bravery just makes the Bruisers already stronger than they already are. However, Bruisers are also quite confident with how tough they are, which means that a Blaster is more than ready to unload their strongest shot on them.
Strong vs Scrappers, weak vs Blasters
Character archetypes: Hulking Brutes, Knights in shining armors, ANYONE with super strength and durability,
Character Examples: Superman, The Incredible Hulk, Brock Lesnar, Frankenstein, Hercules, Berserker, Gutz, Potemkin, Mike Haggar, Captain Britain, Lu Bu, Tadakatsu Honda, Iron Tager, Garen (league of legends), Sven (Defense of the Ancients), The Terminator, Robocop
Scrappers: While not as physically imposing as that of Bruisers, they are just as deadly when it comes to fighting. Simply put, they LOVE to fight. They will fight whoever stands in their way and will risk everything just so they can eventually win their fights. Personality wise, scrappers define themselves as risk taking, stubborn, and determined people. They simply do not care about the consequences of their actions and they are willing to fight against the odds just so they can satisfy their cravings for a fight. Scrappers are also very fleet footed and fast fighters who use those gifts to match with their risk-taking attitudes. They are highly focused individuals who are more than a match against any foe. Simply put, they are born duelists, and they love a one on one tussle. Scrappers, with their reckless determination, win their fights through that, which makes even the dirtiest players in the game feel ashamed that they have to fight dirty, whoever, their stubbornness makes them a favorite opponent for a Bruiser, which takes advantage of their recklessness.
Strong vs Infiltrators, weak vs Bruisers
Character archetypes: Think of every manga, anime protagonist there is. Also, people who are fast but not as as physically strong.
Character examples: Wolverine, The Flash, Sol Badguy, Ragna The Bloodedge, Zero, Bang Shishigami, Kamina, Kratos, Lee Sin (league of legends), Dante, Saber, Xin Zhao (League of legends), Zhao Yun, Starkiller (Star Wars)
Tacticians: Tacticians are as what the name of their class calls it, they are masters of strategy and refined skills in the arts and sciences. They are highly intelligent individuals who use logic and reasoning in their fights as well as their overall knowledge of the world around them in overcoming the odds or simply dealing with their everyday lives. They always have a plan in check and they will almost always use that plan to achieve their goals. They prefer to fight cleanly and intelligently, looking down on people who cheat their ways to victory. Tacticians are some of the brightest people in the universe and they should never be underestimated. While they may not be as heavily armed as that of Blasters, they are often a lot smarter. They may not be as physically imposing as those of Bruisers or Scrappers, but they are still a lot smarter and often times even more refined in their combat skills. Simply put, they will bait and outsmart you. Tacticians will use their skill and intelligence to overcome their foes, especially those Blasters, However, Tacticians being people who prefer to fight skillfully, are often baited by the dirtiest players in the game. They are prone to getting caught by surprise by Infiltrators who use dirty tactics.
Strong vs Blasters, weak vs Infiltrators
Character archetypes: Brainaics, Nerds, Smart-asses, Master tacticians, senseis, teachers, professors, doctors
Character examples: Batman, Captain America, Fiora (league of legends), Akuma, Samurai Jack, Blossom, Agent Smith, Triple H, Athena, Alexander the Great, Lex Luthor, Swain, Vergil, Dr. Doom, Aizen, Big Boss, Musashi Miyamoto, Qui Gon Jinn (Star Wars)
Infiltrators: They are as what they say, the dirtiest players in the game. Infiltrators are people who love to use sneaky and underhanded tactics to get the job done, and they are never hesitant when it comes to fighting dirty. Something as simple as a rake in the eyes, or a kick below the belt may be some tricks they love pulling off. Other forms of trickery include disappearing acts, smoke and mirrors, phasing in and out of solid matter, it can be anything that would help them win. Infiltrators are also very silent and at times very unpredictable people, as others do not know what they are up to. What scheme could they be thinking, what could come out next on their bag of tricks. Infiltrators are people who use their dirty fighting tactics to bait and outsmart even the smartest of Tacticians, but their dirty tricks back fire on the Scrapper who simply refuses to bend over. Infiltrators also make for the perfect trolls.
Character archetypes: Assassins, Hitmen, Shadowy demonlike people, Ninjas, Pirates, etc
Character examples: Spawn, The Joker, Black Widow, Hazama, Strider Hiryu, Solid Snake, Kitty Pryde, Albert Wesker, Nanaya Shiki, Arcueid, Rider, Alucard Hellsing, Loki, Scorpion, Venom (Guilty Gear), Eddie, Millia, Slayer (Hell, they are the ASSASSIN'S GUILD after all), Cyborg Ninja, Akali (league of legends), Altair, Alex Mercer, Hanzo Haitorri, Kotaro Fuuma, Rikimaru (Tenchu), T-1000 (Terminator 2: Judgement Day)
SIDE NOTES:
1) The class who is strong against this class and weak against this other class doesn't mean they are INSTAGIBBED or they INSTAGIB that class. That basically means when writing it down in RP context, it adds more depth to what the characters do. This is where our writing skills come from, as how are we going to actually make the class system believable without making it too silly (Yee its an RP, a written storyline with the use of our creative minds, NOT A VIDYA GAME)
2) When you think about it, this class system kinds makes designing future characters a lot more fun

After having read ALL OF THAT, now let's have a little fun with it. If you have an existing RP character and you haven't given him or her a "class" of this system, try giving that character a class from here and let's see how it goes.
Important factors to take note off:
1) Look at your RP character CAREFULLY and look deep into their personality aside from their fighting abilities. This greatly helps in giving them the class that they can fit in.
2) GENERALISTS will only apply to characters who are actual jack-of-trades characters.
3) Try to be as logical as possible as well. You can't simply make a character a Bruiser when he or she isn't really a tank or was never meant to be one lol. (EG, Tiny small girl who has no physical strength whatsoever = BRUISER because i said so).
Example generalists: The Punisher, Megaman X, Yu Narukami, GI Joe, The Rock, Taskmaster, Chameleon, Noob Saibot, Inspector Gadget
