"It's simple. I'm the hero...and you're the villain."
Name: Richard Boey
Age: 25
Race: Mutant
Class: Tank
Appearance: On the outside, Dick seems to be a normal, if stylistically inclined, human. He possesses a sharp, pale, clean-shaven face with blue eyes, and a bleached-blonde 80s mullet. He can often be seen wearing an orange tank top, blue jeans, a gray sweater-jacket tied around his waist, and tennis shoes of varying designs and brands. While driving, he may wear an orange trucker hat. He is also occasionally known to wear jewelry of various types and materials.
However, Richard's true form is much more disturbing and inhuman. When forced to fight, or when angered, spikes protrude from the top of his back, the back of his head, and a long horn protrudes from his forehead. When this happens, he tears off the flesh on his face, revealing a mutated skull. The bare skull is revealed to have oversized milars, sharp canines, and arched brows, giving it a sort of maniacal grin.
Over the course of a battle, Rich's layer of fake skin may be torn off, revealing a complex matrix of bones and skeletal machinery. Literal cogs made of bone-matter turned at various points within the structure, and his limbs have skeletal pistons integrated into them. There also is a glowing blue gaseous sphere at the center of his ribcage, which functions as a magical power source to power his entire body.
Physique: While he technically has no muscle tissue to speak of, Richard's false flesh is folded in a way that makes him appear muscular and fit. He has a bit of a "rock star" body in the sense that he definitely looks strong, but also somewhat thin around the stomach.
More interestingly, the physique of the Bonewalker's skeletal form is quite limber, but also thick. Certain bones, especially on the limbs, are abnormally large, strangely shaped (in most cases, cylindrical) and do not quite match up with what a normal human skeleton should look like. The bones are designed this way to compensate for Rich's complete lack of muscle mass. Odd, clockwork-like machinery powered by the magical sphere in the center of his ribcage control various functions throughout his skeletal body. For instance, cogs made of bone can be seen on the sides of his elbows and knees. These cogs turn when Rich wishes to move his joints. In a way, one could say that his body is similar to a robot's, but with bone matter and magic in place of metal and wires.
Personality: Dick is passionate, arrogant, charitable, reckless, clever, naive, thoughtful and tactless all rolled up into one complicated package. He fancies himself a hero, but his loose morals and selfish attitude drive him to do more harm than good.
On the whole, Richard is a remarkably petty person. He isn't above stealing from or deliberately hurting other people if he believes his victims deserve it. He rarely ever feels that his actions are unjustified. However, he also has a surprisingly tender side, and can be very kind to people he believes have been mistreated. He'll go miles out of his way to grant even a minor favor to a complete stranger if he feels enough sympathy for him.
General kindness aside, Dick can be scary when he wants to, especially when it comes to his enemies. He has an unsettling lack of sympathy for those he hurts in combat. If he can get away with it, he enjoys terrorizing and chastising his targets before dispatching them. He torments petty thieves by laughing while hidden in the shadows, toying with their senses until they break down in panic.
Most other people would consider Dick's state of living a curse. However, not only does he insist that this is not the case, he outright brags about how wonderful his powers are. To him, becoming the Bonewalker was the greatest thing that could have happened to him. He seems uncomfortable with elaborating on why, though, and he typically tries to deflect such inquiries with humor.
Weapons: Morph Spikes: Spikes that Dick is capable of forming on his his body at will. These spikes are technically denser than even most mythical medals, but are also brittle, meaning they can be shattered with enough force. Each spike Boey is capable of generating is sharp and deadly enough to pierce even heavy armor, especially if a soft spot like a joint is targeted. For information on how these spikes are generated, see the "Organic Armaments" ability.
Subweapon: Bare brawling Richard's knuckles are as tough as any other part of his body, and are quite effective at inflicting blunt damage to opponents. Each hit from his fists, knees, or any other hard part of his body, feels like a head-on collision with an iron beam to his opponents.
Element: N/A
Abilities:
Everliving Body: Richard's body is remarkably durable in more than one way. His bones are as dense and durable as steel, and more importantly, since he has no organs or blood, he can endure grave injuries such as dismemberment and decapitation. Such injuries will heal over time, depending on how much material he consumes with his Glutton Core (for details, see the Glutton Core ability description).
While Dick is quite durable, though, he is not invincible. Enough damage done to his body will cause it to shut down. If the Glutton Core is not fed for long enough after this occurs, it will cease to work, and the Bonewalker will effectively be dead.
Organic Armaments: Dick is capable of, via cellular manipulation, instantly generating spikes on specific parts of his body, which he can then use to impale enemies. These spikes are sharp and sturdy enough to pierce most heavy metals, though they are also brittle enough to be broken if bashed with enough force. Each spike can grow up to 3 feet long, according to Boey's preference at the time he generates them. The spikes can be produced in these locations on the body...
- 4 spikes on the back of the head
- 1 spike/horn on the forehead
- 3 spikes on the upper back
- 1 spike on the tailbone
- 1 spike on each forearm, pointing forward (think of Baraka's blades), 2 spikes total
- 1 spike on each elbow, 2 spikes total
- 1 spike on each knee, 2 spikes total
- 1 spike on each heel, 2 spikes total
- in addition, Dick can point his ribs outward towards his opponents, effectively making them spikes in and of themselves.
When he wishes, he can cause any one of these spikes to shatter into several fragments. While within medium or close range of an opponent, this can be used to pierce opponents' bodies like shrapnel from a grenade explosion. This is particularly deadly if Boey chooses to use this ability while a spike is already embedded into a person's body.
Under normal circumstances, all spikes regenerate 4 turns after they are destroyed. This can be reduced to 2 turns if Dick feeds his Gluttony Core with something particularly dense, or something that contains large amounts of calcium.
Rocket Limbs: The inner workings of the magically powered organic machinery in Richard's body may be a mystery, but their effect on his combat prowess is not. On each of his limbs, there are what look like small internal combustion engines that are capable of launching his limbs in a pointed direction with the force and velocity of a rocket-propelled missile. When this happens, Richards limbs do not actually separate from his main body. What this effectively does is allow him to punch and kick really hard and fast in short bursts, as well as dash or jump by stomping the ground with the aid of this ability.
Glutton Core: In the center of the Bonewalker's ribcage, there is a glowing blue sphere of energy. Its function is to serve as an energy converter. When physical matter comes into this sphere it is immediately consumed, and useful components are used to maintain the rest of the body. For example, if the sphere were to come into contact with a chunk of adamantium, the adamantium would disappear, and its components would be used to heal any injuries Richard has sustained over time, lubricate the machinery in his joints, among other things.
The Glutton Core can repurpose literally any physical object or form of energy and digest it like food. Calcium-filled items and foods are most effective at providing Dick with sustenance, but just about any solid object or energy source will do. As long as the core is "fed" on a daily basis, any wounds that Boey receives can be healed over time, unless they are lethal.
For the purposes of devouring, the Glutton Core is capable of (much like a vaccuum) sucking up objects and creatures within a 9 foot long, 60 degree wide radius in front of Boey. Entities heavier than 100 lbs typically can only be "yanked" towards the core, rather than pulled the full length in a single post. He can not use this vaccuum-like function of the Glutton Core in the same post as an attack. Boey must also open up his ribcage (he can do so with the same level of ease you'd open your mouth with) before objects can be properly absorbed.
