Name: Minerva Rhoh Estes Vernsund
Age: 24
Race: Human
Class: Lord
Appearance: The rumors often circulating about the beauty of the famed “Mist Princess of Lerwaria” are (despite her embarrassment) mostly true and only slightly exaggerated. Minerva has a fairly lean form with slender feminine curves, her body surprisingly toned from years of practicing her fencing diligently. She has light brown, caramel colored skin, tanned from the sweltering desert sun and an elegant face fitting of that of a noble. Mostly unmarred by makeup, Minerva has a natural beauty in her soft pink lips, dainty nose and lively looking turquoise eyes that tend to be the envy of other women. Fitting of that of a noble, her features are sharp and regal looking, with slender eyebrows and high cheek bones that are usually offset by a warm smile. Her hair is of a sandy blonde color, falling down to her waist in long natural waves with a few rebellious bangs near her face. Pinned to her hair is a metal pin of a desert lily, pure white with strands of blue running down the middle of each leaf. The pin holds together a small braid of hair that runs down her left side.
While Minerva obviously has formal wear such as dresses to change into when the situation requires, the energetic Lord of Lerwaria often prefers practicality to style due to the harsh lifestyle of the Sessran Desert. Most of the time, she wears a white, long-sleeve noble's tunic made of silk, with the sleeves being made of lace. The tunic plunges to a slight "V" shape, exposing the flesh slightly over her chest, where a necklace with a sapphire rests on her neck. Over the tunic, she wears a tight, black leather breastplate that covers her chest and lower torso area. An elegant navy blue skirt falls down slightly above her knees, with a silver vine pattern encircling the lower fringes of the skirt. Black knee socks cover her feet, while a pair of surprisingly worn out leather boots are tightly laced around her. On both her sides are her rapiers, which lie in sheathes on her sword belt.
Physique: For royalty, Minerva's body is in terrific physical condition. Her body is lean, yet toned with light muscle, allowing her to dart to and fro on the battlefield with remarkable swiftness. Her flexibility is also incredible, allowing her to twist and avoid attacks like relative ease.
Personality: As the leader of the hardy, rustic people of Lerwaria, Minerva is resourceful, compassionate and quick-minded at making decisions. Despite her youth, she is well respected by her people because of her willingness to reward the deserving, and swiftly punish the guilty. In the desert, only one law holds true for the people of Lerwara, and by extent, her. The strong rule over the weak. But the weak are protected by the strong. By this law, Minerva feels it her duty to protect those in her land that cannot protect themselves, whether that be her enemies, or her own citizens. Along her willingness to understand the everyday plights of her subjects, these attributes make her quite the ideal ruler for her principality.
That is, when she wants to. Despite the fact that she is a more than capable ruler, Minerva is a rather carefree soul. She loves the freedom that comes with exploration and adventuring, and has a rather irritating tendency (at least to some of her subjects) to disappear on random excursions for weeks at a time without any guards. While it's true that she loves her country, it can be said that she enjoys freedom even more. Minerva dislikes feeling shackled or bound to a single place, often energetically bouncing from location to location with little rest. Despite this, if Lerwaria needs her, she'll return without question.
When not under the burden of ruling, Minerva has a cheerful, friendly personality. She's fairly amiable to those who treat her nicely enough, but can become quickly harsh against her perceived enemies. Because of her easy-going nature, she tends to go with the flow of things rather than worry about what the future might hold. Due to this, it takes a lot to actually discourage or fluster her, as she believes in focusing in the present instead of worrying over past mistakes. Minerva also has a tendency to tease those that she likes, although unexpectedly she is weak to being teased back. The young noble also has earned a penchant for being somewhat eccentric, partly due to her tendency to speak her mind with little restraint.
Weapon:
Mistilteinn
A family heirloom passed down the ages through the Vernsund family, the Mistilteinn is most likely one of the most finely forged rapiers in existence. The rapier has a simple steel hilt and cross guard, with a silver bell guard to protect her hand. The blade itself is thin and narrow like a typical rapier, running to about a single meter in length to give itself a bit more reach than the standard short sword. Mistilteinn's blade is made of an unknown blue-ish steel which is both extremely durable and lightweight, allowing its user the ability to unleash a multitude of high-speed attacks in an instant. Despite its light weight however, the extremely sharp tip of the blade allows Minerva to even punch through solid steel armor should enough force be put into a thrust. The rapier is kept in a simple leather sheath capped by steel, which is decorated by a series of silver vines running down it.
Subweapon:
Lerwarian Parrying Blade
A side-blade that Minerva often uses in conjunction with Mistilteinn. It is a fairly standard sword with a simple hilt and blade, which is around half a meter in length (18 inches). While slimmer than most swords in an attempt to not compromise Minerva's mobility, the spine of the blade is much thicker than Mistilteinn. This allows her to use it as a parrying sword, using it to deflect incoming attacks while riposting with the Mistilteinn. While it is much less sharp than her main rapier, it is still a well conditioned sword able to cut enemies down if need be.
Element: Water (Primary), Wind (Secondary)
Abilities:
Natural Instinct
While every person is inclined to have some level of innate instinct, Minerva's "sixth sense" is developed to the point of reaching minor precognition, making it a huge reason why she is known as the undisputed greatest fencer in her lands. Though she is an unquestionably skilled duelist, her natural ability to feel the most favorable course of action in combat, combined with her quick reflexes and reaction time, make her a difficult opponent to deal with. More simply put, there are little people who possess a greater feel for danger and combat than Minerva. Her natural instincts to combat are to the point where even if her mind is occupied, her body will essentially move on its own if it senses danger, allowing her to fight on near autopilot at times. Additionally, this makes ambushes and sneak attacks difficult on the ruler of Lerwaria. Minerva will be alerted to any ambush a full post before it happens, making assassination attempts on her fairly difficult.
Mist Waltz
The name of "Mist Princess of Lerwaria" is not merely for show. The Mistilteinn is a legendary blade of Lerwaria, famed for its quality as well as its ability to generate a dense, thick mist around its wielder. As long as Minerva wields the blade, a heavy white fog will be generated around her at a distance of around two meters on all sides. At first, the fog will appear fairly light, until it gradually grows in density until mostly hiding Minerva completely. Years of training with the Mistilteinn have allowed her to fight despite the obstruction of vision, although the same can't be said of her opponents. Her elusive style of fencing, similar to that of flowing stream, makes her a difficult target to lock onto when combined with the fog wrapping around her body. The slightest feint or sign of movement in the mist might be a trick of the mind, and what might be a mere parry can turn into a devastating riposte. Despite its advantages however, maintaining it is a constant drain on her mana. Having an extended battle will be disadvantageous for her.
-Mirage Sousta: The same mist that seems to be a defensive ability, can also be used in an offensive manner. If Minerva is wielding the Mistilteinn, a similar white mist will envelop whatever weapons she is currently wielding, as long as Mistilteinn is in one of her hands. Once the weapons are enveloped in the fog, light is refracted in such a way that the length of her weapons seem to shimmer and constantly change length. A common application for this is used when Minerva uses the Mistilteinn in conjunction with her spare parrying sword. The mist can create an illusion that causes the Mistilteinn, her longer blade, to appear shorter than it actually is. In converse, her parrying blade may seem much longer than it actually is when enveloped by the mist. While this seems like a simple trick, when applied in combat, the effects are often deadly. A misjudged dodge or parry may turn into a deadly riposte if given the opportunity, and the simple illusion granted by the Mistilteinn is designed to create many such opportunities.
Mistilteinn - Baldr's Curse
As a fencer and duelist, Minerva has a few obvious weaknesses due to her dislike of ranged combat, the most obvious one being magic. While there are few opponents that can win a one vs one duel close range duel with her, the noble has little defenses against magical attacks. However, her trusted blade, the Mistilteinn, is another story. A legendary blade passed down through the lineage of Lerwaria, it has been long believed that Mistiliteinn is in fact, a sentient blade. The successor of the province of Lerwaria is oddly selected through the passing down of the rapier instead of through lineage. The Mistilteinn is a unique blade which seems to select its wielder instead of the converse. Any other person who grabs the blade will find it unable to be used, and when it is time to replace the current ruler, it chooses another wielder to repeat the cycle.
Of all the past wielders of Mistilteinn, Minerva is one of the more attuned to the blade. While it does not speak to her directly, she has developed a high enough affinity with the Mistilteinn so that it has granted her one of her greatest trump cards in battle. By temporarily receding all the mist surrounding her, Minerva can concentrate it all around her blade before releasing it in a much more widespread radius. Mistilteinn is a blade that eagerly thirsts on mana, hungrily devouring the magic supply of anyone besides its wielder that comes into contact with its white mist. Any magical attack or construction will be stripped down to nothingness before the mist, and most mid-level magical attacks will be long devoured before they can reach Minerva. Additionally, anyone who remains in the mist besides Minerva, be they friend or foe, will find their mana slowly depleted and drained to be fed into Mistilteinn, and consequently, Minerva.
While the technique is her ultimate countermeasure against foes reliant on magic, it does come with a price. Once Baldr's Curse is inactive, and the mist returns to Mistilteinn, the blade cannot immediately generate mist right away. For every turn that Baldr's Curse was active, Minerva cannot produce any mist from Mistiliteinn. If Baldr's Curse was active for three turn, then Minerva would have to wait three full turns before regenerating mist once again, leaving her a mere normal fencer, if not a talented one.
Money: Fair amount on hand
Items: Water canteen, cell phone, first aid tools

Argo
A white desert horse that has been a faithful companion to Minerva for as long as she could remember. Argo has been bred to excel in desert conditions, and he can go an exceptionally long time without needing a drink of water.
